Our lovely contemporary home with modern furnishings is the ultimate spot to enjoy Clearlake. The perfect place for large families, re-unions, or groups of friends, Sunset Beach House welcomes you with a spacious great room for socializing. For very large groups, consider adding Sunset Beach Cottage which shares the property and sleeps 4 people ($200/night). The property is located on a quiet road along the shore, with a private beach and pier, and is nestled in the heart of Lake County wine country.
There is a large oversized yard surrounded by lovely oaks, hammock, fire pit on the beach for marshmallow roasting/smores, private hot tub, and lighted horseshoe pits. Lots of activities for kids-tire swing, innertubes, hammock, games, PS2, horse shoes, hot tub and more.
Nearby attractions include Ceago Winery which is only about one mile away! Robinson Rancheria Casino is 5 minutes away with a boys and girls club for children. Holiday Harbor with multiple slips for $8/night or $20/week is within easy walking distance for launching and securing your boat in a protected harbor or renting a boat/sea doo. You may also rent boats there. (Holiday Harbor phone # is 707-274-1136.)
The property extends on both sides of Lakeshore Blvd. The house and cottage ares on one side, and the lake on the other. The street is VERY quiet and marked 15Mph. We have a pier, a buoy, and a sloping beach. The buoy or the sloping beach is available for tying up a jet ski or small boat. There is plenty of room on the property for a trailer.
This 2200 sq ft two story home features 3 bedrooms and a loft with three beds (sleeps 10-12), and 2 full bathrooms. All linens (blankets/pillows/sheets/towels) are upscale and included. A large high ceiling living room/great room with 42 inch plasma TV and stereo is perfect for entertaining. Full kitchen with everything you would need to cook a festive dinner! Relax with a bubble bath in the beautiful jetted tub in the master bath or on the balcony viewing the lake. All you have to bring is your food, clothes, family and friends!
Pets ok (fully fenced backyard), NO SMOKING. Please call or email us to be added to our mailing list. Please be aware that Clearlake is susceptible to algae close to shore.

One look and it's love at first sight! The owners didn't miss a single amenity. We could have moved in with nothing more than food. I took my 2 Springer Spaniels and they were content to stay in the fenced-in yard. with access to the garage. We could have stayed in the house on the property the whole time with plenty to keep us entertained. I used my own firewood not knowing it too was provided (didn't want to carry it home). (The list: 1. Fire pit (with BBQ Grill) in beautifully landscaped fenced back yard 2. Fire pit on the private beach (with pick nick table and BBQ) 3. Canoe 4. Private pier (Caught 4 fish and a duck) 5. Hot tub 6. Master bedroom with Jacuzzi 7. Spacious, fully equipped Kitchen (8 stools at the counter) 8. large entertainment area downstairs. 9. all beds are comfortable...(even the single beds) 10. Ample parking. 11. plenty close-by activities. We will return, we will tell friends. Thanks Jon and Sue ! Owner response: Thanks John! We are so happy you enjoyed our property with your family and friends and look forward to having you back! Best, Jon and Susan

We spent great 3 days at this house. Everybody enjoed it. Fishing was superior from the private dock, caught a lot of catfish. As far as swimming i would recommend blue lakes, water is very clear there. House was very clean and organised, no complaints whatsoever, would definitely comsider coming back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

my family and three other family friends stayed in this place for two nights. the inside the house is ok! not very clean.. couple of spider net here and there. but we were satisfied with inside the house but pictures are much better than reality. the beach really is not usuable. not only because of the water front but also because the beach is on the other side of the road and it is not attached to the house. so we did not feel safe to let kid runs back and forth. BBQ was not clean.. game room was not set up.. TV set very hard to figure out specially with hand written instruction.... I think considering all the places which we have been, this place deffinitly was over priced. but I should say Blue Lake was awsom thanks for the owner for guiding us to that lake for swiming.Owner response: We are disappointed that this guest did not have a great experience. Unfortunately, he did not read the property description on the website stating: “The property extends on both sides of Lakeshore Blvd. The house is on one side, and the lake on the other.” Also, there are written instructions for using the HDTV and other guests have not had any problems with its operation. He also did not call us or our caretaker (1 house away) to assist him during the stay. Both numbers are on the rental contract and included in the guest instruction book. We are very proud to offer our house to guests described by many as “lovely” and “comfortable” for their family vacation at the lake. Given the numerous bookings we have received the past few years, we believe it is priced appropriately. We encourage potential renters to look at other customer reviews and draw their own conclusions.

I had my 40th Birthday get together with Family and old friends for a 4 day vacation at Sunset Beach House. The house was very accomodating for a pretty large crowd. Kitchen was perfect for cooking large meals plus charcoal and gas barbecues helped as well. Horse shoe pit was fun in back yard. Beach front and dock were awesome. My only complaint would be the algae in the Lake that happens during Summer time which prevents swimming off Beach front and quality fishing off dock. But this is the Lake not the property. If you have a boat then this is really a minor problem. The owners were always available through phone or email with super quick responses with any questions I had. Over all I would rate this an 8 outta 10 only because of algae, so could be a 10 outta 10 during different time of yearRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are grateful to Paul for posting his review of our property. We have also installed a fountain in the lake to reduce algae on our beach, and are working with the county to minimize this problem in the future.

Highlights: Loved Ceago wine tasting! Boating, sitting around the campfire. Kids loved the tire swing, scooters, swimming and hammock. The house was very confortable, nice and clean. We had everything we needed. We liked boys and girls club (across from Robinson Casino). Appreciated the games that were here. Fun times!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Purpose of trip: To have a good old family vacation, stress-free and relaxation. Highlights: Bonfires every night on the beach, watching the sunset/sunrise. Enjoying the beautiful area! Kids loved pushing each other on the tire swing too. Such an amazing vacation. A week in heaven! Away from home in a whole new beautiful place.LOVED IT. Definitely will be back next year, hopefully sooner! Everyone had a blast, even the moody teenager. Thank you so much! Tell your friends to come, so great :)Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I began vacationing over the Memorial Weekend 35 years ago and of all the homes we have rented there has never been one more comfortable. Now with children and grandchildern in tow there was something for everyone. The home is spacious yet allows privacy. The private beach was wonderful and safe for the childeren. Sunsets, toasting smores, sand castles, reading and Papas favorite, fishing....winery tours and shopping. The only improvement that could have possible been made was to have more time. We are all looking forward to next year in our new found home away from home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
