Sunset Villas is a small property consisting of 8 units. Our unit, #8, is upstairs, and has 2 patios, with tables and chairs, overlooking the garden surroundings. It is located one block from downtown, and one block to the gorgeous white sand beach on the Sea of Cortez. Our neighborhood is safe and friendly.
Los Barriles is a gem. The town has everything; grocery stores, small shops, friendly people, art classes, exercise groups, fishing, restaurants. The food is incredible. What Los Barriles does not have are vendors, crowds of people and traffic. It is a community.
Although our unit is listed as sleeping 4, the unit is best for 2 people. We have one queen bed, but have replaced the hide-a-bed with a comfortable couch, which could sleep 1. Also available is an air bed if more sleeping area is needed.
Coffee on the patio, a walk on the beach, lunch at El Viejo (best tacos ever), sun by the pool, dinner with friends, because you will make friends.

If you wish to have cleaning service, please contact property manager, and she will set this up for you. The meter will be read when you come and read when you leave. This is an additional fee during the hot months, when A/C is in use.

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We are retired, living in Oregon. We visited Los Barriles on vacation, loved it, and quickly bought our little condo. Each year we began spending a longer period of time in Los Barriles. So we purchased a lot and built a home in the same area. We now rent out the condo full time. We have never had one regret.
Why the Owner Chose Los Barriles:
Sunset Villas is a small property located one block from town and one block from the beach. We purchased this property as we loved the town, but were not sure just how much time we would spend here. We have since built a home in the same neighborhood, as our time here has increased. This town has something that is difficult to describe. You just have to visit and figure it out for yourself. The neighborhood is safe and friendly. It does not take long to let the stress of your 'other life' fade away. Los Barriles is truly our second home.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We have everything we need, but not a lot of stuff. We eat out often, as the restaurants are close, reasonable, and yummy. It takes your breathe away when you walk the beautiful beach in the morning. Sometimes you might want to hop on a quad and head out an arroyo to a water fall. Quads are very popular! Off to the grocery store, or yoga, or an art class. There is usually some kind of music playing in the town at a local restaurant, accompanied by a 'special' dinner menu. The pace can be as busy or slow as you choose. If you have a car, there are many day trips such as the zoo in Santiago. Of course, there is always Cabo, a 90 minute drive, but be assured, you will be glad to get back to the peace of Los Barriles, where a car is not necessary.
