This flat was well located for sightseeing and a longer stay because it's a 7 or 8 minute walk to the Shephard's Bush tube station on the Central Line which has a number of places visitors would want to go to so it was pretty quick to get wherever we wanted to go. Plus there were lots of buses stopping close by going to the key tourist spots. In terms of tourism there's not a lot of interest in the immediate area, however, it's very well located in terms of accessing the city so it was good value for us because we could be in the heart of things quickly but weren't paying Mayfair or Knightsbridge prices. Also there are 2 supermarkets near the tube station plus the huge Westfield shopping centre so easy to stock up on supplies, also a well stocked convenience store at the end of the street so very handy. Some decent restaurants nearby and Notting Hill was only about a 12 minute walk. The flat was very clean and well equipped, large principal rooms although the second bedroom would be a tight fit for 2 adults, better for 1 adult or two children. Good TV service and fast wireless and it came with a laptop and cell phones so we didn't have to take ours from Canada. The owners were VERY helpful and accommodating. They met us at the flat and gave us good background on the immediate area, where to find everything, where to eat, where not to eat, tips on how to get around the city and some ideas of things to see and do we hadn't thought of. When we phoned them with follow-up questions they replied very promptly and couldn't have been more kind and generous. So we would definitely recommend this flat!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car.

We stayed 8 nights 3 adults and 2 children. The location of the apartment is excellent and very well equipped. Everything worked perfectly (washing machine, kitchen, tv, internet, etc). There are supermarket, shopping center, bus and metro stop very close. The area surrounding the apartment are very nice (Holland Park, Chelsea, Nottin Hill). The only negatives are that the payment of the apartment that can only be made in cash or via paypal extra fee and the main stair lights not working. Otherwise highly recommend this apartment to families with small children like me to spend a few days holiday in London.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We are a family of four (with two young girls - nine and six) and needed a place that was centrally located, and also had enough space for us to spread out and relax when the girls got tired. The Windsor was the perfect place for us. Five minute walk to the Shepard Bush Tube station (on the Central Line), we were able to get to all of the major London sites within minutes. The flat was exactly as described, and Carl and Liz were very helpful with information on where to food shop and nearby restaurants; we also received our security deposit very promptly. The flat was very comfortable and I would definitely stay there again. Wonderful for families that need some space to relax after a hard days sight seeing. Thank you Carl and Liz!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Windsor, experiencing living with the locals versus visitors at a hotel. Carl met us at the flat and gave us a quick rundown on getting around London and recommended a couple of fantastic restaurants nearby. The flat was clean, bright and cheery, just as they told me. They were also very easy to deal with, helping guide me to make payments and the security deposit was returned to me even more quickly. I would definitely look to stay at the Windsor again on my next visit and I'll be reaching out to them for any recommendations if I was going to visit another country nearby. Thank you very much Carl and Liz. Overall good place. The living room was decent size with comfortable furniture. The second bedroom was very small (two twin beds with about 6 inches separating the two). The kitchen was adequate. The washing machine was a bit fussy, and there is no dryer (just a drying rack). Biggest issue was probably the noise level at night. While the flat entrance is off a very quiet residential street, the back side (where both bedrooms face) is off a VERY busy street that generated quite a bit of noise until late at night. The motor cycles started pretty early in the morning as well. As far as location, it's very close to the tube station. It's even closer to a Hilton, where a bus tour picked us up. Grocery store is across from the tube, making it easy to pick up supplies on the way back. If you're going to be sightseeing and gone all day, don't mind some of the quirks and can sleep through the noise, I'd recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

Close to central tube station. Very nice appartment. We were 4 people and it was very comfertable . Little bit noisy in the slipping room; but if you close the windows - there is no noise. I would be glad if there was a drayer beacause there isn't a place to dry the close beacause all the appartment is with carpets (that it is nice and cozy; but we didn't have place to dry the close). The kitchen is very comfortable and have everything you need. The appartment is also close to restorants; supermarkets; fast food restorants; pubs (wallkabout pub ) and Westfilds big mall is 7 minutes away (neat the tube). To be short - we enjoy and have a lovely time . Carl and Liz werw very nice and helpfulness.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

The Windsor was just what my family was looking for. My husband and I were traveling with our two teenaged children and wanted room to spread out and a kitchen to at least cook breakfast in. The flat was on a beautiful street with just a short walk to the tube station. We enjoyed having a grocery nearby, too. We really felt like locals! The owners were extremely helpful leading up to and during our trip. They always responded promptly to my emails and phone calls answering all of my questions. They were extremely patient when there was a mix up with the wiring of money (my fault, not theirs!) This was not really a problem for us, but I thought it worth mentioning that the bedrooms face a loud street. Most nights we were too exhausted to care! If you think it would be a problem for you, I'd suggest you bring earplugs. Overall, it was a wonderful flat. We even recommended it my husband's boss and his family who are traveling to London this summer!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We were very dissappointd with this rental. The Complimentary airport pick up started the mess. The driver was an hour late, drove us to the Housekeepers flat where we waited for half an hour in the car for the housekeeper and her boyfriend, drove to the flat to drop them off and then we were dropped off at Westfield a block away. We came back for check in and waited another half hour for the Housekeeper to show up for check in. It has been 12 days since we checked out and today I received my refund less a large fee for the driver dropping us off at the Westfield mall a block away. It should be noted that it took me several email exchanges back and forth just to get the refund. We took pictures upon our arrival and again after we cleaned the apartment on the day of our departure. The kitchen cabinet door covering the washing machine is hanging crooked and missing a hinge. Two of the kitchen cabinets were missing knobs and just had the screws sticking out.The remote control for the television was not working and per the housekeeper, we were to manually change the channels, which is hugely inconvenient when you have satellite and no guide to find channels. The sofas were both completely stained and dirty. The Master bedroom did not have the egyptian cotton sheets or duvet cover described and pictured in the ad, there was only a worn out brown comforter, no top sheets and mismatched pillow cases. The paint is peeling on the wood trim in that bedroom all along the ceiling. The entrance of the Master bedroom carpet had a huge 14" brown stain of the carpet that housekeeper threw a small rug over to hide. The entire carpet was extremely dirty, not clean as pictured. The spare bedroom also did not have the duvet and sheets as described, instead it also had worn out pink comforters with mismatched pillow cases. The spare bedroom had mildew along all of the wall/carpet edges and in one corner has at least a 10 inch mildew stain. The bathroom had mildew all along the shower tile grout in several area widespread. The towels left included two completely worn out white towels and a beach towel. We ended up buying towels for ourselves at House of Fraser. We would have been embarrassed to leave these towels for tenants and guests. The wood trim all along the bathroom sink had peeling paint. The description says this is a quiet street however the bedrooms face Holland which is very loud making it impossible to sleep. Did not get our moneys worth. Would not reccommend.Owner response: The flat has now been fitted with brand new wall to wall carpet throughout. The bathroom has now been recaulked and painted. Deposits are always refunded within 5 to 10 days of departure. The only thing that was deducted from her deposit was the cost of the groceries (which she wanted us to purchase for her as a complimentary service we do) and top up mobiles Sadly this guest did not read the documents we gave her which stated that the pick up service is complimentary but one hour will be added onto the pick up time just in case the driver gets caught up in traffic or an accident on the way to airport and that check in is at 15:30 (even though we did our best to get her in earlier)

Owner info
About the owner: Hello. We own and operate many flats in London. We live in Notting Hill Gate with two of our girls who go to school here. Our oldest daughter studies in Pamplona, Spain. We moved to London 2 years ago to look after our many flats and business. We are committed to our business and the guests that book with us. Our aim hopefully is to send them off with happy feelings and contentment with their stay.
Why the Owner Chose Kensington & Chelsea:
The flat is on a street called Elsham Road. It is lined with old Victorian homes and gorgeous oak trees. The street is mostly residential. At the end of it there are 3 fabulous restaurants one of which is The Kensington Pub. So, going out for dinner is not a hassle. The Westfield shopping mall and Shepherd's Bush Tube Station are 5 minutes away. Morrisons grocery store is just across from the tube station. Convenience and central are the words that comes to mind when staying in this flat.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
This flat has a lovely classy feel to it. The Victorian fireplace is lovely and brightens up the livingroom any time of the year. The kitchen is very roomy and great for cooking up a delicious meal. Shepherd's Bush Tube Station is minutes away which gets you on the central line direct to all the attractions of London. Going to a play at night is easy when taking the tube. The restaurants down the street are wonderful when you are tired and do not want to take a cab, bus or tube to go out for dinner. It's a lovely part of London. Elsham Road is peaceful and safe but, close to all the sites by tube or bus.
