Our home is in Sun Vail Condominiums which is centrally located in Vail, Colorado. We have a sunny, ground-floor apartment with great views of Vail Mountain. There is a large deck where you can grill on the barbecue or relax in the sun. Inside you can watch the skiers come down while lying on the leather sofa.

The condo features a woodburning fireplace which makes the open kitchen and living room area warm and cozy. In the living room we have Wireless Internet service along with a TV/VCR/DVD. The kitchen has been remodeled and is fully-equipped. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a pillow-top king bed with plenty of closet and dresser space. The bedroom has a second TV. The other bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a laundry room with a new washer and dryer.

Outside a full renovation of the grounds and spa has been completed. A new pool, two new hot tubs with a lounge area, and a bathhouse with a sauna are ready to enjoy. It is a short walk over the pedestrian bridge to the Lionshead Gondola from our condo. We provide locker facilities so you can leave your equipment at the mountain. We are also right next to the town bus which will take you either to Vail Village or shopping.

What was great before has now become even better. We have removed all signs of the 70's by replacing the carpeting with maple wood floors. We have gutted both bathrooms, everything is new including in floor heating under the tile for your warmth and comfort. We were able to do this job on a small budget with a lot of hard work so the savings have been extended to our customers.

Pleasant stay, unbeatable skiing at Vail

We had a very pleasant stay at this condo in Vail. Overall it is a very good value for the location. A family of 5 with teenage kids found it pretty convenient to store our skis at the rental store near the base of the lift, stored our boots at Ski Valet, then walk over the bridge in our shoes. This is our second time in Vail and we paid more for a larger condo in East Vail last time and didn't like having to drive and park nor treading in ski boots and hauling equipment on the shuttle. The condo was very well maintained, clean, spotless and well equiped. We found everything we needed, including some unexpected supplies in the fridge and pantry that enabled us to make some good meals without spending all that extra money on condiments and basic supplies. Especially memorable was the bison steak dinner we bought from City Market (the owner even provided the member discount card, very thoughtful,) utilizing the BBQ grill on the patio. Great laundry room with good machines and detergent, even humidifiers for the rooms, that's pampering. We also enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and hot tubs at the end of the day. To be honest, there is not much to complain about this place besides the furniture and decor which is a bit dated. The only problem for our family with grown kids is the bedding arrangement because they don't like sharing beds. They ended up using the huge floor cushions to make their own beds to sleep on the floor. Thanks for the ample suppy of sheets and bedding. It would be great if there were twin or bunk beds. Another suggestion is to have the DVD in the living room where the family can gather comfortably on the couches to watch a movie instead of crowding on the bed in the bedroom. We would definitely recommend this condo. We had a great time skiing at Vail and plan to come back next spring. Thanks for sharing your nice condo with us, Sallly!

Only a Short Walk to Mountain

Great place, lots of room with a warm fireplace. A ski locker is included at the mountain, so you do not have to carry your skis. Convenient, clean and well maintained. Many resturants are a short walk (near Lionshead). Bus stop is very near by to get to central Vail.

3 Days in Vail

We are a long way from home. We love visiting and Skiing Vail. We are meeting up with friends from around the World, who are staying at Sun Vail. We organise this unit. The owners were very apporachable, and organised everything from their end. We arrived to easily access the unit. It is clean, well maintained and equiped. It has a wonderful view across the Loinshead Village to the Ski Slopes. It had just been snowing when we arrived. There were blue skies the next day, with abundant powder. It is a short walk across the walk bridge over the I70 to collect our skis in the locker at Loinshead. The skiing was great. There was fresh snow each afternoon and evening. Again, a short walk over to Loinshead found many restaurants to suit any taste. We dined out every night. It was a great short stay in Vail.
