Been to many islands, this was the first time I didn't mind staying in the villa and just lounge on the wrap around terrace with the most breathtaking panoramic views of an archipelago of islands floating on turquoise waters. Charmingly decorated, well maintained and very clean. Wi fi is a hit or miss, but I rather enjoyed being off the grid for a few days. You definitely got a repeat customer with me!

We stayed here on our honeymoon in July 2012, and this condo was absolutely perfect! The condition of the unit is exactly as described, but nothing will prepare you for how spectacular the view is. It was a joy to wake up and see islands and the ocean out the windows. The water really is that blue! Bob, Pat, and Chris are very easy to work with and personable. If I had a question, they were only an email away and replied promptly. Chris visited us one evening to make sure everything was alright and we had a wonderful conversation. She was easy to get ahold of through the whole booking process and while we were on the island. This unit was very well maintained and clean when we arrived. The description and pictures are accurate and the size is perfect for a couple. There is an A/C unit in the bedroom, which is great at night. The bed has high quality sheets. The mattress was a little soft for my taste, but not unbearable. The bed overlooks the living room, so you can see the TV easily. But more importantly, you can see out the sliding doors to the balcony, and the amazing view. The balcony furniture is very nice and makes for a lot of time spent outside. The sliding doors open up to allow a cross breeze in, so the a/c isn't needed during the day. The bathroom is right across the hall from the bedroom. The fixtures are older, but clean and well-maintained. No issues with water pressure in the shower and water getting warm quickly. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. We ate breakfast here everyday and cooked dinner three times. All the basics are here. Dishes, cookware, utensils, and some spices make it easy if you want to eat in. There is no dishwasher, so you will have to hand wash everything. Our only complaint was that the knives were dull. We told Chris about it and she said she'd relay the message. Point Pleasant is a hilly resort, so you will get a workout walking around. The condo is at the top of the hill. One pool is less than 1 minute away, and the other less than 3. The beach is a 5-6 minute walk down the hill, and it can be challenging if you don't have good balance. Lots of rocks. However, we rarely saw other guests and had the small beach to ourselves most days. Jack's restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. We ate there 3 times! Being on the east end is very convenient to Red Hook and the ferry to St. John. The capitol is about 20 minutes away. Overall, we were very happy and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

"Simply Heaven" ( Pat and Bob) A spectacular view ending with bedbug and patronization from the Property Manager, Chris and housekeeper Bernadette. Thankfully, I've been blessed to travel hence my unfortunate experience with bedbugs. So to feel I how i felt discussing my issue and verbalizing my frustration with the non- believers was daughting and very very frustrating. From the lack of history and education on bedbugs. From the couch to the bed there attempt and promptness was dismiss with there bad attitudes. Now having to relocate for the remainder of the trip is tedious and annoying. Packing food and traveling down hill is not a great end to thus vacation. BE CAUTIOUS OF THE HILLS AND STEEP STEPS. View amazing. St. Thomas beautiful. Food= not much island food available here or on St. John. I'm interested in island food as I was birth in Jamaica, W.I heard good reviews of Trench Town Rock and Cuzzins in Charlotte. Not much nightlife locally accept Sunday CokiPoint, Downtown Saturday and Tuesday at Charlotte Mattrapolis. Before bedbug crisis, Chris was very informative and relatable. Enjoyed a lot of convos before reaching STT. Bernadette was great went out her way to supply groceries for our room/stay. Would I return? Undecided. TBC lets see if I return to NY with bedbugs and what being done to accommodate such a burden. UPDATE: Upon my NY return, I was not phoned by anyone to apologize nor see if all was ok. Also, I never brought my bags into my home I left it outside and unpacked and bagged my clothing to take to a laundry mat. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Owner response: In response to Simply Heaven view with bedbugs” review, I as owner and property manager would like to address the inaccuracies posted. This guest arrived on May 31 with a departure date of June 6th. Prior to her arrival there were multiple conversations with Chris to ensure her needs would be met efficiently, including provisioning the property as she requested. This is quality customer service! On the morning of June 5th, I was informed of a complaint made regarding bedbugs. Please note this guest arrived May 31st, with no concerns voiced till 24hrs prior to departure. Both of my on-island representatives were on site within the hour! Alternative accommodations were offered and initially accepted, by the significant other who vacated the property temporarily. The exterminator was called, and an appointment secured for later in the day. This guest kept saying “What are you going to do about it” repeatedly, and was unwilling to vacate. The Orcan technician inspected the property; spoke to my representatives, as well as our guest to inform them that the property was clean, with no evidence of bedbugs. The invoice has been emailed to Home Away customer support to verify our claim. This guest and her significant other chose to remain in our unit. I believe every effort was made in good faith to resolve her concern; As a result unnecessary charges were incurred including Orcon Extermination consultation, cleaning and laundry services for an additional property temporarily used. Creating and posting a review of this nature based in inaccuracies is deceitful, and should be removed from the Home Away site. Pat Owner/Manager

PARADISE! LOVERS ROCK! EDEN! HEAVEN! BLISS exemplifies our stay at the Pleasant Point Villa. My wife and I have traveled the Caribbean extensively and by far this is the best accommodation we have rented. We had the pleasure of visiting the island of St. Thomas Memorial weekend, May 24th - 29th. As stated by my wife her mini holiday was Perfect! We truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely condominium - clean, private and romantic. The property is in excellent condition. Rising each morning to the panoramic breathtaking ocean views was marvelous. The comfort of the bed can be best explained as I had to pull my wife out of bed each morning. We made our way to the balcony every evening to enjoy the sun sets. I guarantee you would never get such a remarkable view at a hotel. The owners have chosen this location carefully;the world class view of the neighboring islands is amazing. The property is just a short $1 bus ride away from restaurants, great shopping and the ferry. Stay on the $1 bus beyond the ferry to visit Downtown and Frenchtown to get a true local experience. Be sure to engage with the locals to find hidden gems and learn about the island.Though this is US territory there is still local appeal. Plan a day trip to Megan's Bay, Lindquist and Coki Beach. Take advantage of the ferry and visit Trunk Bay in St. John. You won’t be disappointed! The property owners are truly wonderful. They go beyond to ensure your stay supersedes your expectation. There is not an ounce of imperfection. You won't regret your decision, I promise. Got questions? Chris will respond promptly via text, email or phone. Pat and Bob will tell you everything you want to know! I highly recommend this property. This was our second trip to the St. Thomas/John and it won’t be the last now that we have stayed at this property! Anyone who has visited tropical climates knows you will get bit by mosquitoes and little bugs on the beach; the only thing to do is spray and take caution. During our travels to Jamaica and other islands it’s been the same; its paradise with a slight inconvenience, but well worth it. The allegation of bed bugs, I find to be unbelievable. In addition, the property is very high in elevation, hence the name of the villa. There is a steep hill, but the view is well worth it.If needed to avoid the hill, hire a taxi to take you to and from your room. However, we enjoyed conquering the hill. Your holiday is what you make it, enjoy the moment. Thanks Bob, Chris and Pat.

I have been coming to Point Pleasant for years and this particular condo is truly one of the best! The views are stunning, the owners take meticulous care of the property, all the amenities and upgrades you could want are in the condo (internet, flat screen, upgraded furniture, blinds), and you have peace and quiet, yet just walking distance from the pool and just up from the new (and improved) restaurant "Jacks" with live music and wonderful food. You get a workout going up and down the steps at Point Pleasant, but it's worth it to have these views. If you're going to stay on the property, this particular condo is the one to go with! You won't be disappointed! Cindy 4/2012

We had a wonderful stay. Sailing and snorkeling around St. John with Capt. Phil was a highlight. He was wonderful with our 10 year old. The Barefoot Buddha (near the cruise ships), Fish Tails, Taco Hell, Fat Boys, Duffy's Love Shack, & the Chinese place (all in Red Hook) were great. Buddha Sushi was lousy and costly. The Red Hook has a great selection of groceries. Kayaking & snorkeling the Mangrove Lagoon was incredible. Cheers. Wytt, Jutta, Sara & Eva ~ Anderson, NC 12/2011

We loved the places Chris recommended. We hung out on Lindquest beach - so peaceful & beautiful there. And we also did the day sail with New Horizons to St. John. Our first trip to St Thomas was in '2010'. We were so impressed we had to come back. We booked with Chris & got her condo the first year. However this year we were put in D-34. View is "Breath Taking" in this unit. *Outstanding food? Check out 13 restaurant. The best food we have had here. Snorkeling on Coki Beach is Nice. Lots of fish to see. But defiantly recommend a trip over to St. John's for the day. Take some snorkel gear and hit a couple of the beaches. If you want to take a charter to St John's & Some British Islands go through New Horizons & mention Point Pleasant and ask for island price. Should be 20% =/-. All & all a great vacation spot. Got engaged here this time 5-1-11 & plan to having the wedding here. Head to Sapphire Beach & get brochures to plan out your stay. Parasail for $75 pp. prices prob change through the year, But we always come during Carnival. Take awesome pictures @ Drakes Seat on route 40 overlooking Meghan's Bay, or at Meghan's Bay itself. Sunset here is awesome. May 3rd : Virgin Gorda charter with new horizons {Best day trip recommended by Chris}. Charter was amazing. Well worth the money. Every place you go is more exotic than the next. Have to have a passport to go since it is all B.V.I. Some tips: Take strong sun block we got fried with SPF 50. Take an "underwater camera". They sell them on the boat but they are $20. Make sure you stay with the group. We were left behind at the Baths. They do a head count but it is nerve racking to be lost. Ha-Ha. The Baths are such a great sight. Had a blast being on the boat all day! Defiantly going every time we come! Capt. Justin & crew were funny & helpful. Very laid back. Free booze on boat all day, But make sure you eat breakfast before you go. The B-fast they have for you is more a snack than anything. I know it seems expensive but it is well worth it! Parasailing May 5th << Cinco De Mayo >> sorry so long just want to share so much info. Thank you for the condo. Words can't explain how great of a time we had. Day 1 arrived Saturday afternoon by the time we settled in and went grocery shopping it was dark. We finally got to our unit D-34! Wow! Its a lot nicer than what we have stayed in before at Point Pleasant. This is our 5th time back and we absolutely love this place. We try to visit twice a year. My Husband loves to cook so having a kitchen is a must to us. In our previous stays we were in the B units and had a beautiful view of the water, But this hill side unit view is so so so much more amazingly breathtaking beautiful! The view in the morning is indescribable. This is the perfect view to wake up to. I lay on the balcony at night listing to the waves thinking how blessed I am to be able to enjoy and experience this magical moment. We normally do same thing every time we return. Is there anything better the just Relaxing on the beach and listing to the waves? We like to snorkel over at coki beach. They have the best snorkeling lots of colorful fishes. We usually rent a car and take a ferry to St. John. Oh my goodness the beaches there are so beautiful. I love Hawk nest Bay & Cinnamon Bay the most. Why? Not over populated with cruise ship people and tourist. Very laidback and relaxing. Its not a far walk on the beach and very clean. I have been to all the beaches on St. John, and somehow I always end up back on the beach. Trunks bay is nice but way to many people. They charge to get in and for every little thing. On St. Thomas Magens Bay is very nice and calm voted the top 10 Beaches of the World. Its very nice and relaxing perfect for families. Last but not least we go to the grocery store (Food Center) and buy live lobster and steam it. Its the Best Lobster you will eat in your entire life! I take advantage of it and eat lobster at least 4 times a week! Yea! I know that's crazy but try it and you will see what I 'am talking about! I love St Thomas / St. John and I Love this Unit! Will differently be back every chance I get! Thanks a bunch! Till next time :-) Troy & Jennifer ~ Dickerson, Texas

This was my first time in St. Thomas, USVI and I must say that being able to stay in this unit at Point Pleasant Resort completed the whole experience. We arrived a day earlier than expected, so we chose to stay in one of the complex's units rather than this one and suffice to say, it was mediocre (if i remember correctly, it was an (C) unit). The following day we went to the unit advertised above (D-34) and it was a completly different story. The unit was cleaned to a standard that we expect when staying in luxury accomadations. All the included appliances and furniture were modern, well-maintained and very user-friendly. The view......the view was to die for! Waking up every morning to a beautiful sunrise over the sea definitely made starting the day that much more enjoyable. What I personally enjoyed was the better lay-out of the unit compared to the rental we had for the first night. It simply flowed so much better and on bad weather days, it wasnt uncomfortable to have to stay indoors and cuddle up. Services on the property were pretty good as well. You have a choice of either low-end or high-end dining experiences with Fungi's being the former and the Agave Restaurant being the latter. Choice of two beaches nearby as well as plenty of flaura and fauna to encounter on the way to each (watch out for the iguanas!!). My fiance and I stayed in this unit for just under two weeks, but due to inclement weather, we had to stay an extra night (but unfortunately, not in this unit. I think this time we stayed in a B-Unit). We ended up renting another unit from the resort as we did our first day, and again, this unit was sub-par compared to D34. From our experiences, it was pretty clear the owners took pride in their unit as compared to the rest and their efforts were definitely appreciated! There was even free wi-fi internet provided as well, so staying connected to our jobs was so much easier. On a final note, if you should be fortunate to stay at D34, when you arrive look for this cute, little blue book near the doorway. It has hand-written experiences from prior tenants who all gave glowing reviews and thats where I really wrote down how much we enjoyed our stay.

We have just returned from a short stay at this property and it was really lovely. The unit was clean and the view is breathtaking. It is very private, meaning we rarely ran into other guests. The private beach was perfect, as we had it to ourselves and could snorkel, etc. without getting in the car. The location is convenient to Red Hook (groceries, ferry, etc.). The property is very vertical (steep roads and lots of steps), but that was not a problem. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone that wants to get away without the hustle and bustle of a cruise ship, busy hotel chain, or lots of people.

When we arrived the maid said there was no water to flush the toilets or electricity. She said she cleaned the best she couldwithout power or water. The sheets were nasty so we bought our own. The heat was unbearable so we opened the windows and the bugs attacked us. We had no running water or electric until 1 in the morning. The next day the power was out again so we left it was uninhabitalble. We were told is was the island but the power was on in the rest of the complex. We have come to St. Thomas for 10 years and never experienced anything like this. The owner called and apologized and offered a complete refund. We have not heard fom him again and he won't return calls or emails.BEWARE

My family of 4 stayed here for Spring break in April 2010 and found this condo to be absolutely marvelous. It was just as advertised (clean with a stunning view of the ocean). This unit is located close to Coki Beach which is a great snorkeling location. Being an airline employee and flying on standby and at the last minute, the agent was extremely helpfull and felxible working with us and our booking and we discussed our options up front. As it happens, we were a day late arriving (due to full flights) and we were accomodated without penalty. The booking agent was a tremendous help with directions and local atractions. I would recommend this property and location to anyone.

My wife and I stayed here the week of Feb. 13th. We were so happy with the place. The pictures were accurate, but seemed even better when you got there. The place was very clean and well-maintained. We have stayed and visited many Islands, but never have had a view like this. Our time spent on the balcony was unforgetable. Some nights we would sit out at 2 or 3 in the morning and watch the sky with all its stars, and listen to songs from Chicago. The stereo and music selections was surburb. The location was great, we were 5 minutes to Red Hook and all there resturants and great beaches. Rent a car, it gives you the freedom go and see what you want. Rent this place, you will never be more at home. We can't wait to go back next year.

We arrived in mid January 2010 and from ist day the door was open and we seen "The View" we where in love with the place. The gentle breezes that seem to caress your body on the deck. It was so relaxing I read 3 books on the deck. lol at home I am lucky to get through 1. The water at the beach was beautiful, and the fishes all around I felt like I swam in a aquarium. This place is beautifully decorated and comfortable; owners have large choice of music and movies & books. One of my greatest experiences was to wake up from bed and to see the beautiful sea from the bed....Ahhh I need to get back there. Robert & Renee Mole’

Wake up in your four poster and gaze out towards the sea and other Virgin Islands. Enjoy breakfast on the expansive balcony. Spot the turtles as they visit the bay. Listen to the silence! Visit Coki and say hi to the huge range of tropical fish as you imagine yourself in an aquarium! Hire a kayak from the adjacent hotel and scour the bay for turtles, you will not be disappointed. Visit the array of local bays and just soak in the warm ocean watched by a grandstand of lizards! Plenty of restaurants a drive away ...go to Magen's bay and just wonder at the breathtaking beauty of this beach ... don't go snorkelling though as there is nothing around! A perfect two week orgy of the senses, scenes, rest and relaxation.
