Located high on a hill overlooking the valley below. In the distance you can see the mountains and ocean. A perfect place to get away from it all while being close to everything. There's a shopping center only minutes away with a grocery store, take out food and restaurants.
Enjoy this serenity with a great price!
You are literally minutes away from the golf course, a short drive to the winery, the lavender farm, the road to Haleakala, Maui's 10,000 foot volcano. There are art galleries, a casual French restaurant where you can either eat there outside or take it back to your cottage and sit on the porch overlooking the valley and ocean to enjoy the quiet and serenity there.
One bedroom with a queen size bed and additional sleeping available in the living room.
Recently remodeled, this cottage has all the modern amenities. A perfect way to experience 'upcountry' Maui. In fact, a perfect way to spend your entire summer, fall, winter or spring.

We were very comfortable and pleased with this little cottage. The location was very close to all our activities. We are from the Big Island and though my husband is well familiar with Maui, I am not. It seemed like we were in the middle of everywhere we were going. This cottage is well supplied with information on viviting all parts of the island. They even had a cd to use in your vehicle "On The Road To Hana". This cd was very informative of all aspects on the way to Hana, I would suggest everyone to listen to this, even if you don't take the trip. We also were surprised to find a pineapple and small bag of coffee in the fridge. We would definately stay here again. Mahalo Nui Loa BarabaraDid you find this review helpful? We really like this place. Larger than many 2 person rentals, clean, nicely acquainted and in a great location for us. Nice quiet neighborhood, close to grocery stores and restaurants. We also like the cooler temps for sleeping. Easy access to the windsurfing beach. Great value and great price. The property manager is also great to work with. Down sides: Wi Fi does not work well, and there is a shortage of glasses if you want to have friends for dinner. We will definitely rent here again.Owner response: Aloha and thanks for your great review and suggestions. Additional glasses have already been bought and we're working on the Wi FI. Hope to see you again soon!

We recently stayed at this house for 2 days and had a very good time. We really wanted to extend the stay by another day or so but couldnt due to flight cancellation restrictions. It's an excellent property at a very central location (Hana highway - 15 mins, Halekala National Park entrance - 20 mins, west coast beaches - 30 mins. The house is like new and very well furnished. Snorkelling equipment (in fact there were 3 complete sets), cooler etc is all stocked in the house. Kitchen was very well equipped as well. The pictures posted on this page are exactly what the house actually looks like. However the house when you see in full with your eyes is MUCH MUCH better and impressive and big than the impression one gets after seeing the pictures posted on this web page. We kept discussing that the pictures posted on this web page can be taken in a much better way to give a much better and complete perspective of the house. When we were planning to book this house we were not completely sure. I think that was primarily due to the pictures which dont do justice to how the house actually looks like. However we went ahead and booked and when we entered the house and actually saw it we were in love with the property. Very new, very clean, very well furnished, stocked with books & tourism pamphlets (all the latest ones that u get to see at the airport etc), good size. Very very comfortable. Barbara - Sorry we didnt get a chance to write this feedback in the diary at the house as we left in a rush in the morning. We had a great stay there. Thanks :)Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

If you do not mind about ocean view then this cottage is for you. We stayed there for 6 days and our experience was great. The cottage is located about 8 miles from ocean so we rented a car and reached every beach on the island. We also had some advantage for driving to Hana. When people from Lahaina came to Hana's road to start we were on the half way so we saw no cars on the road. The cottage owner provided everything we needed for living in the cottage and a lot of stuff for beach recreation. We found fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer with detergent, iron and iron board, chairs for beach, different boards for surfing, cooler for beach, masks and fins for three persons and so on. There was airbed in living room there so if you travel with children you can save a little bit. Big bed in Bedroom was very comfortable; we also found a lot of towels. The only thing is that there is no phone in the cottage. There is WiFi though. I can conculde that we are very pleased we were able to book this cottage and we are going to come back next year.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

It was our first time in Maui and we could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. We were furnished with home made bread and jam, also snorkel equipment, beach chairs, and a cooler. The location was centrally located and it was nice not to be where all the tourist stay. The photos were just like the place was and we were greeted shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was ok, which of course it was.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+.

Great place to stay with all the necessities -- and great location to the Crater, Road to Hana, downtown, etc. And the owner provides some really nice "extras" upon your arrival as well as great recommendations for dining. The house was well equipped and very clean. Great stay for us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I recently visited family and friends, making this upcountry cottage the perfect choice. Very clean and very comfortable. In a nice residental area close to the grocery store as well as our favorite place to pick up dinner, the local Superette in Pukanlani. This is a great place if you want to visit a less touristy part of the island. Close to Makawao, the road to Hana, the winery and your already half way up Haleakala crator.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.
