Little Gasparilla is a bridgeless barrier Island with seven miles of secluded white sand and shell-laden beaches only minutes from marina. It’s geographically located on Florida’s west coast. The Hideaway is a lovely, 18 acre complex with large heated pool, sundecks, 2 fountain lakes, outdoor barbecue to name a few amenities. Hideaway Bay has a free ferry service (8 min. ride across) or you can use your private boat to get across from mainland to island.
The space is a two-story town home overlooking the Gulf of Mexico with multiple dockage on the Intracoastal waterway. There is no traffic on the island, only means of transportation is by golf cart. Boca Grande Pass (right off the island's tip) is world famous for Tarpon and backcountry fishing. Our water's temperature during the summer months are 78-89 degrees and during winter months anywhere from 55-88 degrees.
The island is a perfect time for any one and you'll forget you even have a cell phone or computer. During the holidays the entire island gets together and has fireworks, pig roasts/potluck dinner and even golf cart decorating contests. Bring the kids or just get away from the hustle of everyday life. If you do crave city life, the island is only 30 minutes from the great city of Sarasota and an hour from Fort. Myers. No matter what you prefer, get away from it all right here.

About the owner: Art and Tish Mercier live and work in Englewood, twenty minutes from their island paradise. They love the quiet beauty of the island as it reminds them of the old laid back Florida lifestyle.
Why the Owner Chose Little Gasparilla Island:
The vacation rental is remote and a great place for the family. it has seven miles of beaches free from crowds and the best fishing/ shelling in the south of Florida. Our entire family has grown up here, I've raised my kids here and they are raising their kids here, but we wanted a place where we could all go and relax. Since we live in a vacation destination, we figured why not vacation here too.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The property looks to the ocean and it is great to get up in the morning and run/walk the beach and go to bed at night watching the sunset either in the house, on the porch or standing 3 minutes away from the condo actually on the beach. There is a little chapel secluded on the island and boating docks that you can tie up, first come first serve. There's also landing sites for jet skis and kayaks for the nature and watersport lovers.
