We just returned from a long weekend at "Sweet Caroline's". We had never been to Lake Martin before and it was wonderful. The cabin was very comfortable and felt like home. The view was to die for. We will definitely be back soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our week at “Sweet Carolines”. The house is part of a development called “the Village” and is located in quiet slough that was good for swimming, kayaking, and floating. If you have a boat, it is a short ride to either Chimney Rock or the Ridge Marina. The house is new construction with a modern kitchens and bathrooms. This is not a rustic cabin where you will be roughing it. It has a big screen satellite TV, a blu-ray player, and is nicely furnished with a King bed in the master bedroom (top floor) and queen beds in each of the two bedrooms on the first floor. It was nice being able to sit on the screened-in second floor balcony and eat dinner while the sun set over the lake. It was very easy to schedule to house with the owner and the rental process was very simple.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We loved your home...It was so nice..My kids love going too Lake Martin. The parking was not to good for two vehicles. But other than this is was a nice place and very clean.Recommended for: Families with young children

We stayed at Sweet Caroline's for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The home was decorated in a relaxed manner with big couches and chairs, the beds were soft and comfy, and the views were beautiful. We would definitely visit again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This house is in immaculate condition. We spent most of our time gathered around the table on the screen porch taking in the great views. If you want a break from cooking, there are restaurants a few minutes away. There is also a bait shop close by where you can get newspapers if you like to read the morning paper with your coffee.Recommended for: Girls getaway

This was our first trip to beautiful Lake Martin, and we are hooked! "Sweet Caroline's" is neat as a pin with very comfortable, high quality furniture. Plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out. The owners are professional and courteous and they have stocked the cottage with everything you would possibly need. Their extra attention to details came in handy-- like the first aid kit and child-sized life jackets! Lakeside Marina took great care of us for a pontoon and jet-ski rental, and we enjoyed eating at Niffer's twice. We found this to be a very friendly community. Sweet Caroline's is the perfect lake house! The house is amazing and very well kept. We really enjoyed the view from the porch and the location on the lake couldn't be more perfect! We had such a great experience the entire weekend that we cannot wait to go back and rent this home again!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This is a beautiful home with amazing views. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable beds. We loved our stay here. Because of the floating dock, we were able to bring up our boat even though the lake wasn't at full pool. The homes are situated so you have lots of privacy as you overlook the water. Sunsets from the screened porch or dock were our favorite times. Our children also enjoyed having the pool steps away. Thanks again! This house was great. We went down with some friends for the game and had a great time at Sweet Carolines. The master bed & bath were upstairs with a super comfy king bed and great view of the lake. The other two bedroom (each with queen beds) were downstairs and shared a jack & jill bath and also had view of the lake. Ideal for a couples trip or a family getaway the way the house is laid out. We cooked a ton in the kitchen, where you can still watch tv and visit with others in the living room. We had dinner on the screened in porch and watched the sunset. It was very clean and new, nice features. Also, was nice to have a washer and dryer in the house. Ideal place for a Auburn game weekends. The owner was very helpful and prompt with responses, we definitely hope to rent this house again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Our son was graduating from Auburn, and decided to turn this exciting occasion into a family vacation, and it could not have been more perfect! The owners were very helpful and responded very quickly to any questions I had. The lakehouse is so beautiful and the view was amazing! We would leave the curtains open so that when we awoke in the morning, the lake was there to greet us. The pictures only give you a tiny bit of what you will see and find when you get there. I don't think we have had a more peaceful and restful vacation than the one we experienced while there, and had so much fun we hated to have to leave. Having a private pier was wonderful, also. Whenever we were ready to hit the lake, we just jumped into our boat and took off. If you are looking for that perfect location for a memorable vacation, this is definitely it! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for that perfect place for a vacation, and hope to be able to go back soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Excellent location and breathtaking views. Loved the screened-in porch and all the amenities. Very well decorated and maintained. Our last night we went down to the dock and stargazed...you can't do that in the city. We loved our stay. We will definiately be back. The pictures did not show how great it was. Fully furnished and decorated, fun and casual but upscale. We did not go to local restaurants-We cooked out and enjoyed food and family. I would definiately recommend.Neighbors we met were friendly also. The 3 to 4 foot pool close to property was great. Quite with great views.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great Auburn Football weekend at this house. The view is incredible! The house looks brand new and the furnishings are first class. While home for my two week R&R leave from Iraq, my wife and I, along with my 82 year old mother, stayed at "Sweet Carolines" for two nights; it was awesome! The house is brand new with all modern conveniences yet has a "lake cabin" feel. I grew-up in Alabama and fished Lake Martin all my life; what a pleasure it was to spend a couple of days on the lake with beautiful Fall weather and in such a great house. I recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, easy to get to place to stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was a great place to spend a football weekend. The house is so cute and comfortable and the view is spectacular, the makings for a very relaxing weekend! We just returned from a fabulous week at "Sweet Caroline's". The home and beautiful surroundings made for a vacation of our dreams! The place was quiet, peaceful, beautiful, comfortable, and charming! I could add many more adjectives, but you get the idea! The deep water at the pier made for a refreshing treat to battle the August tempratures! What a perfect week we had at Sweet Carolines! I was immediately happy with the upscale decor and furnishings. The house is squeaky clean and the beds and linens are so luxurious. Truly, climbing into the bed each night after a day on the lake was magnificent! This home is well stocked with everything you will need to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. The owners are friendly and very easy to work with. This was a very nice place to stay. We had a great time and hope to return in the future. It is very comfortable, well decorated and has everything you need. The location and water are excellent. Sweet Carolines is an absolutely beautiful property with one of the best lake views I have ever seen. My family had such a great time there that we cannot wait to go back. Imagine waking up in the morning and looking out at a full lake view! Nothing else to say but awesome!!! It is very tastefully decorated and makes me think that I am at the lake and not anywhere else! The convenience to the pool was also beneficial as my kids are big swimmers. Tranquil just doesn’t say enough. This lake get-away home is lovely. The lake view is wide and welcoming. The home is sharp and will furnished. The surrounding area has many restaurants and shops while still having a small lake town atmosphere.
