This was our first time at Watauga Lake and the Guest House and we loved it!! The cool,crisp air, gorgeous mountains & lake, plus the peaceful quiet of nature were great for a Spring Break get a way from Florida. We made friends with the big white Swoosey Goose the first day there and saw him each day after that! We visited the shops in Boone and went Zip Lining at Hawksnest in Banner Elk but most of all we enjoyed the Guest House on Watauga Lake and being back to Nature! Palmers & Elliott's

The house was very spacious. Provided a great retreat from skiing. The view was fantastic. Accommodating 9 people with easy and relaxing in the hottub over looking the mountain and lake was a great plus. A side notes: If you are planning on skiing put Boone, NC into the gps first as the GPS wants to take you through a very sketchy mountain road if you dont. If you have 4 wheel drive it would be fun! Also: Pictures dont do this place justice. It is beautiful.

Had a great time with family at this beautiful Home. Really enjoyed Kayaking and drinking in the majestic views of the mountains, and Natl. Forest. Saw wildlife and really had fun at the Watauga River falls... Just not long enough..Thanks, so much and God Bless, The Sassers

Thanks so mch for the hospitality! Boating was great once we figured out which side of the map was up. Fishing also awesome before we put the hook in my hand! The bike ride down the Creeper Trail was amazing, but best of all as always is the time with family and friends. Thanks so much.........Sandy

The Guest House was a great place for our Rendecous with our two Families. Over the years we've enjoyed staying in the Smokies and this place is even better plus the lake provided some good fishing results for the kids. (Bass & Bluegill) This was the perfect spot to stay while some of our group went to the Bristol Races. We also want to thank you for keeping this lace so beautiful.....

The Guests House has provided our family a great place to reunite. We loved the lake, beautiful, clean, quiet and a great place for the kids to learn to drive the jet skis and to water ski. This was our second visit to the Guest House. Four Years ago we had a fantastic mini-reunion of our families and this time was even better. We especially loved the new deck by the water and the big Boat Dock. We had many laughs and much reminiscing over the last few days. Thank You for providing the ideal place so we could renew our family bond. We look forward to our next gathering here............

The Cabin is great and we had plenty of room even with 4 teenagers. The lake is really clean and plenty for us to do and enjoy. Also note the naked mermaid added a little fun and mystery to the trip! Naturally she was only spotted after numerous adult beverages were consumed!! We hope we can come back again some day! Thank You for having such a wonderful place! Matt, Laura, Drew, Jeremy& Abby

This wonderfulCabin Made our Family Reunion from FL. to NY to Ky and NEV. we all came together and this cabin was the perfect place! What a Blessing! We had a visit from a very large Beacer while sitting in the Hot Tub one nite! He scurred away fast when we all said Hello! Thank you for such a lovely home. Kity..
