This is a Minnesota home that we call our cabin, but the best thing about this home is it sits less than 30 yards from Horseshoe Lake with a great sand beach, sand bottom and crystal clear water. You'll likely see Bald Eagles and Herons, Tall Pines and Evergreens and it's only two and a half hours from the Twin Cities.
The cabin can sleep up to 10 comfortably in 3 queen and 2 double beds in 4 bedrooms, plus up to 4 more in sleeping bags in the Den.
The upper level provides a great view of the lake from either the 4 season porch or the screened in deck. Go to the lower level where you'll enjoy the bar and walkout to the sandy beach, oversized deck and lake less than 30 yards from the back door.
Outside, enjoy 180 feet of lake shore. There are no rocks, so kick off your shoes and walk carefree. The lake has gradual elevation into the water so you can be watchful, not worried, about your little ones on the beach. Children will love digging in the sand, fishing and jumping off the dock.
When you’re ready to venture out, head over to Mission Township Park and enjoy the short biking/walking trail or the charming park built under a canopy of pines. There’s a grocery store in Cross Lake, just 5 miles away, and a liquor store too.
Bring your bikes, pick up the Paul Bunyan trail at Lake Hubert and head into Nisswa for some summer fun: turtle races on Wednesday afternoons; lots of shops; Rainy Days bookstore, one of the finest independent bookstores you’ll ever enjoy; ice cream and coffee shops; breakfast, you name it. Enjoy a meal at one of many area restaurants or golf at one of the renowned nearby courses which, when combined, provide 450 holes waiting to be played.

About the owner: We have loved this cabin since it was first purchased by my Mom and dad in 1999. Along with my brother, we have raised our kids here and know you will enjoy family vacations "Up North" just like we have.

We purchased this specific property because it is so close to the lake (less than 30 yards) and the beach and lake bottom are all sand and most importantly the lake is CRYSTAL Clear.
