Rent a piece of Boulder history! This double brick Victorian was built in 1905. You get the benefit of solid construction and detail of the past updated with all the modern amenities. One of the best features of a double brick house is its acoustics. Watch a car drive by and you will notice that you see it but don't hear it! This is a perfect getaway for a couple.

Everything is brand new since the remodel was just completed in January of 2010. Enjoy the kitchen with cherry cabinets, granite countertops and new Samsung appliances. The bathroom is brand new also and includes a washer and dryer for your convenience. Bamboo floors grace the bedroom and living room. The living room includes a Samsung LCD TV and Blu Ray player along with Direct TV and a view of the Flatirons.

The unit includes high speed internet provided in both wired and wireless access. A new furnace and air conditioner were included in the remodel and are exclusive to this unit so you can select the perfect temperature for your comfort. If you need more than one bed the living room includes a pullout sleeper couch which was selected for its above average mattress.

Although the unit is exceptional its location is even better. It is at 18th and Spruce. Walk to the shops and restaurants of Pearl Street mall. Take a hike up Mt. Sanitas or visit Chautauqua park or the trails on Flagstaff mountain. This is close to CU but far from the noise of "The Hill". If you like to ski a downhill or cross country pass is yours for the asking. This will save you $65 per day alone!

Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights. The location was great!. Very nicely redone. Washer and dryer were huge pluses. Would have given it 5 stars but for the sofa bed which was pretty decrepit.

Rarely am I suprised by my expectations surpassed by reality. This great house combines a historic house with all of the modern amenities.Kind of like how the rich people in Bouulder pretend to be working class. The kitchen is fit for Rachel Ray and the shower is mancave size.Sweet as the young people say.2 blocks from Boulder's best coffeeshop,Laughing Goat, and 3 blocks from Snooze,as fine a breakfast/lunch as you will find.6 blocks to the Bus to Eldora Ski Resort.$75 bucks a day for a pass makes this Victorian gem a bargain.

Listing and pictures are accurate. The home is beautiful, comfortable, clean, and spacious with everything we could possibly need. Payment was smooth and the owner was so helpful, both in setting up the rental, plus correspondence with tips and ideas. Convenient location is ideal. Zero complaints, we will return.

In town for a wedding, never having been to Boulder, the upper story of this duplex perfectly fit our needs. The location is great - just off of Pearl, walkable to a zillion restaurants and shops; in the heart of the non-nature Boulder attractions, yet also in an adorable, quiet neighborhood. It's a block away from a bike rental place, and with bikes, there would be absolutely no need for a car. The apartment is extremely neat and tidy with new, nice appliances throughout the kitchen. The bed is comfortable; we slept like champs it was so quiet. Throughout our stay, we kept remarking that we would have been comfortable staying there for much longer than our two nights. It really felt like a home away from home. The owners were prompt and clear in their communication. We would gladly rent this unit again.

This is a gem of a place for those looking for a getaway while in Boulder. First the location is amazing--within walking distance to so many activities (hiking, mountain biking, walking tours, theaters) and shops (Pearl Street Mall, 29th Street Mall) and eateries (too many!), you'll need a vacation for your vacation. Second: the fish-eyed-lens pictures don't do the apartment justice. Because it's really downplaying how spacious yet cozy AND amazingly well stocked (although the kitchen could use sharper knives) and clean and well...just fabulously homey and functional the place really is. Finally--and this is the icing on top--the owners are so down to earth, friendly and responsive to all communication. Pete was accommodating and helped with a belated Christmas surprise package and also stopped by to shovel snow after Boulder was hit with 16" on the last week of January. All in all, we had a wonderful experience staying here and would highly recommend.

I stayed here 5 nights and really enjoyed my stay and especially the kitchen in the mornings! It is HUGE! Lots of light, new appliances. My son and his girlfriend and I spent Halloween night cooking and had a fantastic time. The queen bed is super comfortable and the living room is cozy and has all the channels you could want. I'd definitely would recommend this, and in fact I will return in the next few months for another visit. Oh, and the neighborhood is perfect since you can walk to all the shops and restaurants on Pearl Street. No more Best Western for me!

My husband and I had a wonderful 10 day stay at this property in property in September. Pete and Cindy have renovated this Victorian home with thoughtful attention to detail and quality creating a relaxing, comfortable home-away-from-home for their visitors. The great location allowed us to walk to restaurants, cafes and shops as well as easy cycling around the neighborhood and to the Boulder Creek path. Pete and Cindy were very prompt and professional in all our communications. We will definitely stay at this property again on future visits to Boulder.

The upgrades and remodel that was done was outstanding. Great accommodations and close to downtown Pearl Street. We walked to everything including the Farmer's Market and the Library. My wife is a clean freak and she even commented on how clean the place was. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone... from a single person, to couple, so small family. Our whole family enjoyed our stay.

                      Owner info

                      Year Purchased: 1985

About the owner: I moved to Boulder in 1982 for my first job out of engineering school. I moved into an apartment in an old victorian and my next door neighbor in that apartment is now my wife of 25 years! We purchased the house on Spruce when we married in 1985. We raised our two daughters there and recently moved to another house on the outskirts of town. We love the downtown house and plan to return to it in retirement.

                      Why the Owner Chose Boulder:
In 1984 my wife and I bicycled across America. We lived in Boulder at the time and realized after touring the country that Boulder is very special. I have been a nordic ski racer for 32 years. We share a love of cycling and I still love to run the trails close by. Boulder provides the perfect mix of proximity to great outdoor adventure and yet has all the amenities and diversity of a college town. It is not too big and not too small. The city planners had the forethought to purchase open space and keep a greenbelt on the edges of town. Enjoy Boulder, I know we do!
