  We had a nice relaxing week at the beach thanks to the comfortable accomodations provided by Marianne. The weather wasn't the best so we were at the house more than expected - 4 adults and 2 children fit comfortably without ever feeling crowded. The enclosed screened porch provided a great hang out spot for playing games, watching the deer pass by and curling up with a good book. The property was just as described and was clean and well maintained. There are lots of extra at the cottage as well, including WIFI, books, games, puzzles, etc. Marianne was a pleasure to deal with and did everything possible to ensure we had a wonderful stay.

  We 4 adults and 2 children had a wonderful visit to Seabrook and enjoyed staying in this cheerful and charming property. The sun porch was ground central for all of our fun activities. Everything one would need is here and we especially appreciated the original art.

  We have been coming to Seabrook for 6 years we spent 2 weeks here. As soon as we put the key in the door we were met with everything that the listing had said it was. The house was spotless and Marianne was wonderful and so easy to deal with. We felt so at home we loved the screened in porch and the table off the porch, we ate all our meals there. We loved overlooking the golf course. We took a bike ride every morning to feed the horses, the location of the house made for an easy bike ride to the beach and the pool. I can't wait to come back and enjoy this house again next year. My family and I felt very much at home. Seabrook is a paradise and this house made it even better. I would recommend a trip to Charleston for sure a beautiful city with so much to do. Otherwise kick back at Pelican's nest hang at the beach and have a wonderful time.

  Greetings! Day one in the books, and our family each went through 3 sets of clothes! Beach, bikes, and fun! Great start. This is our 3rd time on the Island and we love it! Day 2 starts with a 6:30 am walk on the beach and quick breakfast. Then a bike ride around the whole loop. We'll be out of clean clothes by Day 3. This was a great time. Thanks for letting us stay here!

  We had a wonderful vacation in Seabrook and being in Marianne's cottage made it very special. The cottage was immaculate, decorated beautifully, and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything you would need, the washer dryer were super and plenty of supplies were provided. Everything was very tasteful - from nicely decorated bedrooms with comfortable beds and very nice sheets to updated bathrooms with lush towels, soap, etc. We used the sun room most of the time, eating all of our meals there and we used the table in the dining room to work a large puzzle. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room! We did drive to the beach and pool , just a very few minutes away. We even said we liked being where we were instead of right on the beach. It was quiet and we "lost" most of our sand by the time we entered the cottage. The owner and the real estate company were both very responsive and helpful. We hope to visit again!

  We just returned home from a fabulous week at Marianne's Beach Cottage!!! What a great time we had. Marianne, your place was so nice. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute there and was so sad to see our time come to an end. Your reviews were what brought me to your spot and I am so glad to be able to post my review to the list. Everything was just perfect. The beds were so comfortable, the linens and accomodations were top notch, the kitchen was very well equipped, the porch was fabulous, just everything went so well. My husband, my daughter, my grandson and I just loved it. My grandson was already asking to come back again before we left. We enjoyed our bike rides to the beach and the pool everyday and helped us also to work off some of the extra calories we enjoyed as well. We did have a small mishap one evening and had to visit the quick care facility closeby the next day. We had great care there. Our grandson has a small scar on his forehead to remember our trip by but as his Dad told him, "Chicks dig scars". I cannot think of anything but great things to say. The beaches and all the facilities were fabulous. My son-in-law was able to come for a day and said he had one of the best sandwiches ever at the restaurant at the pool that day. It was a great week to come. Not crowded and not too hot. The wildlife was amazing too. We would love to come back again. Thank you for your help and hospitality you showed us.

  Marianne, thank you so much for such a warm and comfortable stay here this week! Right from the start my family and I felt at home. We loved being here so much that we stayed in most nights just to relax and enjoy the time off. As a family of five, we had no problem staying comfortable. We definitely utilized the couches to their fullest abilities! I wish I didn't have to leave, but every wonderful vacation has to end. This condo was the perfect place to do everything and nothing. Thanks for making everything so accessible and easy! We had the BEST time staying here, and will definitely be visiting again! With great thanks.... P.S. I love your dog!

  Our stay at Seabrook was wonderful. The island is a very relaxing experience, and adding to this is Marianne's home. She has missed nothing in making her cottage excellent in every way. It is immaculate and every convenience is provided. As with other guest, our favorite spot was the sun porch over looking the golf course. Such a relaxing place to read and watch TV. We hope to visit Seabrook again and if we are so fortunate our first call will be to see if this great cottage is available. We will be recommending it to all of our friends. Also, our communication with the owner in arranging the rental was prompt and cordial. This whole experience could not have been better. Bravo Marianne!! Ron and Marilyn, Raleigh, N.C.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Seabrook Island. This was our fourth visit and our second to Summerwind 1114. We enjoyed our walks on the beach with our dog (a pug), and the abundance of wildlife right outside our door. One morning an eagle landed just 10 feet from the sun room. It was amazing! We will be back!

  This was my first rental through VRBO and it was a winner! The cottage looked exactly like the pictures displayed, and it was truly lovely - beautiful, yet comfortable for all ages (in this case, ages 6-68). And the setting was ideal: all the activities needed to please every age and interest from swimming, to golf, to horse-back riding, plus amazing venues for meeting people from all over and enjoying really good food. Interestingly, we had expected that nearby grocery and other stores would be very expensive. This was not the case and, in fact, when we had a minor medical emergency, we found nearby excellent care, as well. By the way, the nearby grocery store had terrific gourmet-quality take-out when no one wanted to cook.

  We arrived and was excited to see how beautiful this cottage is! Pictures don't do it justice. The decor makes you feel at home and not fussy. Spending most of our time when we were there in the sunroom. Loved how it was in a shaded part so we could also walk out on deck overlooking the golf course. Kitchen had more than what we needed. Spent time riding bikes we rented for the week to the beach and back. Everyone is so friendly at Seabrook from the people who work there to others who live there too. I could so go back and stay there again! The club pool area was great. You could get a little shade by the pool if you wanted to with the covered areas or sit under umbrella (Not described) on rental property info) just outside the pool area overlooking the ocean. My friends and I took a nap out there one day! Loved walking the beach and look for shells! The bar by the pool/Ocean area was great to hang at too. Thank you to the owner for sharing your lovely cottage!

  We just returned from our stay at Seabrook Island and are extremely happy with the accomodations. The entire stay, from inquiry to key drop-off was smooth and easy to navigate. The home was very clean and had everything a family of four needed to have a great vacation--we even found some beach toys to build a sand castle! The house is well laid out and offered us a couple different places to relax and enjoy our stay. We particularly liked the screened porch as the weather was mild and we could open up all the windows and enjoy the sea air. The listing was exactly as described. If anything, the pictures didn't do justice to how nice the home is. The owner responded to our inquiry quickly and answered all of my questions. The rental process was smooth. The house is a great value with lots of space, nice updates and a great location. We would certainly stay here again.

  My wife,our poodle and I arrived from Toronto in February for a one month stay at Summerwind. This beautifully decorated cottage, situated in a quiet tree lined golf course setting, is really a spacious 1800 square foot home with 2 distinct sitting areas (Sun room/Living room), 2 eating areas,3 bedrooms with 2 adjoining full baths. Fabulous layout ! Everything on VRBO came alive beyond our expectations!! Truly a complete home away from home! Just a 10 minute walk to the south beach (north beach extends around Seabrook Island to the Atlantic side) which we enjoyed every day for a 1 hour walk at sunrise and sunset. Sunsets are glorious! With the amenity card you have access to all activities on the property..golf, tennis, fitness. I played 2 great courses that meander thru the property. 5 minute drive to a large grocery store, shopping, many restaurants, boutiques etc. Historic Charleston,with its southern hospitality is only 35 minutes way. We enjoyed day trips to nearby plantations and a winery . Although the weather in Feb is usually low 60,s daytime ,our days were filled with sun and unseasonably warm temperatures ( many days in the 70s). Marianne,is friendly ,very helpful and efficient,making our visit to her special cottage joyful and trouble free. We plan to come back!

  We are a young married couple from New York, we stayed at the cottage for 1 week and had a great time. The owner most definitely thought of every little detail to make guests very, very comfortable. Everything was very clean and well maintained, the island is absolutely beautiful and everyone is super friendly. We would wake up every morning to eat breakfast in the sun room with views of beautiful trees and lots of sunlight. Walking on the beach (very close to the cottage) and watching the dolphins was amazing. Every evening we would cook dinner and enjoy the family of deers that would walk on our backyard. The cottage is such a I lovely place to stay at, every night we would enjoy sitting in front of the fireplace. Our stay was definitely perfect and I loved everything about it.

  Thanks for sharing your beautiful home for the week. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. This was our first time to Seabrook Island and will definitely NOT be our last. We rented bikes and by the end of the week had explored the whole island either by bike or foot. The sunsets were.....WOW!!!.. The beach and pool were just a short distance and very nice. We ventured in to Charleston a few days. A much needed vacation. Thanks again for all your help and sharing your beautiful home.

  We had an absolutely beautiful vacation at this Summerwind Cottage! This was our first visit to Seabrook as we have always vacationed on Hilton Head Island. What a serene island lightly touched by human activity. The cottage made us feel as if we were staying in a treehouse when we looked out the back. We felt as if we were at home instead of in a rental property - the decor is absolutely amazing. Both North Beach and Pelican Beach were beautiful; our children loved the waves at North Beach. The sparsity of people on the beach made it seem as if we had the beaches to ourselves. The quietness of it all was a welcome vacation bonus!! We also enjoyed the fitness center, lap pool and outside pool at the Lake House. Our Siberian Husky, Sierra, certainly made herself right at home - she loved the cottage and the beach! The people on the island were all so welcoming and friendly to her and to us as well. We were all sad to leave but plan on returning to this charming retreat nestled away from all the hustle and bustle!! Thank you for all the tips on grocery stores, places to eat and visit and for all of the nice amenities and cleanliness in the cottage! ~The Ballards

  We have been home in Tennessee a week and would love to go back to this beautiful home! Of course we do love our MOUNTAINS, but for our vacation away from home --- this was perfect!!! This is a wonderful place for anyone------Best vacation for us ever!!!!! The pictures of the home are the same as when you walk in the front door. Very clean, nothing is broken, and everything you need is at your fingertips. I have been on many vacations where I have rented a home (only to be very disappointed) , and I must say----WOW!!! I now have a dream===This home and Seabrook are tops on my list for future vacations and hopefully owning my own home there!!!!!!!!!!!!! Captain Harry at Bohicket Mariana was also a special boat ride that we will never forget. Charleston is also the BEST!   I am submitting this review before even halfway through my stay because I can't wait to let others know of this wonderful gem of a place. From the moment you first enter the cottage, you immediately sense pride of ownership. The home is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture, the floor plan is open and inviting, and the place is immaculate. The enclosed sunporch nearly doubles the living space, and affords one the feeling of being outside with all the comforts of inside. The kitchen is well stocked, and what a surprise it was to find aluminum foil, plastic wrap, as well as salt and pepper for my use. (A first in all the years I've been renting!) The bedrooms are spacious; the hardest decision I had was which bedroom the sleep in! The owner is a pleasure to work with; I feel I have made a new friend in the process. I look forward to being able to return to this little slice of heaven on earth in the not too distant future.

  Thank you for a wonderful and memorable vacation for my family. Your cottage is beautiful and is located in the perfect setting. We loved riding our bikes to the beach and pool a few minutes away, and enjoyed the quiet and shady retreat when we returned to the cottage. My children loved the wildlife; they especially enjoyed watching the dolphins and seeing the deer free to roam the island. We also traveled to Charleston a couple of days during the week. The drive took about 30 to 45 minutes and is very scenic. We fell in love with Charleston too! We have just returned and are planning for next year's stay.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  Owner response: This lovely family had to change their plans to vacation on the Gulf, where they have gone almost every year, because of the oil spill. Because they told me they liked wildlife and wanted a place away from the hustle and bustle of many beach areas, I knew they were in for a treat by visiting Seabrook, despite the distance they had to travel. I am so pleased they seem to have taken advantage of the many options on the Island and in Charleston--and I hope they do indeed come back next year!

  "Thank you for sharing your beach villa with us. We truly enjoyed our stay. We vacation at Kiawah regularly and wanted to try something new…and bring our little dog to the beach. Your cottage is so cute, and so clean,. I felt as if I was in a family home rather than a vacation rental. Such a pleasant surprise! We hope we can be allowed to stay here again…it feels like home!"

  What a lovely cottage! Comfortable and quiet, a perfect place to relax. Love the view of the golf course from the sunroom - a wonderful place for a morning cup of coffee. With the new beach club so close, it makes enjoying the beach and pool really fun. Looking forward to coming back for another visit.

  "We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in your charming cottage. We especially liked the skylight in the bathroom, as well as the sunporch. We felt like we were in a tree house. Seabrook is paradise, Charleston is so historic, and the Sanctuary on Kiawah is amazing. We hope we can visit again when the weather is warmer."

  "Thank you for the lovely experience while staying at your place at Seabrook Island. All fhree of us in our party enjoyed your very comfortable place, as well as the convenience of being positioned within walking distance of the beach and the lovely natural surroundings on Seabrook. We found all the people who handled the transactions related to our visit to be friendly, efficient and very helpful. I'll remember this as being one of my favorite places in the 48 states I have visited (only two more to go)."

  "Loved your place. We stayed in another Summer Wind last year and much preferred your lovely cottage over our prior one last year. We like the furnishings and that there is plenty of room for all the "junk" we inevitably bring. We really felt less chaotic this year in large part because your home is very well laid out. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. We'll be back again next year."
