Shawano cabin description
This property is in a resort located on the north shore of beautiful Shawano Lake. It features 100 feet of sand beach and two piers for fishing or boat-docking. A sand bar makes it an ideal place for children to play in the water. All sorts of water activities abound, and fishing is good during most times of the year. In the evening, our guests make smores or just relax around one of the firepits on the beach.
Our cottages have been completely remodeled and provide modern, fully-equipped kitchens with new appliances, modern bathrooms, comfortable living rooms, and sun porches. This unit is a two-story, with one bedroom on the entry level and two on the upper level. It has a large enclosed porch overlooking the lake.
Situated on a quiet, dead-end road, the resort is surrounded by the peace and beauty of nature. It is close to the Shawano County Park and campground with a boat launch, huge beach area, and large playground. This property is ideal for the football fan on those Packer game weekends as it is a convenient distance from Lambeau Field.

Nice place, accurate description
Nice place, accurate description
We just returned from a stay at this cabin. It was easy to find, the owner gave great directions. This is one of 6 houses that share the beach, docks and parking lot. We happened to be the only ones there besides the owners, so it was very private and relaxing. I would think it would be far more active with the other units rented and sharing the shoreline. We enjoyed using both the row and paddle boats. Unfortunately it rained so we didn't get to use the fire pit or pontoon. Grills were provided for each unit, which was great. It did have window air units which were put to use during the stormy 90 degree stay. The lake was very shallow along the shore, you could walk 30+ feet out and only be in a 2-3 ft of water. if you took a boat out you had better luck catching fish. Even so my kids caught fish worth keeping off the dock. The unit was clean upon arrival outside of the resident spider webs, but it is a lake so there will be spiders. I didn't realize what was expected of us to clean before leaving until after we arrived. This may be standard for lake rentals, this was only the 2nd place we've stayed at in WI. Not too bad of a list but for a 3 day stay we spent a good hour to two cleaning and vacuuming. We also found a dirty peanut butter knife in the silverware drawer, which was a concern because we do have a severe nut allergy. It was an easy fix, but not something everyone is sensitive to, unless you live with allergies. Overall the owners were very kind and generous. We had a nice time on the lake and would recommend it to anyone who isn't seeking a private rental but is ok with a multi unit. Or for a large group who doesn't want to be in close quarters but could rent several units. It has a sandy beach so that makes it a great location for children, (who can take a shower as it doesn't have a bathtub). It is a large lake that offers plenty of boating and fishing fun.

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: Co-owners of this property are Mike and Vicki Radue and Ralph and Leanne Lange (Vicki's parents). Mike and Vicki also own Get Reel Theaters; Ralph is in apartment management; and Leanne is a high school English teacher. We take great pride in this property and do all of the cleaning and maintenance ourselves.
Why the Owner Chose Shawano:
This unit is part of a resort that we purchased. We fell in love with the area and the lake and became excited at the prospect of remodeling it and creating a comfortable, relaxing 'home away from home' for ourselves and our guests.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
As this unit is right on the lake, we especially enjoy relaxing meals in the sun porch overlooking the lake and sitting around the firepit on the beach in the evening
