With breathtaking mountain views from every window, Skycrest 1722 is a spacious corner unit perfectly located on the sunny south end of the Skycrest building. Relax after skiing in the new in-door hot tub in its own cedar-lined room. Watch satellite TV or one of over 300 DVDs in front of the stone wood-burning fireplace, which warms the expansive living room area in this almost 1,600 sq. ft. one-level condo. Living room and master bedroom French doors lead to a large wrap-around balcony with stunning views of Lake Levinsky and Lone Peak. The condo is decorated in modern western decore with many pieces of Old Hickory furniture.
The Master bedroom with its amazing views has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has great views of the canyon and ski slopes and is furnished with an extra-long twin over a queen bunk bed – fun for the kids, but large enough for adults. There is a sofa bed in the living room. All beds have memory foam mattresses and each bedroom has flat screen TVs with satellite TV and DVD players.
The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a large gas BBQ grill on the deck. Free laundry is just a few feet from the front door. The lift will take you down to the heated garage where there is free firewood. The shuttle is only a five minutes ride to the ski lifts. There is always ample parking near the ski lifts if you prefer to drive.

What a wonderful place...the pictures don't do it justice! Huge, well-furnished, with every imaginable need met. Gorgeous views, well-stocked kitchen (cuisinart cookware, waffle-maker, coffee machine, blender, hand mixer, toaster oven, etc., etc.) Super comfy beds, enormous DVD collection, beautiful fireplace. Every detail is thought out; every instruction is made clear. Had a wonderful Easter weekend with great snow...wouldl definitely recommend to anyone!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We found Steve and Cherie to be wonderful hosts though they were many miles away from their condo. The pictures do not do the home justice! The home is well kept, clean and is the best stocked condo I have ever stayed at! We wanted to make cookies but had no brown sugar. We could not believe there was molasses in the cupboard! The treats that Steve and Cherie left for us were marvelous! Such a thoughtful host yet again. The movies were a boon for us when we took a day off from skiing. There was nothing better than sitting in front of a fire, in warm cozy clothes, drinking (hot chocolate) and watching movies. This condo is a true gem and reflects the owners personality. Please consider staying here. You won't be dissapointed with the view, the condo, the hot tub, or the 1/2 mile to the bottom of the lifts. We plan on returning. Thanks so muh, Steve and Cherie for a true memorable experience.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

This condo is better then you will expect! It has everything you need and more. Also Steve is very helpful and knows alot about montana and is always ready to answer your questions. i had the chance to go to one of the ski-on and ski-off resorts, and it was small and not as cozy. So if your looking for a nice cozy and comfortable place to stay in big sky, chose this one.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our stay in Big Sky was fabulous. This condo is absolutely beautiful and the view is breathtaking. Words do not do it justice. The furnishings and decor are very homey and comfy, not to mention very high quality. The bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to get out of it in the morning. The kitchen had everything you can imagine to prepare meals, the wood fireplace was wonderful to have and the hot tub was an added bonus. We would highly recommend this condo for your Big Sky adventure.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The process of renting directly from the owner's could not have been any easier or more efficent. No problems, what so ever! The owners had thought of everything you could possible need, and then some. The owners treated us as friends, offering to assist us anyway they could and calling to be sure we were happy dring our stay. Loved the spacious condo, it was huge and the views were beautiful! The kitchen had every cooking utensil and gadget you could think of. I would highly recommend this condo to my friends and family. We had a wonderful winter vacation skiing and riding snowmobiles in Yellow stone! Sandra Hyder Landrum, South CarolinaDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Steve and Cherie have really set this condo up nicely. It has the best view in Big Sky, plenty of electronic amenities (3 TVs and DSL) and is very convenient to skiing. Steve is a great guy to call for a place to rent -- very reasonable, professional, and fun to talk with. I would rather keep the lift lines short, but I have to highly recommend this condo because it is a great value. Visit and enjoy!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Words fail. Steve has made this a place to remember and to yearn to return to. It is lovlier than the pictures. Spacious and well-appointed, they have thought of everything you might need. The kitchen had every staple and seasoning we needed. The wine, pancakes, coffee and syrup were a very much-appreciated extra touch. But the view, the view, the view, from the master bedroom and living room!!! It was such a treat to get my morning coffee and climb back into bed to watch the morning as it raced across Lone Mountain. The hot tub was wonderful. The management, the owner, everyone we came in contact with could not have been more helpful and gracious. Thank you again for a lovely 4 days in Big Sky. Since you are reading this, you are one of the fortunate ones to have stumbled across this property .... stop all your lodging searches and book this place right now! My boyfriend and I, along with one other couple, just spent 10 days in this beautiful condo late in January (21-30th). I cannot emphasize enough how absolutely FANTASTIC our stay was. First of all, the place is HUGE! Do not be discouraged by the fact that it is not ski-in/ski-out. There is a very convenient shuttle that comes directly to the front door every half hour and you are at the base in less than 5 minutes (you could actually walk across to Mountain Village if you felt like it). We decided to drive to the slopes; parking is free and was never a problem even on a huge powder day. All of the ski-in/ski-out properties that I have seen are tiny by comparison (not to mention more expensive) and not nearly as nicely appointed as this one. I know you are here to ski .... but you have to admit that it is nice to have a little luxury to come home to after a great day on the slopes. You can't beat this place -- a gorgeous wood-burning fireplace (ample kindling and wood is provided in the condo garage), floor to ceiling windows with views galore, a nice private indoor jacuzzi, private laundry room right down the hall, spacious rooms, a big selection of movies for your viewing pleasure at night ... I could go on and on! Oh, if you're into XC skiing or backcountry adventures - this is your place as well. The Lone Mountain Ranch has the most awesome XC trails and is just a 5 minute drive from the condo. Backcountry ski touring in West Yellowstone is also an option if your into that sort of thing. Well, hopefully I've convinced you to book this place ... if not, well, what can I say ... it would be a loss. Big Sky is amazing - I have been skiing all over the country and western Europe - this is the ONLY place I've seen where you can have the slopes literally all to yourself every day! Steve is an absolutely gracious host and really hooks you up with helpful hints and information about the area. He also takes the care to see that the condo has many extras just to make your stay that much more comfortable. OK -- enough reading -- get cracking on those reservations!!! Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 1998
About the owner: We are from Colorado and Australia. Love the outdoors and especially skiing.
Why the Owner Chose Skycrest:
Having grown up in Colorado, I did not think anyplace could beat skiing in Colorado. One weekend in Big Sky changed my mind, and we were hooked on the area. We then had to decide on a place. Skycrest became our favorite for two reasons 1) its location... close enough, but not too close. We enjoy getting away from the lift area at the end of the day and because we are 1/2 mile away we have the most spectacular views of any place on the mountain; and 2) its spaciousness... 1600 square feet gives you room to breath.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The VIEW... we had a guest who stated that she could just lie in the bed in the master bedroom all day and watch the view. Of course, the private Jacuzzi is one of our favorite things. We use it every day at least once. All the furnishings, kitchen utensils, etc are first rate. We never furnish anything with the attitude 'it is good enough for guests'.
