Let our Kayak cottage become ''your place at the lake''. We encourage you to make use of our cottage and everything located on the resort property. This is not like a traditional cabin at the lake- this cottage comes with 24 hour care. Never feel alone or helpless at the cabin- someone is always close at hand whenever you need it. So have a carefree vacation of splashing in the water at the sandy beach and jumping on the water trampoline, enjoy the TWO Heated Swimming Pools, boat on the 14 lake chain, relax with a book, play tennis or sand volleyball or hang out at the Lodge game room- your kids will never say 'I'm bored' and we're sure you'll have a memorial, safe and fun filled vacation with the ones you love.
The Kayak cottage is nestled in the quiet pines and the property offers over 600 feet of sandy bottom lake frontage on crystal clear Clamshell Lake with easy access to all of the other 13 lakes of the beautiful Whitefish Chain. We adjoin the 18 hole championship Whitefish Golf Club and we have a professional tennis court. We are also conveniently located on the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway adjacent to the Paul Bunyan bike trail.
The cottage is located on a resort property with 11 spacious acres and has kayaks, sand toys, paddle boats, a paddle bike, and a canoe which are FREE to use at our safe, sandy beach. A FREE resort boat is included with motor rental as well a pontoon rentals and dock spaces are convenient for your boat as well Bait sales and a deluxe fish cleaning house are also on the property. There is a full service lodge on the property to take care you and your cottage needs 24 hours a day- with snack bar and game room featuring Ping pong, Air Hockey, Carpetball, supervised kids activities, 2 playground areas, a tennis court, sand volley ball court and basketball court.
When reserving a VRBO home, please don't forget the value of on site management and other amenities. How long will it take to get an item 'fixed' so you can enjoy your vacation? Properties with off site management rely on subcontractors that may result in you 'losing' a day of your vacation.

The lake is over 14,000 acres big and has over 200 miles of shoreline - excellent for boating and lots of structure for fishing. Only seven lakes in Minnesota are deep enough for lake trout and the Whitefish Chain has one of them. The Brainerd area is truly a year round destination with lots of things to do during all the seasons - golf, mini-golf, horseback riding, water parks and much more...
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The unit has many fantastic upgrades that you won't find at your typical lake cottage, plus you have access to all the amenities of the resort the cottage is located on. You also have access to 24 hour guest and cottage care. We will even change a light bulb, rake the beach and clean the fish cleaning house. The grounds are immaculate and docks and water toys are safe. The health department checks the water quality twice a year and the fire marshal checks the fire extinguishers. We have very high standards and want only the best for our guests.
