I can't say enough good about the location of this house, it is perfect. The house it self is average there is everyday wear and tear in it but nothing that should really bother anyone. I would tell just about anyone to rent it out you can't beat the price :) The only down falls I felt was there was nothing in the house to clean with. I found one broom and dust pan and that was it. Also we were left no extra toilet paper and only one extra trash bag. But all in all very happy.... Thanks so much for our stay we had a great time.

The location of this house cannot be beat. It is directly across the street from Siesta Key beach. We loved the location, the house, not so much. The front of the house (living room, kitchen, front bedroom) is great. The back of the house smells of mildew, and we had a headache when we slept in the back bedroom. The main bathroom floor is very squishy - possibly mold underneath it. We were told a laundromat was nearby, the one we were given directions to took almost 20 minutes to get to and was in a horrendous part of town - we didn't even stay to use the dryer, just washed and ran out. The tree in the backyard (the backyard is wonderful) was great for hanging clothes. The management company was very responsive to our need for a new micorwave when the one in there kept shorting out. All in all, it is a beach house. The price was right and location can't be beat, but only 2 bedrooms were usable during our stay. If the mildew is eradicated we would stay here again, although we'd bring enough clothes to last the entire stay so we didn't have to go to that laundromat.

Perfect location, true beach house

Just returned home from a week's stay at this rental.....the photos of the home and the description are exactly as stated.....no better location if you are a true beach dweller AND ALL FOR A THIRD OF THE PRICE of most other 3 bedroom/2 bathroom rentals in that area. If you want something fancy then pay the additional price....if you want something VERY affordable and functional then this is your place. Would have liked to had the option of a washer and dryer but found a laundromat not far and is not a deal breaker for renting this property. Each of the bedrooms have plenty of space and storage area. Kitchen was adequate for our breakfast and lunch meals; could use a few more cooking utensils for other cooking - but on vacation we like to eat our dinners out. Still cannot say enough about the beach location - we will stay here again!!

I wanted a house in Siesta Key that was inexpensive and would take my two dogs where I could go to relax and refresh. This house was perfect! If you are laid back, love the beach house feel and can adapt to life in new places, then this place is for you! It is large and spacious with plenty of room to sleep at least six. I love the light when you walk in the door! The kitchen has been completely redone and is beautiful. The back yard was a plus for my dogs and offers a beautiful setting for grilling and relaxing. The owner is responsive to any questions or concerns. I had a wifi question and he responded (and resolved the issue) to me within the hour of my email. The house is right across from the beach and within a few short blocks to the village where the main drag of restaurants / shops is. I highly recommened this house to anyone who is looking for a place to that is private yet close to everything. I especially like it because it is on Siesta Key but not mired in the wall to wall rentals of Siesta Village where you feel like people are right on top of you. This house definitely has rentals around it but it is separate and you have your own space. I definitely plan on renting this house again later this year or next year. Enjoy a wonderful week in Siesta Key at this beautiful beach home.

Close to Beach, But No "Beach View"

This house is so close to the beach you can walk there in two minutes, and that was wonderful. But the promised "Beach View" is blocked completely by a three story vertical house so there is not even a glimpse of the beach, and that sucked. The rental home is a big rambling house with many rooms. It has a beautiful kitchen but the bathrooms are disgracefully outdated and grubby. Overall, it is perfect for large families with pets. Surfaces are fairly indestructable and there is a small, private fenced yard in back. There is no phone in the unit so be sure your cell is charged up.
Owner response:The house is a beach house. It is not the Ritz Carlton and the price is alot cheaper. Most people love the house. If you want a nice casual beach house that you walk across the street to the beach this is your place ! If you need 5 star amenities and wish to pay $400 plus a night then the Siesta Key laid back live may not be for you. The video and pictures are the actual house. The pictures and video where done with my cell phone. No magic lighting or photography. The appliances are stainless steel and the kitchen counters granite.
Recommended for:Pet owners, families with young children.
