An artisan crafted timber frame home beautifully decorated with solid wood arts and crafts style furnishings and appointed with every possible detail from its handcrafted laurel twig railed staircase, granite counter tops, poplar bark faced cabinets, to it's fine custom stained glass loft opening, you will find yourself transported into a space and time where nature greets you with miles of hiking, wildlife galore, a forty foot waterfall and rushing creek within a short walk and a natural stone fire pit for those evenings of campfire memories and s'mores. Curl up with a book in front of the wood burning fireplace, head into town for an afternoon of fine restaurants and antiquing or have a quiet, romantic dinner on the deck and watch the sun set over the mountains.
For those practical amenities, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, 2 gas grills, satellite television in great room and all bedrooms, Jacuzzi tub and gas fireplace in master suite, all linens and towels. The master suite has a king sized bed and the other two guest suites have queens. Head down to the sunlit basement (currently unfinished) for a rousing game of ping pong or to log in a couple miles on the NorticTrack treadmill.

What a lovely home with spectacular views! We met my brother and sister-in-law for the weekend and couldn't have had more perfect weather! The web pictures do not do this home justice. The attention to detail in the home and furnishings made for a most enjoyable stay. Watching the sunrise change the colors on the mountains as well as the sunsets was most memorable. The home was not that far from downtown Blowing Rock and was convenient to area attractions. We ate at a restaurant in near-by Boone called Cafe Portofino on River Street that had been recommended by a former ASU student. Don't let the appearance fool you! The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. We're looking forward to a trip back to the area soon!
