Stayed four nights with Andrew and Wendy and cannot say enough about the place. What the view don't do for you they will. Bent over to make sure all was cared for, great people in a great place. Cabana was more than enough with a pool to go along with it.

My husband and I had the honour of staying at this beautiful vacation property due to the folks 'Very Hard to Find' cancellation. Thanks to the directions Wendy (the owner) had emailed us, we were able to find the property 'no problem'. All the car rental places that we contacted had NO issues renting us a vehicle to travel to One Fish Two Fish. Punta Blanca is located a short distance off the paved main island road. Yes the road had dirt and a few bumps on it, but the word 'horrible' is an exaggeration to say the least. I guess we follow directions better and accept that we are in a third world county where dirt roads still exist. When we arrived, we were greeted by Wendy's friendly mom Lyn and her pets - dog Jordi and cat Meesha. After showing us our clean, well kept room, Lyn kindly offered to have Hector (the grounds keeper) carry our bags to our room. Of course we weren't paying five star rates and were more than happy to carry our own bags across the lawn down the stone stairway. Once settled in, we walked down the hill through the quaint Punta Blanca community and we felt the warm waters of the Caribbean sea. There is a dock and water access; however, just like the add read, there is no beach. As our room was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook, we drove a mere 5 minutes to Oakridge and purchased groceries (choice of 3 stores) and fresh fruit from the local fruit stand. Upon returning, we met a couple of the friendly neighbours living across the street. We shared a few laughs and then settled in around the beautiful pool with the most spectacular view of the ocean. For supper, we drove a short distance (3-5 min drive) and had a awesome supper at Marble Hill Farm restaurant. Thank you to the couple who wrote the review "Very Hard to Find", because if you wouldn't have cancelled at the last minute, we would never have experienced the beauty and shared many memorable moments at One Fish Two Fish. My husband and I will recommend this vacation spot to all of our friends and family. It is sad that some people who claim to serve God under the umbrella of 'missionaries' can be so rude to good people who tried to give them a beautiful accommodation at a REDUCED rate, only to have them turn around and cancel with no notice AND write a bad review based not on facts- but ignorance and/or arrogance. The Newly Weds!!

This is a great spot for couples who would prefer the less populated, less tourist oriented end of the island. The setting is beautiful and the accomodation clean and comfortable. However it's not for those seeking luxury. It works well for someone wanting to relax and hang out at a place with a small pool and a terrific view or as a base for those wanting to explore the less developed east end of the island. The latter would definitely want to have a high clearance vehicle available (perhaps four-wheel drive)since the roads are dirt, often muddy and have many pot holes. Staying here does not preclude taking advantage of the things offered on the west end of the island it merely puts you further away.

Yes, the view is great. But that is the only good thing to say about this property. The car rental agency would not rent us a car to get there! We had to rent a truck or SUV. When we reached the end of the paved road we found out why! The road to Punta Blanca is horrible! Since they did not give us adequate directions after two requests we had to find the place on our own. After two hours of driving around on the dirt roads we gave up! There were no signs for OneFishTwoFish anywhere. We ended up in Jonesville where an extremely helpful local helped us. He called OneFishTwoFish for us and we got directions. We had driven by the place 3 times! When finally arrived we had to carry our luggage down a slippery path to the bungalow. There was no privacy as there were no blinds on any windows, the owners were not there, there were visitors from the area, and the dog was not very friendly. There is absolutely no access to beaches, no stores nearby to purchase food, and no restaurants anywhere close. Needless to say we did not stay!

Owner response: I am sorry that your experience was not what you expected. I did email you, as an attachment, the directions to your place not once, but twice. No, we are not a beachfront property, nor do we advertise as such. You did not ask how close any of the amenities were before you booked. And you are the first people who were told they couldn't rent a car to get to our place. The restaurants are all a short drive away...less than 10 minutes. My husband and I were not there, you're right, but my mother was. We often have visitors from the neighbourhood.... and our dog is very friendly, just takes a few days to feel secure with new people. I'm guessing you didn't even walk down to the water, nor go to any of the 3 grocery stores in Oakridge, or the restaurants in Oakridge or the 3 we always recommend within a few minutes drive. This is the first negative review we've ever received. Once again, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I'm betting you didn't find a place for anywhere near the significant discount I offered you, given you were missionaries. I sincerely hope you had a great vacation regardless of your experience at our place. Thank you, Wendy

We were the for one week, in February. Photos are really accurate, except the view is MUCH better in real. Since the kitchen is completed, we were able to cook full meals, every day. Also, Wendy's instructions were very clear on how to get there and very helpfull with all the little details needed for food, bank, fuel that makes it easier. For those who wants to get off the beaten path, this is the place to go, in East end. You should really consider this area of the island, totally different from West Area

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Wahoo Cabana (studio style cabana) the 21st through the 28th of August, 2010. The cabana included EVERYTHING that we needed (towels, utensils, cooking supplies, refrigerator, tv, fans, etc.), and we literally did not have to buy a single thing extra once we got there! The pool is absolutely fabulous and has breathtaking views of the bay.... this spot is definitely a diamond in the rough on the Eastern end of the island and was conveniently located just up the street from Marble Hill Farms (local resort) and a small convenience store and gas station... Our hosts were absolutely a delight and made sure that we knew all of the great places to go for diving and local attractions! The view in the morning and evening over the water was absolutely breathtaking! I would absolutely recommend this spot for those travelers who are looking to escape for a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle and to enjoy eachother's company.

This is the perfect place for an adventure, and the owners are extremely welcoming and generous. We felt like we had a personal tour guide and advisor. The view is spectacular and the cabin quaint. The pool only steps from the door is the best way to cool off after a day of activity, and it has the same incredible view as the cabin. The cabin is nicely done and has everything you will need. I recommend this lodging for any traveler who wants to really experience Roatan, to see the raw beauty of the east end of the island, and certainly to those who plan on going fishing. Have Andrew take you snorkeling on your fishing trip! The reef here is comepletely untouched and the most beautiful I have ever seen. Marble Hill Farms is a must visit for dining, and it is very nearby. I also recommend a night swim under the stars. It is unforgettable. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask; the owners are incredibly nice! I do not reccomend this rental to tourist looking for pampering or luxery or who will be miserable without air conditioning. Tips to help you enjoy this area: 4x4 is must (and quite fun) Bugs bite in the evening, take precaution, bring bug repelent sunblock

This is a place you don't want to miss going to. The listing and photo descriptions are very accurate but it would be impossible to describe what awaits you. The property is clean and well maintained. The owners go beyond the call of duty and will assist you with anything. I already have recommended this property to family and friends.

Andrew's passion has always been fishing, and Wendy is an Advanced Practice RN. We love Roatan, the Honduran people, the culture and the laid back lifestyle.

Why the Owner Chose Punta Blanca:
We loved the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of the East End. Punta Blanca is a friendly, neighborly, safe community and we love it here! We rented a house in this location for a year before we chose to purchase property here and build our dream.
