Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2002
Brian is a family man and grandpa and has a passion for fishing. He grew up fishing and boating on Lac La Belle and Lake Superior, and has lived in the Keweenaw most of his life. He will gladly share his passion with you aboard the Fishin Mission, his charter fishing and sightseeing boat or his 19 foot Harbercraft depending on the type of fishing.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Linden
This house setting is so unique, on a quiet lake and my wife and I wish to some day live here when my kids grow up. When the property became available through my in-laws, we just had to figure out a way to keep it in the family, so we decided to help pay for it through renting it out.
The Unique Benefits of this House
You can relax and enjoy the Copper Country weather in the summer or winter. Walleye, pike and bass fishing is good and we have a 14 foot open boat with or without a motor for rent also. Kids will enjoy the hot tub and the lake with the private raft. Enjoy a fire and roast marshmallows, s'mores or hot dogs in the yard on our open fire pit. 4th of July Fireworks in Lake Linden are visible from the deck at the lake. This is a perfect place for a honeymoon also, with the hot tub very private, right off the front deck and surrounded by trees, very much invisible from the neighbors.

Our entire family had a marvelous time staying a week at 8 Mile Lodge. Brian was a great host and very responsive to our questions and needs. The house is located in a wonderfully secluded place, isolated from neighbors by dense trees. The location on the east side of Torch Lake provides a very quiet environment yet it is only a short trip into Lake Linden for great hand dipped ice cream. A fabulous, sandy, public beach on Lake Superior at Big Traverse Bay is only 15 minutes away. We spent a lot of time there and often we had the beach completely to ourselves. Eight mile lodge is very centrally located in the Keweenaw to allow easy access to points of interest in all directions. The house is very comfortable with large windows and three roomy decks with one deck right on the water in front of a small sandy beach. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The large yard between the house and the lake offered a nice fire ring or great star watching. BTW, Brian’s also a great charter fishing Captain. We took advantage of a Lake Trout fishing expedition he offers through Sand Point Charters. We had the best meal that night.
