This is a great location in the center of the Lakes region of New Hampshire. Newfound Lake is great for relaxing at the beach, swimming, snorkeling, boating, and fishing. The house is a 10 minute drive to Wellington State Park which has a public boat launch, public beach area, picnic area, and hiking trails. The area also has golf courses nearby and outlet shopping in Tilton about 20 minutes away. Lake Winnipesaukee, Weirs Beach and the town of Meredith are only 15 minutes away. The Kankamagus Highway and the White mountains are all within an hour drive if you prefer hiking the 4000 footers.
Our house is located overlooking Newfound Lake, one of the cleanest lakes in the country. Guests have access to two beaches in the surrounding area, a Private Associate Beach that is an 8 minute walk down the road. The Bristol Town Beach is also available, a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive.
The house has three bedrooms, One bedroom has a queen bed, the other two bedrooms have twin beds. With the additional convertible sofas in the main floor living room, and the downstairs family room, the house can host up to ten guests comfortably. There are also 3 bathrooms in the house, one on each floor. Outside, two sides of the house have large decks in which to relax and enjoy the views of Ragged Mountain, Mt. Cardigan and Tenney Mountain and the surrounding area. The 3rd floor balcony offers the best views for the July 4th fireworks and views of Newfound Lake. There is also a 3-season porch off the kitchen and side deck. If you wish to enjoy a summer BBQ, there is a new gas grill right on the deck.
Bristol has a number of delicious restaurants just minutes away if you wish to eat out. For even more variety, Plymouth is 20 minutes away and offers more restaurants and shopping.
The house has been in our family for over 35 years, and we have enjoyed many great times here. We would love for you to be our guest and and enjoy the property.

My friends and family have vacationed in NH for close to 30 years. We travel over for Bike week. We have stayed all over the state but have found this area the best. The home is just that. A home. You can feel the warmth of the family who built and own it. When you stay here all you will need is your luggage. Everything else is here. We have stayed here for the past 2 years.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I just returned from a 2 week vacation at this property and I must say it is THE BEST VALUE AT NEWFOUND LAKE. While the property is not a waterfront home the association beach is easily accessible on foot or by car. Everything about the home screams WELCOME HOME. There were eight of us in the party, 4 adults and 4 children aged from 2-6 years. We had a blast. The kids loved the 3 season porch and spent most of their "play time " in that room. I must admit, we never even used the large family room downstairs, but it had everything from cable tv, todvd pplayer, etc. There was even a closet full of games, which I didn't discover until late in out vacation. The washer and dryer as well as the dishwasher were also quite useful to us. I was a bit skeptical about renting a home without knowing the people involved, but had such a pleasurable experience that I would recommend it to anyone. As a matter of fact, we are planning on making this an annual family event. The house was very cozy but there was plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy ourselves. There is a nice view of the lake from the large deck area on the main floor, the deck covers two sides of the house and was a nice place to eat dinner. We used the gas grill often. There is also a small deck off one of the bedrooms on the top floor which also offered a nice view of the lake. The association beach was quite large, and even had toys for the boys to play with. All of the residents we encountered were quite pleasant and genuinely seemed pleased that we were having such a good time. Would also like to say that the home is centrally located to quite a few area attractions. We took the boys to Santa's Village (about 90 minutes away), Clark's Trading Post (50 minutes) and also to Funspot at Weirs Beach (less than 30 minutes away). I had to contact the owner of the home on 2 occasions with questions that I needed to ask and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he returned my calls and how helpful he was.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Why the Owner Chose Newfound Lake:
We've been vacationing in the New Hampshire Lakes Region for almost 40 years. We bought the property and built the house in 1973. Newfound Lake is a great area that is quiet, with family friendly beaches, yet close to shopping, amusements, hiking, and much of New Hampshire's history.
