This is a great condo! Roomy, comfortable, and oh those terrace views!!!!!!! We loved the ease of going back and forth from the pool to the beach. The location of this unit within the Paloma Blanca complex is ideal; the Paloma Blanca complex itself is conveniently located for going into town. We like to walk to town along the beach and take a $2 cab ride back. We had the best time here...and think you will, too.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our third year here and it just keeps getting better. It's a beautiful complex by the beach and this condo is absolutely perfect. It is well stocked and beautifully maintained with many examples of Deb's creative artistry. We love the new interior colors! The location is ideal for a 2.00 taxi ride to town or a leisurely stroll along the beach. If you are adventuresome and energetic there is plenty to find to do and no need to rent a car. We couldn't have asked for better hosts....always willing to offer suggestions and how to do what, when and how. It is a secure complex. Everyone is very friendly and eager to answer questions about the local flora and fauna. Definitely the place to be.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

This was a perfect family vacation! The location of the condo could not have been better - yards to the ocean and walkable on the beach into town! There was lots of active things that everyone could enjoy from ziplining, hiking, ATV-riding, surfing and more. Just relaxing on the beach or the condo balcony was also a great option. Also, pretty much every night there was a beautiful picture-perfect sunset. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed dining at Villa Coletas for Christmas (very fancy but not to be missed, well worth it), local fare and also cooking "at home". The condo kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the super market it town is great, so we cooked at lot at home, including using the gas grill - fresh fish on the grill was delicious! This was the perfect condo to stay in, in a perfect location!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We just returned from "paradise". It was the perfect unit with a swimming pool immediately in front of the Condo and the beach not much further. The kitchen was well equipped and having a washer and dryer in the unit was perfect. The grounds were well manicured and kept clean at all times. It was great having coffee each morning while sitting on the leather rocking chairs, listening to the ocean. Because of the proximity to town, a car is not necessary and do not recommend renting one as it is very expensive because of the insurance required. We highly recommend eating at the "sodas", where the locals eat. The food was delicious and very inexpensive. Bruce was very helpful and provided us with lots of helpful information. We highly recommend staying in this unit and hope to do it again in the near future. Thanks again Bruce for a great vacation. We love your home.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

BEST UNIT IN PALOMA BLANCA

This unit has it all!! Best location in this complex. It is also the best location in Jaco to us, just a few minutes south of the town center close enough but just far enough also!! The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, appliances pot/pans/dishes etc. The living area is very comfortable and you go out the door, and a few steps you are in one of several pools. I love the tile work of the tortoise on the floor along with the fruits on the wall in the kitchen and others around the unit, these give a very comfortable atmosphere, not the feeling that you are just in a rental place, this unit feels like home! The views from the 2nd floor porch can not be described by words but I will say they are spectacular to say the least, I could sit there for hours and hours enjoying the ocean, surfers and the sunsets. We stayed previously at another unit in the back, which was ok but no ocean view to enjoy at every moment like A1, there is no comparison. This unit is much more spacious than the back building also. I will definitely return to La Paloma Blanca A1 and would plan my visit around when this unit is available. It is definitely the best. We had a wonderful time. We would recommend this unit highly, definitely more than the 5 stars!!! Thank you to Bruce and his wife for their hospitality.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We are a family of 5 who stayed at Bruce & Deb's condo for a week over the spring break and will remember our trip for the rest of our lives. Bruce & Deb prepared us for what to expect and went the extra mile to help plan all of our outings. Please read all of the other reviews because I only am going to say one thing that the others didn't mention enough. After all of our outings, whether it was ATVing, Tortuga Isalnd & banana boating, or Zip lining, or just going to the beach, it was good to COME HOME!!! That's what it felt like. The condo is everything you'd want in a home and more. It was paradise. With 3 bathrooms ( & to die for rain showers), no one ever had to wait; meals could be eaten in or outside on either covered space or we could take advantage of the convenience to town with all of it's shopping and marvelous dining establishments. I felt sorry for the people who had to stay at hotels or lesser condos because the spaciousness and amenities at ours (oops, I mean Bruce & Deb's) could not have been beat. The grounds were immaculate, the security helpful & accommodating, the proximity to the beach unsurpassed, the pools wonderful and our stay memorable. It truly was a trip of a lifetime and we will always be grateful for Bruce & Deb allowing us to share their little piece of heaven ( and for one week, our HOME!!).Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

This is a great condo! We had 6 people, 4 adults and 2 older kids. There are 2 BRMs with bath up and downstairs has 2 fold-out couches with a private bath. Full kitchen and a porch upstairs and down. The security is very good and friendly. The beach is beautiful with strong sets of good waves for surfing or boogie boarding. People around the area were very friendly and the condo is beautiful. We bought fish in town and grilled several nights. Town is an easy walk or $2.00 taxi ride. We were there over New Years and the ATMs ran out of money!! FYI. We were able to get money the next day. The trip to Manuel Antonio is very interesting. The hike up Mirror (sp) Mountain near us was beautiful and close by. Birds and vegetation were very beautiful. Highly recommend this place and location.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Just got back to cold New York after 4 perfect nights at your beautiful condo...I shouldn't have left! Everything from the management to the beds, appliances, cable, WiFi, pools, beach, etc. was perfect. We made frozen drinks every night and just hung out on the top porch to watch the sunset. For those thinking of renting in Jaco, I don't think you can do much better than this. It's just far away from the bustling of Jaco to be quiet at night and the beach is not crowded at all during the day. Downtown Jaco is a 3 minute, $2 cab ride away and there's always plenty of cabs.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We had a wonderful week at this property - it was very well equipped and maintained. The owners have beautiful taste, and have made many artistic choices with a beautiful mosaic tile turtle in the middle of the first floor, and lovely artwork throughout the house - although it is a condo, you feel quite private, almost like the pool is your very own! The rest of the units use a bigger pool that is very nice, also. The view of the beach and ocean cannot be beat, the sunsets from the upper deck were just incredible. The location was perfect - away from the hustle of Jaco, but an easy walk to town for ice cream, lunch, shopping, etc. The owners were incredibly helpful, steering us to reliable guides, booking our excursions, and airport pick-up...If you choose to ride, the taxis will be called by the guard at the front gate and arrive very quickly. They are very reasonable. We did the hike up Miro's Mountain and it was fun and scenic, beautifully carved walls going up part of the hike - be sure to take water with you - it gives you a beautiful view of Jaco at 2 overlooks. Also did the strenuous hike up to the waterfall that is about 40 minutes from Jaco, we rented cars that day. Also recommend the all day excursion by boat to Tortuga Island, you are picked up at your door, driven to the beach, 2 hour boat ride to Tortugo, 45 minutes of snorkelin, if you wish, otherwise you are taken right to the coral beach. A lovely lunch is served, then you can choose to rent horses, take a guided hike for minimal $, rent jet skis, get towed on a banana boat or sun yourself on the beach/stay in the shade. The ride back was rougher but exhilerating. Cannot recommend this unit more highly.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here for two weeks for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it. The rental was perfect. The ocean front view was spectacular and the swimming pools were great for either relaxing and cooling off or swimming laps. The location was prime because you could walk to Jaco for groceries or go out to eat. The listing photos were right on cue which is really important because we noticed that alot of rentals were nothing like the photos. I would definately reommend this to anyone I know. We didn't want to leave!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: Debbie and I love our condo in paradise. We go to Jaco 6 times a year. We have taken numerous friends and family and they all have said 'you can't describe it, you must go and experience this place'.
Why the Owner Chose Jaco:
We went to explore this area and bought our condo 3 days into our trip because of its uniqueness. The view sold us. The town is safe and the people are very friendly.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Sitting in the leather rocking chairs in the morning with my coffee, looking at the ocean, Macaws, dolphin's, sometimes whales and birds is priceless. This is so relaxing to me.
