This is a great condo! Roomy, comfortable, and oh those terrace views!!!!!!! We loved the ease of going back and forth from the pool to the beach. The location of this unit within the Paloma Blanca complex is ideal; the Paloma Blanca complex itself is conveniently located for going into town. We like to walk to town along the beach and take a $2 cab ride back. We had the best time here...and think you will, too.

Our third year here and it just keeps getting better. It's a beautiful complex by the beach and this condo is absolutely perfect. It is well stocked and beautifully maintained with many examples of Deb's creative artistry. We love the new interior colors! The location is ideal for a 2.00 taxi ride to town or a leisurely stroll along the beach. If you are adventuresome and energetic there is plenty to find to do and no need to rent a car. We couldn't have asked for better hosts....always willing to offer suggestions and how to do what, when and how. It is a secure complex. Everyone is very friendly and eager to answer questions about the local flora and fauna. Definitely the place to be.

This was a perfect family vacation! The location of the condo could not have been better - yards to the ocean and walkable on the beach into town! There was lots of active things that everyone could enjoy from ziplining, hiking, ATV-riding, surfing and more. Just relaxing on the beach or the condo balcony was also a great option. Also, pretty much every night there was a beautiful picture-perfect sunset. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed dining at Villa Coletas for Christmas (very fancy but not to be missed, well worth it), local fare and also cooking "at home". The condo kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the super market it town is great, so we cooked at lot at home, including using the gas grill - fresh fish on the grill was delicious! This was the perfect condo to stay in, in a perfect location!

We just returned from "paradise". It was the perfect unit with a swimming pool immediately in front of the Condo and the beach not much further. The kitchen was well equipped and having a washer and dryer in the unit was perfect. The grounds were well manicured and kept clean at all times. It was great having coffee each morning while sitting on the leather rocking chairs, listening to the ocean. Because of the proximity to town, a car is not necessary and do not recommend renting one as it is very expensive because of the insurance required. We highly recommend eating at the "sodas", where the locals eat. The food was delicious and very inexpensive. Bruce was very helpful and provided us with lots of helpful information. We highly recommend staying in this unit and hope to do it again in the near future. Thanks again Bruce for a great vacation. We love your home.

This unit has it all!! Best location in this complex. It is also the best location in Jaco to us, just a few minutes south of the town center close enough but just far enough also!! The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, appliances pot/pans/dishes etc. The living area is very comfortable and you go out the door, and a few steps you are in one of several pools. I love the tile work of the tortoise on the floor along with the fruits on the wall in the kitchen and others around the unit, these give a very comfortable atmosphere, not the feeling that you are just in a rental place, this unit feels like home! The views from the 2nd floor porch can not be described by words but I will say they are spectacular to say the least, I could sit there for hours and hours enjoying the ocean, surfers and the sunsets. We stayed previously at another unit in the back, which was ok but no ocean view to enjoy at every moment like A1, there is no comparison. This unit is much more spacious than the back building also. I will definitely return to La Paloma Blanca A1 and would plan my visit around when this unit is available. It is definitely the best. We had a wonderful time. We would recommend this unit highly, definitely more than the 5 stars!!! Thank you to Bruce and his wife for their hospitality.

We are a family of 5 who stayed at Bruce & Deb's condo for a week over the spring break and will remember our trip for the rest of our lives. Bruce & Deb prepared us for what to expect and went the extra mile to help plan all of our outings. Please read all of the other reviews because I only am going to say one thing that the others didn't mention enough. After all of our outings, whether it was ATVing, Tortuga Isalnd & banana boating, or Zip lining, or just going to the beach, it was good to COME HOME!!! That's what it felt like. The condo is everything you'd want in a home and more. It was paradise. With 3 bathrooms ( & to die for rain showers), no one ever had to wait; meals could be eaten in or outside on either covered space or we could take advantage of the convenience to town with all of it's shopping and marvelous dining establishments. I felt sorry for the people who had to stay at hotels or lesser condos because the spaciousness and amenities at ours (oops, I mean Bruce & Deb's) could not have been beat. The grounds were immaculate, the security helpful & accommodating, the proximity to the beach unsurpassed, the pools wonderful and our stay memorable. It truly was a trip of a lifetime and we will always be grateful for Bruce & Deb allowing us to share their little piece of heaven ( and for one week, our HOME!!).

This is a great condo! We had 6 people, 4 adults and 2 older kids. There are 2 BRMs with bath up and downstairs has 2 fold-out couches with a private bath. Full kitchen and a porch upstairs and down. The security is very good and friendly. The beach is beautiful with strong sets of good waves for surfing or boogie boarding. People around the area were very friendly and the condo is beautiful. We bought fish in town and grilled several nights. Town is an easy walk or $2.00 taxi ride. We were there over New Years and the ATMs ran out of money!! FYI. We were able to get money the next day. The trip to Manuel Antonio is very interesting. The hike up Mirror (sp) Mountain near us was beautiful and close by. Birds and vegetation were very beautiful. Highly recommend this place and location.

Just got back to cold New York after 4 perfect nights at your beautiful condo...I shouldn't have left! Everything from the management to the beds, appliances, cable, WiFi, pools, beach, etc. was perfect. We made frozen drinks every night and just hung out on the top porch to watch the sunset. For those thinking of renting in Jaco, I don't think you can do much better than this. It's just far away from the bustling of Jaco to be quiet at night and the beach is not crowded at all during the day. Downtown Jaco is a 3 minute, $2 cab ride away and there's always plenty of cabs.

We had a wonderful week at this property - it was very well equipped and maintained. The owners have beautiful taste, and have made many artistic choices with a beautiful mosaic tile turtle in the middle of the first floor, and lovely artwork throughout the house - although it is a condo, you feel quite private, almost like the pool is your very own! The rest of the units use a bigger pool that is very nice, also. The view of the beach and ocean cannot be beat, the sunsets from the upper deck were just incredible. The location was perfect - away from the hustle of Jaco, but an easy walk to town for ice cream, lunch, shopping, etc. The owners were incredibly helpful, steering us to reliable guides, booking our excursions, and airport pick-up...If you choose to ride, the taxis will be called by the guard at the front gate and arrive very quickly. They are very reasonable. We did the hike up Miro's Mountain and it was fun and scenic, beautifully carved walls going up part of the hike - be sure to take water with you - it gives you a beautiful view of Jaco at 2 overlooks. Also did the strenuous hike up to the waterfall that is about 40 minutes from Jaco, we rented cars that day. Also recommend the all day excursion by boat to Tortuga Island, you are picked up at your door, driven to the beach, 2 hour boat ride to Tortugo, 45 minutes of snorkelin, if you wish, otherwise you are taken right to the coral beach. A lovely lunch is served, then you can choose to rent horses, take a guided hike for minimal $, rent jet skis, get towed on a banana boat or sun yourself on the beach/stay in the shade. The ride back was rougher but exhilerating. Cannot recommend this unit more highly.

We stayed here for two weeks for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it. The rental was perfect. The ocean front view was spectacular and the swimming pools were great for either relaxing and cooling off or swimming laps. The location was prime because you could walk to Jaco for groceries or go out to eat. The listing photos were right on cue which is really important because we noticed that alot of rentals were nothing like the photos. I would definately reommend this to anyone I know. We didn't want to leave!!!

Our family enjoyed the condo. The listing and photos accurately depict the condo. The property is clean and has the basics. We liked having a washer and dryer as that allowed us to pack less for our vacation. The wi-fi was very much appreciated. The second floor balcony view was great and the table and chairs made for nice game time or just rocking and talking. This is a surf beach. The waves were fascinating to watch and the sound was soothing throughout the day. We walked the beach many mornings and evenings. Bruce answered many questions before our arrival and that was truly appreciated. Additionally, he gave us tips on activities and contacts for our time in Jaco. The kitchen has the basics. The Friday Farmers' Market is within walking distance. The supermarket is a 20 minute walk (and even shorter taxi ride) away. There are many little shops and diners as well as restaurants along the main road in Jaco that are a quick taxi ride from the condo. Security in this gated community was very good.

What a wonderful week! We couldn't have asked for better. Bruce and Debbie are the "host and hostess" with the "mostest". The condo itself is very nicely decorated with many personal touches. It was clean and cheery. Its location on the beach and its proximity to town and many other venues was perfect. Bruce provided many tips on where to eat and what to do, including the name of a driver who gave us prompt and charming service. Be sure to ask about Geo. Although we were not as adventuresome as Bruce and Debbie we did hike Miro mountain and through Carrara Park. We enjoyed meals as Pibes Pizza, El Tigre, Wahoo and Seaside Diner. We liked the Seaside so much we went twice. We can't wait to return.

Bruce and Debbie's 'home away from home' was everything and then some. The unit was spacious, well-equipped, clean and airy. It was the perfect get away ~ you could hear the surf from every spot and view the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets at every angle. Everything was so convenient to town (groceries, restaurants, bank, and THE best coconut gelato) - just a short walk along the beach. Ana, at the front desk, was super informative and helpful. They also have two longboards on site for only $10/day. To be able to surf twice a day and check the waves from the balcony ~ doesn't get better than that! Not to mention, doing absolutely nothing at all at one of the three pools but read a book - biggest challenge was figuring out what delicious meal to grill poolside after sunset!

My wife and two teenagers recently spent 10 days in this condo. We all agree that this was our best vacation ever. As others have mentioned, the view from the balcony is amazing. The pool that is two steps from the porch is one of the lesser used pools in the complex. In essence it was our "private" pool for most of our stay. The beach is about 50 steps from the condo which made it incredibly convenient to come and go whenever we felt like it. The beach is kid friendly with a very gradual slope into the ocean, yet had consistent 4-6 foot waves that were perfect for body surfing, boogie boards and surfing. This two level condo provided everything we needed. The full kitchen allowed us to cook many meals instead of going out all the time. You can even reserve the resort's gas grill and dining area for a nice cookout. The resort complex's staff were very friendly and responsive to our needs. Downtown Jaco is close enough to walk to but we were lazy and often took a cab (less than $2 US each way). The town offered plenty of shopping, restaurants and site seeing activities. We went zip lining, rode ATVs and went on a hikes and would do them all again. When we weren't doing activities we were at the beach, laying out at the pool or reading on the balcony. We all enjoyed the wireless internet access to stay in touch with the world and show off each day's amazing photos of Costa Rica. I usually feel like I need a vacation to recover from my vacation. This was the first vacation that I came home feeling completely relaxed. A return trip to Costa Rica and this condo is definitely in our future. I would highly recommend this unit for your stay.

In the spring of '09 my husband and I stayed at this beautiful residence in Jaco, Costa Rica. The weather was great every day as we enjoyed swimming, zip lining, hiking, biking and an overnight trip to Arenal volcano. Eating healthy was another benefit with all the fresh vegetables and seafood purchased from the local markets. We had the best sushi ever in one of the many local restaurants. That was a real surprise. The most enjoyable events were having breakfast and dinner from the balcony that overlooked the ocean. Beautiful pacific sunsets and swimming under the stars. It can't get any better than this! Thank You

A perfect retreat for lovers of sun, mountains, friendly people, great food and outside activities ! A beautiful home on the beach with lots of personality and plenty of room. One couldn't ask for a more perfect vacation home or a more perfect vacation town. Third world charm with first class stores, restaurants and people. You can lounge all day on one of the many large porches...hang out at one of 3 beautiful pools... or hit the beach for perfect walks, bosysurfing, or board surfing.Turn away from the beach and hike on one of many well marked trails on the surrounding mountains. Then sit back and watch the most beautiful sunset you will ever behold every evening. Get up the next morning and do it all over again ... You will come home RELAXED !!!

This is a really beautiful 2 bedroom unit with amazing ocean views and just steps from the beach. I have stayed in Bruce and Debbie's unit several times over the past 3 years and have to say the accommodations and location are ideal. Jaco is a great town with excellent food and very friendly people. Recreational opportunities abound- motorcycling, 4 wheeling, zip lining, surfing, etc. the list goes on. I highly recommend the town of Jaco and particularly this special unit right on the beach.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely condo in September 2009. Not only was it one of the most picturesque settings but also a perfect location for all activities. We found this unit to be fully equipped for all our vacation needs and felt quite at home in our bedroom overlooking the ocean. This condo is very convenient to great hiking trails where we were lucky enough to encounter monkeys and toucans. We also found the walk into town extremely accessible either by way of the road or the beach. Cabs were easy to be found (and inexpensive) in town once loaded up with our supplies as well as souvenirs. If you are in the mood to experience CR local restaurants, there are some flavorful choices within walking distance of this condo. The biggest decision of the day was which pool to swim in, so we’d pick all three. You won’t be disappointed if you choose this unit.
