unit was super clean and nicely appointed with a great view as pictured in ad. if anything it is larger than it seemed with a full sized kitchen. about .7 miles from needle and half that to the supermarket. get a discount card at no cost to save money. the last 100 yards up fifth ave. to the unit is quite steep if you are not in shape.

We had a nice time doing sightseeing and resting in the Terrace view apartment. The Seattle views were great. The apartment was comfortable for a family with two kids.Based on the other reviewers experience,We did ask for and use the queen airbed for the kids. They loved it much more than the sleeper sofa.Parking in front of the building is on a steep incline. It used to get full during the evening time, however we did manage to park on the other side streets.Kids enjoyed the visit to Pacific Center (a 10 min walk)We used the monorail to go to Pike Place and other downtown attractions.Overall it was a pleasant experience and would recommend for families.

The apartment was very nice, clean, and well maintained. Our stay was great and the apartment was in good proximity to a number of local bars and late night restaurants which were within walking distance. We did not rent a car and we were able to get around with ease via walking and the seattle metro system. The kitchen was fully stocked including a bottle opener/corkscrew which we were shocked to find. The only bad points of the stay were 1) the neighbor's cat (which kept running into the apartment as we exited/entered) and 2) the upstairs neighbor who seemed to be moving furniture at all hours (day and night). Nonetheless, the overall experience was great, even considering the nuisance cat and noisy neighbor. We also received our full deposit back, which was also great.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: This is the first we have heard of any neighbor's cat trying to get into the apartment. This guest stayed 2 months ago and we haven't had anyone mention any cats since. A dozen guests have stayed since this guest and no one else has had any issues with upstairs neighbor being noisy. If there are ever ANY issues during a stay, we ask that guests contact us immediately so we can remedy the situation right away.

We were excited to make our first trip to Seattle, but didn't know what to expect when we got there. As we approached the building (you can see it up the hill from several blocks away), dragging our luggage behind us, we become a little concerned. That is one steep hill for the last two blocks. As we breathlessly opened the door to the unit, we realized our vacation had officially begun. The unit was decorated wonderfully with the earth tones, leaf patterns, leather couch and chair, and the wood and glass tables. Just like in the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, bowls etc. and they matched the other decor. The tv worked fine as did the wi-fi. The entire unit was spotless including the bathroom. The view of Downtown Seattle and Seattle Center was unforgettable and the balcony was a bonus. The location was perfect, high enough for the spectacular view, yet low enough on the hill you could still walk down or catch the #3 or #4 bus( 1 block east on Taylor and Prospect) to the restaurants, grocery store, Seattle Center etc. We had no issues with noisy neighbors. Our only issue was the bed was a bit lumpy and not as comfortable as it might have been at one point, but was ok for our 5 nights. Debra was very professional and responded very quickly to my questions. Our first trip to Seattle was memorable for many things including our stay at Terrace View and that amazing view!

Situated on a hillside with a view of downtown this unit is well appointed with a pleasing decorator palette, clean, working wifi. The location was 5-8 minute walk to monorail and Seattle center. Parking is available on streets in the neighborhood. We felt very safe at all hours and pleased to be in a quiet area. Great little coffee bar a block away and restaurants like Crow nearby also. 24 hr deluxe supermarket also near by... We walked most places, or took a cab. And rented a car to go further afiled. I highly recommend this location!

With a grudging heart I write this review, as I wish we could keep this place a secret! The minute you walk in the front door and see the spectacular view of the Seattle Center and the Seattle city skyline off the south-facing deck, you'll know you made the right decision to book this unit. We stayed in #14 and would certainly request this unit again. It is just the right size for a couple. Everything was very clean and well stocked. The little coffee shop at the bottom of the hill is great for an AM coffee and pastry. We rented the basement garage for an extra fee and that turned out to be a very good thing as the parking in this area is at a premium. The manager was wonderful to work with; no problems whatsoever! So, even though this apartment gets an A+ in our book, we hope you will refrain from renting it so it will always be available when we travel to Seattle!

I specifically rented this apartment for the view, but was surprised that it was much better than I expected. I was also very happy at how clean everything was. The remodel was very well done. Everything was very nice and CLEAN! The only real issue we had was the sofa bed. As a couch, it is fine. But the bed portion NOT GOOD.. My kids have slept on many a sofa bed, and none of them are very comfortable but this one was particularly bad. So I would say, use the blow up mattress that is in the hall closet and consider kids may be ok with sleeping on a blowup but maybe only some adults. The apartment is older on the outside but no big deal once you get inside because it is nicely remodeld with tasteful furnishings. Also consider that this is an apartment with someone above you so if you are a light sleeper you may be bothered by the footsteps above you when you arent ready to wake up yet. Otherwise, it is a great apartment and view. Also, this was the best experience I've had with quick communication responses and detailed e-mails that I've received from all my VRBO rental experiences. Thanks Debra!

We originally intended to stay here for five days at the start of an eleven day Seattle holiday - we left after the first night. The neighbor upstairs was up until 1:00AM stomping and dropping things and then once again at around 6:00AM - apparently getting ready for work - who knows...It just created a very negative impression and atmosphere for us and we checked into our second place earlier than we had planned. The place is very clean, modern and looks just as advertised; it has all the amenities for cooking, etc. The beds (especially the sofa bed with a flimsy mattress) are not very comfortable though and the toilet backed up twice in just the 24 hours we were there - all of this led to the decision to vacate. What I will say is that the property manager, Debra, was understanding of our situation and while not a full refund (we were out about 300 total), we did get a large portion refunded quickly. There may be better choices in the building (there are three or four rentals I believe) but I would not recommend this particular unit because of the noise and other issues detailed in this review. This experience, coupled with another poor experience with VRBO (separate place and owner) has kind of soured us on VRBO.

Owner response: This is the first we have heard of the loud neighbor upstairs. The neighbor that a couple guests referred to earlier has since moved out. More recent guests (and those immediately before) have not had a problem. Sounds like sofa bed isn't as good of an option as the queen air bed that we provide in the unit. We have a wonderful pillow top mattress in the bedroom that most guests love (and no one has complained of). Also, NEVER hear anything from any guests about plumbing issues. We have people on staff who can help with those issues quickly if needed, however. We have so many positive reviews and satisfied guests (before and after this guest). This, coupled with the fact that this guest had another bad VRBO experience with someone else, may confirm that VRBO isn't for him. Please contact us with any questions or concerns! Thanks, Debra

Unit was clean and all appliances functioned as advertised. Unit was well appointed and, apparently, recently updated. Wifi was available and functioned well. The absence of HD television was somewhat surprising. I would not recommend renting this unit without an upfront parking arrangement. Available free parking is very limited. This is a generic issue for the Queen Anne area. An in-unit washer/dryer would have been a real plus and is are recommended addition.

We truly LOVED the view from the apartment. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the nightly stomping from the gentleman that lives above. We also felt the unit is very small, the couch was very uncomfortable, the TV had limited channel choices with frequent problems with reception, the bedroom window treatments were not sufficient to block the outside nightly lighting (we had to hang a sheet to block the light) and the window that is actually in the shower was very unsettling during every shower. We understand that much of this is out of your control and the view reminded us why we choose this location. We did enjoy our walks around Seattle, LOVED our dinners at the Crow (2 blocks from the unit) and are happy that we experienced much of downtown Seattle.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Owner response: We are so sorry this guest did not have a 5-star experience at Terrace View. Had she only told us during her stay that the neighbors above were a little loud, we could have simply asked them to be quiet - problem solved. The TV reception is usually perfect and we get plenty of stations (not pay channels). Again, had they contacted us during the stay, we would have taken care of any issue w/ the cable company immediately. Rest assured, NO ONE can see into the shower. And no other guests have complained about the couch either. Please contact us w/ any questions and please read our other 20+ reviews to make your decision. We always strive to make all our guests' stays perfect.

My husband and I just returned from celebrating our 10th anniversary in Seattle. We had a fabulous time and loved this property. The location is near to so many things: restaurants, Lake Union, City Center (and the monorail into downtown). Debra on the Picture Properties staff was most helpful. The condo is well represented in the pictures and met my high standards for accommodations. Please note the hills in the Queen Anne area are not for the feint of heart. I think I have come home in better shape than I left. If you are able to walk the hills, the payoff of an amazing view makes it all worthwhile.

The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures and included everything you would need to make yourself comfortable - including a very well stocked kitchen. This is a great neighborhood with some really good restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed happy hour at Crow; breakfast at Citizen just a few blocks away. And one ambitious morning walked to the Five Spot for breakfast and over to Kerry Park for fantastic views. Note that this is only about 5 blocks to the monorail - but has a steep hill. Debra was easy to work with and we would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights to celebrate her birthday. The condo was very comfortable and in a great location to experience the excitement of a city stay. Close to restaurants and attractions and the convenience of onsite parking, although those with large SUV's may find the parking cramped. Condo is on a steep slope which provides a great view but is a challenge if walking is a problem. We would certainly consider staying here again for a visit to Seattle. It is a wonderful alternative to an expensive hotel room. Sitting on your balcony, sipping a glass of wine while gazing at the Space Needle and watching the seaplanes come in to land is a special treat!

This was our first visit to Seattle (family of 3) and didn't know what to expect. I had read all the reviews prior to staying here and I must say they are all very much true. The apartment was very clean, plenty of towels and well appointed. Although it was a little smaller in person than I thought it would be. I couldn't see more than three people staying there "comfortably". The main attraction to this place is the balcony! We were fortunate enough to be there when the sky was bright and clear. The views at dusk over the city are unreal. Debra was great to work with. Answered all questions and was helpful through the entire prcoess. She even arranged for a new blowup mattress to be delivered ahead of time for my little girl..Thank you! The only downside was the traffic and the parking. Its horrible (to be honest). 4 of the 6 nights we stayed there there was absolutely nowhere to park with in 2-3 blocks. It made for unloading suitcases and groceries for the week a little difficult. Seattle has great public transportation and makes getting around much easier than driving. If you're going to remain in the downtown area avoid a car.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: This guest was there for the 4th of July (and we are glad they had a nice stay). Yes, the parking and traffic pretty much everywhere in Seattle is probably the worst of the summer this weekend. Labor Day weekend would also be tough since that is the Bumbershoot festival at nearby Seattle Center. It is usually not that bad and parking can typically be found within a block. Or, we offer a garage right in the building for $15/nt (which was available for this guest - wish he would have asked for it!). We just want potential guests to know that it is not like that every day of the year!

My 2 girlfriends and I just returned from Seattle where we had our annual Girls' Trip for 4 days. This is our first time at this condo, although we head to Seattle annually. I would say we have found our perfect location and will be booking this condo again next year for sure! What a great condo with all amenities in a lovely neighbourhood and within walking distance to downtown. We loved the Queen Anne area and found tennis courts, great places to run, coffee shops, Trader Joe's (LOVE Trader Joe's!), etc. The view from the balcony was fabulous and we sat out enjoying the lovely weather and the view many times. We walked to and from downtown a couple of times as well. Communication with the property manager was prompt, courteous, helpful and friendly. Thank you so much, we'll see you next year!

We searched extensively on VRBO before we decided on this apartment. Debra at Picture Properties was great to deal with and answered all our questions about the property. When we got there, it was just as depicted in the photographs and the view was great. The apartment was very clean. We were able to walk most anywhere from the apartment. There is a great coffee chop with wonderful pastries down the street. The Space Needle and Children's Museum are easily walkable. And there is a great Mexican restaurant, Loredos, down the street a couple blocks and around the corner. Debra provided a pak n play and a booster for out 1 and a half year which was very convenient. The apartment had what we needed for our stay.

My wife and I rented this wonderful little apartment for a week in October. We found it to be perfect for our needs. It was furnished with everything needed for our son, who is a chef, to make us a Salmon dinner, which ate while looking out the back patio window at a stunning view of Seattle. We were able to walk conveniently to the monorail to get downtown, but cabs are plentiful and, after a day of city-hiking, helpful for getting up the little but significant hill leading to the apartment. We will always rent this apartment when visiting Queen Anne/Downtown Seattle. Thank you Debra and PPVRM!

It's just a short walk to the QFC for snacks and to Seattle Center to catch the monorail to all the fantastic shopping downtown. We are a family of 3, including an infant, and this was the perfect spot for us. A pack n' play and booster seat were provided in the unit by request so we didn't have to lug those items with us. I was in Seattle for 10 days and stayed two different places: The first place was disappointing and was a huge let-down, but this property was absolutely everything I was looking for. Modern furnitire/appliances, amazing view and proximity to downtown, and exceptionally clean. Given the price, this has to be the best value in the city. Also, the owners/managers were a pleasure to deal with and were very attentive. Whenever I return to Seattle, this will be my first choice of lodging.

This is a great place for 1-2 people to stay in Seattle. The location, at the base of Queen Anne Hill, is close to the Seattle Center, clusters of restaurants in multiple directions, and bus lines to downtown and beyond. There is a phenomenal view due South towards the Space Needle from the small deck. The apartment is small and in a unremarkable building, but is extremely comfortable due to the care put into furnishings. It is very well maintained and thoughtfully appointed with all the necessities. For great food & drink, try Crow just a few blocks down 5th and the coffee shop a few doors down. There is also a grocery store (QFC) just 3-4 blocks south.

It's a perfect place for two...but four would be do-able. The condo was beautifully decorated and clean upon arrival. The Citizen restaurant just down the hill was incredible; two grocery stores just a couple blocks away, coffee spots around every corner....even a nice walk to Pike Place is quite do-able. Thanks for your prompt replies to my questions through this process and look forward to working with you again in the future

The four of us stayed at this condo for two nights. We had just enough space as we wanted to spend most of our time outside, exploring the city. The condo itself is really really nice, everything is new, super clean and very tastefully decorated. It's fully equipped...I was particularly impressed with the kitchen - even the rack with spices was there:) The view from the balcony is wonderful, especially at night. Short walk to Seattle Centre and relaxing stroll around beautiful Queen Anne neighbourhood.. At this price, we'll come again:)

Very nice place with great view of the city. A little on the small side but plenty for a couple and has all the amenities. Great location - easy walk to Space Needle or up the hill for even better view. We found close parking even at night.

Wow is all I can say about this Condo...the view is incredible, and in nice weather the deck is a real plus for morning coffee and evening wine. This Condo is prettier than the picture and was a lovey place...nicer than a hotel for sure. Comfortable for two, for three it was a squeeze but we loved it anyway. Walk to the Space Needle and Monorail to downtown...great location. Garage is really nice but ONLY if you have a smaller car. Street parking is free but get it early!! Thanks again we WILL tell everyone about this place. :)
