Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arrived on 1 Jan and spent all of Jan, Feb, and Mar at Paso Highlands. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Paso Robles and at Paso Highlands. Had a bit of trouble in keeping the neighbors dogs from using the property front area as their bathroom. They apparently didn't have a leash for either of their two dogs. They just opened the door and let them run. After I knocked on their door and handed them a bag of dog **** they did try a bit harder but never did buy a leash. While I did like Paso Highlands it could use an interior decorator to make it a bit homier. If the property adjacent to the first floor deck ever gets occupied then I think there would need to be some window coverings on the east to keep from being in the fish bowl at night. The kitchen faucet needs replacing as it was difficult to turn on and switch from sink to sink. It took too long for hot water to get to the master bath room. We always had to turn on the tub/shower to speed up the time to get hot water in the sinks. Unfortunately much hot water was wasted since the pipes were apparently not insulated. The garage was one big spider web when we arrived. I spent a half day cleaning and organizing the garage upon arrival. Being there for three months we quickly found it easier to back into the garage and ultimately drive out forward when leaving. We moved a couple of the guest bedroom lamps up to the living area to provide better lighting in the evening while reading or watching TV. Because there was no window coverings on the east sometimes made morning TV watching a bit challenging. Shorter term guests would likely be less concerned about some of these issues. Overall we had a great time there and highly recommend it.

We stayed for our daughters 40th birthday. The home had everything anyone could need. Very clean and comfortable. The view was wonderful including the stars at night. Deer wandered through often. We arrived early and Kathy met us at the property and let us enter early. We also had a little problem with a bed and made a call at 9 in the evening and it was taken care of immediately. Would stay here again!

Reviewer Comments: Our family of six celebrated our parents' birthdays (70 and 66) with a weekend getaway to Paso Robles for wine tasting, relaxation, and quality time together. Our stay at Paso Highlands was one of the highlights of our trip - the property offered everything we needed, including views of the rolling hills, a gas bbq grill on the deck, and a comfortable floor plan with living area upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. We enjoyed observing the family of deer that live near the property too. My only complaint was how thin the walls were, particularly between the two floors. From the bedrooms downstairs you could hear every step and movement taking place upstairs. However, we wouldn't hesitate to return to Paso Highlands in the future and I will recommend this property management company to all my friends who frequent this part of California's wine country.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great rental home, primarily a very good experience. Home has a great layout...kitchen and living room upstairs and bedrooms down (makes it easy to read or relax if you want to hang out alone). The deck(s) have a great view (we saw tons of deer and birds) and the home couldn't be more private and still be so close to downtown Paso Robles. We had two issues with the property and the Management company took care of them immediately. The only negatives were that the home has all hardwood floors and there were very few carpets so the home is very bright acoustically/echo-y. Also, there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper per restroom, which became an issue on the final day/night of our stay. Overall I would defintely recommend Paso Highlands as a vacation rental.

Great views. This house has a wonderful open floor plan which is really nice for socializing and gathering. The property is also walking distance to downtown, if you don't mind walking a little bit. This was my second stay!

It is clean and updated while still feeling like a home rather than a typical vacation rental. Oh, and the view is spectacular! I would definitely stay here again and recommend the place to my family and friends.

New and nicely furnished, it's kitchen is well equipped for dining in which we did one night. Located in the foothills, we enjoyed the daily visit by a family of deer and flock of wild turkeys. We would definitely rent this property again!

There was plenty of cookwear so we could make almost anything we thought of. The only thing that we had a hard time figuring out is what channels the dvd was hooked to so maybe a guide on hpw to work the tv. lables on what remote works what. Also minus the fair that everyone was talking about we didnt know what else was going on there. I dont know if there is some type of calander you can set out of whats going on. (farmers markets, and other local events) Our stay was amazing and we loved the house.

Although leery, we went ahead and booked the house. When we arrived, what a pleasant surprise. The house had amazing views, was clean and everything (except tp and paper towels) was provided. Spent a day wine tasting in the area and then went downtown to Artisan for a delicious dinner. I would stay there again.

Paso Highlands was a wonderful location to gather friends and family. It's close to town and oh so peaceful with deer in the backyard and a wonderful balcony to enjoy the view.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this property for the Thanksgiving Holiday and were so very please with the house! The cost was very affordable. It was the perfect place for 6 people (we were 3 couples). The upstairs kitchen, living and dining room were gorgeous! I was impressed how well stocked the kitchen was - lots of cooking utensils and glass "tupperware". The views were stunning. We saw deer outside our windows everyday! There is a great hill to hike off the back side of the house (and if you want a real exercise challenge, try running or biking the hill up to the house, whew!). Also, the location is very central - a short bike ride, walk or (2 minute) drive to downtown and Scolari's (the local grocery). The beds were a little soft but other than that -- an awesome place! We definitely want to stay again. (this is the second place we've rented from Paso Robles Vacation Rentals and have been very pleased with both properties. They are great group to rent from.)

The home was perfect for the 6 of us. The views are spectacular. The kitchen was excellent for cooking our own meals. The proximity to downtown and the wineries is great. And you can't beat having deer outside your window every morning.
