  Stayed at this house in April and tried to book again in September but it was already reserved. This is a beautiful house. Our family included 6 adults, 2 babies and a small dog. I loved the sunken living room very cozy. We rented the entire house including the apartment downstairs. The main house has three bedrooms but one is a loft style bedroom. It is not completely enclosed. The downstairs unit has another bedroom, small kitchen, living room and bathroom. I don't think I would want to rent the house if another somone else was staying in the downstairs unit. This would mean sharing the yard and hottub. There is a walkway behind the house that leads to the beach. Did not need to contact the owners as everything was perfect. I would love to stay here again.

  We had come for a family wedding. I was raised in Oxnard and haven't been back in 20 years. Wow has it grown and turned into a tourist destination....good for Oxnard. The house was spacious and clean. My one year old daughter really enjoyed all the windows. Stood there for hours saying HI to all that walked by..... Mandalay's own welcoming person. I recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to stay.

  My siblings and I were planning a trip visit our Grandmother and Aunt in Ventura and decided to rent a home to save money and to have bonding time. We were each bringing our significant other, as well as one four-legged friend. Even though this home was a little farther than we had originally wanted, we knew the size and location would fit our needs. The owner had very good communication throughout the process. When we arrived we really appreciated the size and space and all the balconies. The jacuzzi was a hit each night and much appreciated. The walk through the breezeway was very beautiful as all the flowers were in bloom. And, indeed a few minutes later, you were at the beach. There were a couple little stores in walking distance which was nice. I believe on Sunday we made a trip out to the local farmer's market and got lots of yummy veggies and fruits. Upon preparing a meal we learned that the food processor was no longer working. A quick text to the owners in the evening and a new one was on our doorstep in the morning. I really appreciated how much they appreciated us. I do recommend this home for families and gatherings of friends. The dining area was great for those evening dinners. The kitchen allowed for many people to be in and out. The living room was open, but felt very cozy. The balconies were a delight for drinking tea and reading a book. We never felt cramped, and that is what made the whole trip so peaceful. And, with owners like these, I know your trip will be a lot less stress-free. :)

  This is a bargain! I stayed three days on a business trip. The home is well maintained, plenty of space, the owners were very accomodating and easy to work with. I hate to write too much about it because it will only hurt my chances of being available on my next trip but it's the right thing to do. You won't go wrong with this rental.

  Our family (2 adults and 3 kids 9,5,2) stayed for 6 weeks in the summer on the trip of a lifetime from Ireland and had a great time, great house, clean well maintained lovely location, very short stroll to open big and very quiet beach. The owners were so helpful before and during our stay when we had any queries or needed any help (which in doing international money transfers was necessary), great value and the area was lovely to stay in, the neighbours we also really nice, friendly and helpful whenever we bumped into them. Nice extras like bikes and kids toys (buckets and spades) meant we had lots for kids without having to bring them with us. It was perfect.

  My family came down from Fresno and we did not expect it to be as big as it was...this place was a dream..very big and open..lot's of decks..2 fireplaces and plenty of room for all your visitors. Our families are from Oxnard and when they came over to visit us they had a blast..all the conveniences and even a little extra. We had a laundry room, a jacuzzi, a bbq, easy access to the beach. The owners were so easy to work with and they were so thoughtful. I wanted to book Easter there but they are already booked! Oh well, I will for sure rent from you again! Thanks so much for letting us use your perfect home!

  My wife and our 3 children arrived from Chicago to a warm, clean and beautiful home that included all the beachy ammenities we could hope for. The house is beautifully decorated and the owners were an absolute dream to deal with. The beach is clean, nice and uncrowded. Every evening we walked to the beach and enjoyed one breathtaking sunset after another. We definitely will return and my kids can't wait until next year. Thanks again!
