Can't wait to be back!
First and foremost, I have to say that Connie was simply wonderful! She made us feel welcome before we were even there. This was our first time using VRBO and I cannot say one negative thing about her or the experience. The condo is in a GREAT location, everything is walking distance! We had no problem getting to wherever we wanted for activities, food and drink, sightseeing, Old Port, shopping etc. There is a nice little cafe/grocery just steps away. It is two floors which makes it nice and "like home." The full kitchen was great for making any meal (even though Portland has probably the best foodie scene I've been too in my travels). There is plenty of sitting room too, she has two couches, a dining room table & chairs as well as a recliner. My husband was grateful for the DVD and CD selection as well (nice added plus for a relaxing evening by the fireplace). Everything was very neat and clean and it is a nice and quiet building. The bedroom upstairs is airy, sunny and comfy! All in all, we loved it! We had such a great time visiting Portland and staying here made it even that much better. We will be back and have already told our friends! Thanks Connie!!!

Owner response: Aw thanks Lana. I try to give suggestions to my guests and glad to hear they are helpful. I love to share my place and give you a relaxing, comfy place to return home to after your busy days footing and eating your way through this special town. You are most welcome back anytime. Thank you so much for taking the time for your unsolicited review. Best, Constance.

I loved this condo. My friend recommended it to me, and it was a pleasure. We rarely used the car, because all of the sites, restaurants, and waterfront were in walking distance. Kitchen was well equipped, comfortable and clean furnishings. Laundry on premises. Great deli just across the street. Nice fireplace for cool evenings. Everything you need and more. I would definitely love to stay again!

Condo is in a great location. Can walk everywhere and Portland is a great city. The owner of the condo was terrific to work with and provided us with a lot of information about museums, shops, restaurants etc. She also has lots of info in the condo itself. She's prompt at returning phone calls and very personable. We felt very comfortable working with her and staying in the condo.

What a great location. During our entire stay, we were able to walk to most places, and when we needed to drive, everything was very easy to find. The condo was clean, nicely decorated and had a wonderful “homey” quality – we felt comfortable immediately. We kept the windows open everyday – great breeze throughout all the rooms, and we loved hearing the seagulls. Connie was very helpful thru the entire rental process – this was our first VRBO experience. It was great having a well stocked kitchen and bathroom, and the laundry facility was a plus as well. We would highly recommend!

I travel frequently for work, and this is one of the best places I've stayed in a very long time. From the eclectic art on the walls to the changing views outside each window, the condo embraces you. The cliche of "a home away from home" actually applies here. It's warm, bright, spacious, and even cosy. I really didn't want to leave. The location is excellent, with museums, the Old Port, interesting little shops, and scores of great restaurants within a few blocks. You've probably read about Portland's restaurant scene by now; it's even better than they say. Don't miss the mailboat cruise on Casco Bay, or Minucchi's, or Coffee by Design, or Duckfats, or Fore Street for a splurge. Constance was a marvelous host and sent lots of useful info in advance. I can't wait to return.

Perfect place to stay while at a workshop in Portland. Close to everything, fully equipped for cooking in, secure building. Recommended to friends and colleagues. If ever in Portland again, would request to stay here! So much better than a hotel. My friends at the workshop who got a hotel were jealous!

Cozy, Spacious Place About 15 Mins. Walk to Old Port
Cozy, Spacious Place About 15 Mins. Walk to Old Port
We spent 3 rainy days in this lovely rental. Fantastic views (might even be able to see the water, if it's not raining) and the sound seagulls was music to our ears. Constance, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful. She made us feel right at home in bringing our 17 month old. There are restaurants within walking distance, but we dined in Old Port for the most part. We highly recommend Standard Bakery (almond croissants to die for) and Duckfat. We'd definitely chose this rental again.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this condo for five weeks this past March. It is conveniently located in Portland's lovely West End. It is an easy walk to the Old Port, Art District and many wonderful restaurants. The condo is charming, very comfortable and very well kept. The owner is extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this condo.

About the owner: From Vermont, our family has always vacationed in Maine on the coast. My grandfather was a minister in town and is buried here. From the first time we visited Portland we loved it. Foghorns, sunny days, walks on the beach or a good book by the fire all satisfy. Seafood - a favorite of ours abounds.
Why the Owner Chose Portland:
when we walked into the condo it was a 'wow' moment. It is very serene, and yet in the middle of downtown and only minutes away from almost anything to do in Portland. Walking distance to the Old Port. Read a book by the fireplace, snooze, a view from every window keeps things lively. Our son moved into the condo when he was at USM majoring in Jazz saxaphone.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Unique and acclaimed restaurants. Eat fresh fruit, vegeatbles and fish. LOBSTER. Walk and admire the architecture. Ride bikes all over the city. Take a drive to a beach. Portland is like a small oasis in a vast landscape of beaches, rocks, skyblue, sunsets, parks and streams.
