Manuel Antonio villa description
Located in the exclusive Buena Vista Villas resort inside Tulemar, we choose one of the three bedroom premium villas and add our own amenities and service; from Mauricio, your personal concierge to fresh flowers and other surprises, we transform it into our own Casa Ylang Ylang. This villa is a luxurious, 3 story, 3 bedroom, 3,000 sq ft. retreat nestled into the jungle hillside. Casa Ylang Ylang is named after the Ylang Ylang tree, whose aromatic flowers become most fragrant at sunset and is the basis for Chanel #5 perfume. It offers panoramic views of the ocean and lush jungle.
The casa is luxuriously furnished and has high end appliances throughout. As you enter through the huge teak door you pass into the over-sized living and kitchen area. There is also a 1/2 bath and a large daybed / TV on this floor. This leads to the 450 sq ft. wrap-around veranda with stunning view of the ocean and jungle, an outdoor dining area and a cold water, Jacuzzi tub (you do not want a hot water tub!).
On the next level below are 2 suites, each with 2 queen beds, luxurious mattresses and European linens and their own terrace. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with stone counters and an indoor and outdoor raindrop shower and ocean views.
On the bottom floor is the master suite, complete with king size bed, desk area, indoor and outdoor showers and a balcony, all with ocean views.
Use of the resort's three pools is included.

Great Place, Great Staff
My friends and I stayed here in late August as part of a trip through central america and we had the greatest times of our lives! The Villa was enormous and marvelous. It looked like it came right out of television show. There was a beautiful balcony and hot tub, tons of great looking rooms, and an out of the world view. The beach and pool were impeccable, and they have complimentary boogie boards and kayaks for you to use during your stay. As great as the location and house was, the trip would not have been the same without the outstanding service we got from our concierge Julien. He was available 24/7 and would stop at nothing to make sure our trip was great. We really did not have any itinerary coming in and his recommendations for activities and places absolutely made our weekend. He arranged for transportation for us during the whole weekend, and even got groceries delivered to us! I've stayed at a ton of hotels and resorts during my life and I have never met a concierge as good as him and I doubt I ever will. I could not recommend Tulemar more. Thanks to all of the staff, it was the best experience we had during our month long trip through central america.

Awesome time in Manuel Antonio and Tulemar
We just got back from a trip to Costa Rica and had a wonderful time in Manuel Antonio./Tulemar. My friends and I stayed at one of the three story villas and everything was perfect. Our personal concierge Andres was wonderful, and helped us with everything we needed from arranging a private dinner to recommending good nightlife. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The private beach was amazing as well as the pools and walking trails. This is a one of a kind place and everyone should try to stay in Tulemar. It is definitely Pura Vida!

What could be better then Tulemar!
We stayed at Tulemar the first week of July 2013 and had an incredible time. There were 8 of us total (two families with kids ranging in age from 6 to 10) and we all agreed it was the best vacation we'd ever taken. We had a three bedroom villa, comfortable and has incredible views. There were several pools nearby and the walks to the beach -- with side trips through the trails for sloth sightings -- were amazing. Our concierge was Chris and he is just a really lovely person. He took care of everything for us -- reservations for horseback riding and zip-lining, dinner reservations, driving us to the grocery store (!) -- it was all wonderful. All week long, we all felt so lucky to be staying at Tulemar! Stayed July 2013, traveled with family

Great place for families
Went with my best friend and her family. Between us we had 4 adults and 5 children all under 10. We stayed in a three story villa. It had views of the ocean and beaches as well as forest. Monkey's came to visit, we saw a sloth in a nearby tree. Kitchen was lovely, rooms and bathrooms were superb. Beautiful property, great restaurant, and overall a fantastic experience. Amazing private beach that supplied kayaks, boogie boards, life vests for the kids and food/ drink on the beach. We could not have been have been happier with this property. When you walk out of the gates there are restaurants, a spa, coffee shop and grocery store. What more do you need. Fabulous vacation!

This was a dream vacation!!!! The staff was wonderful and helpful with everything. Our house was centrally located to the beach, park, restaurants and grocery shopping. We were a family of 9 starting at 15 years old going up to 62 and it was perfect for everyone. We have traveled the world and this was a beautiful home and vacation. Lots of excursions to choose from and plenty of help to decide on a safe and fun adventure. We wish we had more time to stay. Fabulous find. Thanks Cindy for suggesting this villa. I loved Tulemar. It is a very safe place...there is a guard 24/7 at the front gate and he is very strict about who he lets in. The scenery is great. Pools are fabulous....and the private beach is even better. It's small, but at any given time there is probably less than 20 people on the beach so no need to worry. Water is warm and sometimes has some great waves for body-surfing or boogie-boarding. Kayaks are available at the beach as well. There is also a small restaurant and bar right there on the beach! Beach chairs available. The villa was great. Very clean. Very spacious. Washer and dryer included! I would return here in a heartbeat!!!

Views, Rain-forest, Hot Tub & Monkeys
I traveled with my family (7 persons) to Costa Rica and our final destination was Manuel Antonio, Tulemar Villas. The units are placed in a steep slope which ends in a small exclusive beach. They have plenty of space, beautiful terraces with hot tub, nice furniture and a very well equipped kitchen. Breakfast was served in a beach side palapa. We spent all day in the private beach, having margaritas from the bar. A wonderful experience. We enjoyed watching the monkeys walking on our villa´s terrace. Can't wait to come back! Beautiful and spacious
This home was perfect for my group of friends. There were multiple rooms so no sharing beds! Each morning I woke before the sun rose and stepped out on to the patio and viewed jungle and ocean. Absolutely breathtaking! We were a short walk from the beach so each day we were able to start our mornings off at the beach before we had our afternoon activities. While I am all for the relaxing vacation that can get boring. There were so many different activities to choose everyone was able to have the vacation they wanted. The shuttle service really helped with this! My favorite activity was the zip line tour through the jungle. Must recommend canopy safari-great guides made the tour so much fun! While I write this I am missing costa rica more and more. hearing all the monkey's howling right outside your door, watching the sun rise each day. Staying a home was so much better than a hotel, even though we still go the same amenities (hello, I am not making my bed on vacation!), it really felt as though I lived there. The best vacation I have had in a very long time. Thank you Cindy for suggesting this property for us.

You must stay in Tulemar!
I'm still in ah of how amazing this place was. Came here with my husband and about 10 of his co-workers. We had 3 villas between all of us and have been here for 4 nights. I do NOT want to leave, it's beautiful. The staff here is incredible and it's nice and quite for those who want to relax. Private beach with ALL amenities included and drivers to take you up and down the hill (from villa to beach). The walk in showers were incredible, probably the best shower I've EVER been in (big shower head coming out of ceiling). Shower while watching monkeys jump from trees? What more could you ask for? This place is a must. Worth every cent. We will be back!

Beautiful location and amazing service!
We had the pleasure of staying in the Buena Vista 3 Bedroom Villas for a week at the end of February. We had a group of 10 adults, with 6 of us staying in the 3 story, picture perfect villa. First, the staff at Tulemar is amazing, but we absolutely fell in love with Julien our concierge for the week. He arranged excursions, taxis, dinner cooked in our villa by a chef, massages in the room and helped us with any other needs we had. Julien showed us that vacationing in Costa Rica is all about Pura Vida. Tulemar is a gorgeous property with multiple pools for those that like to lounge around, but the private beach with free kayaks, snorkeling equipment and boogie boards is where the action is! There is a great snack bar down at the beach, so you can enjoy breakfast and lunch with cocktails in the Costa Rica sun. There are multiple restaurants with amazing food in walking distance from Tulemar, so you will never go hungry! We were all very sad to leave, but would highly recommend Tulemar and it's staff to anyone that is looking for an amazing trip to Costa Rica. Thank you Cindy for helping us to select this wonderful villa.
