This was my second visit to the cottage, which should say enough... The place is just as pictured, try as I might I couldn't get better shots. The back yard is such a wonderful plus- quiet and shady. The kitchen is great- all you'd ever need. The bedroom is small but quiet and a 5 minute walk to the ferry which puts you right in the French Quarter, and which runs all day from 6:00 AM 'till midnight. And it's fun, and free !! The owner of the cottage, Dina, is so nice, and very easy to work with. I had come down by myself for a week last fall, and wouldn't shut up about it 'till my wife came down with me this spring. Now she's hooked too. This is a great alternative to getting a room in the quarter, for about the same price. To me, it's not even close- Bouny Street, bay-bee !!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

3 of my girlfriends and I rented this property for 6 days to celebrate my birthday. This cottage is a convenient walk to the ferry and has everything you need. The owner's were very easy to work with. The cottage has all the necessities you may need. There is a quaint English bar a block from the house and a restaurant that has the best Muffaletta I ever had across from the ferry terminal. I really can not think of any downsides to this quaint little cottage. Even the neighbors were friendly. I didn't get to see all I wanted so I will definitely be returning and renting this cottage again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family of four (two kids, 11 and 9) stayed here for the month of August and loved it. The house is cozy, nicely furnished, great A/C, and convenient to both the ferry and good local food (esp. Dry Dock Cafe, Tout de Suite Cafe). Partly a working vacation, we felt more like residents than visitors, and had no trouble with parking nor finding a good running route on the levee, and the Internet connection was pretty reliable. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The house was excatly as shown in the pictures. It was a clean, comfortable place to stay. It felt like home from the moment we stepped in the door. The owner answered all of our questions regarding the home and even questions about the unique artwork through out the house. We hope to vacation in New Orleans again and we definetly hope to stay here again. If staying with others you need to make sure you are comfortable with them, as the bathroom is entered via the only bedroom. I would recommend staying here to anyone that is looking to spend time in the hustle and bustle, but would like a quiet place to return to. The ferry is convienent for getting into the urban area. Our car stayed parked until it was time to leave. Anyone staying here needs to eat a the Dry Dock Cafe, visit Jackson's square and the french quarter. Didn't care too much for Burbon Street (alot of strip clubs and bars). Checkout the tours of the swamp and the city of the dead.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My wife and I spent four weeks at this apartment at Algier's Point. We had a great time! The apartment was perfedt! Extremely clean, and completely equiped with all things you needed; towels, bathroom "stuff" etc. Very nice kitchen. Dina was very helpful; ( we had a little problem with the TV. She got it fixed quickly.) The location couldn't be better. The ferry was fun, we took it to all the action almost everyday. There is also a bus stop a block away from the house that we used to go to shopping locations. This place is great! My wife and I hated to leave!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Our family of 4 with 2 teenaged daughters LOVED Bouny House. We loved interacting with the locals and Algiers Point. We ate at The Dry Dock, Tout du Suit, and Gulf Pizza; all excellent. The home was very clean and accomodated us very well. It was quiet and perfect after a day of the French Quarter and other NOLA happenings. Pam and Kevin were wonderful. We stayed an entire week and would have loved to stay longer. We are planning our next trip and would only stay at the Bouny House. I would definitely recommend a stay at Bouny to get a real feel of local living. Best vacation our family has had in a long time!! We miss it and can't wait to go back. AWESOME!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent a week a Bouny house for a girls' gettaway in New Orleans. The house was an easy walk to the ferry. There are several good cafes and bars nearby. The neighborhood felt safe and the people were friendly. We loved being able to leave the city noise and parties for peace and quiet at night. The house itself had everything we needed, and it felt like a home away from home. Dina (the owner) was very helpful and easy to work with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This great rental looked exactly like the photos and description! Clean, all amenities as listed, and a really comfortable bed! Perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing in the French Quarter. Having the Ferry just 2 1/2 blocks away, meant we made many more trips to the French Quarter and Garden District than if our apartment was in another area. No parking fees when you can use the ferry. We only used the car a few times in 3 weeks, mainly for groceries. The local restaurants were very good, and reasonably priced. We especially enjoyed 'The Dry Dock' for dinner. The neighors were friendly and welcoming, and Dina, the owner answered any questions that came up in the rental process. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, clean and comfortable, with a unique and fast way to access the French Quarter and all tourist and sports attractions, rent here, ferry on over, and ride the trolley all day!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners.

We loved our stay! Taking the ferry was quick and exciting and Algiers was an amazing little neighborhood. This house had everything we could have needed and more, and it was so wonderful that we were able to bring our dog along on vacation and not have to kennel her. Owner's were easy to work with! Can't wait to plan our nex trip to NOLARecommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

I recently relocated to New Orleans and found this spot to stay for a month, while looking for more permanent housing. Dina was beyond helpful and accommodating, working with me on the details of my stay. The apartment is cute and cozy, in a very quaint neighborhood and it is just a quick ferry ride across the Mississippi river right over to the French Quarter. It is an absolutely perfect location if you want to be close to all the action, yet come back to a quiet and relaxing space. There is a very nice secluded patio out back to just relax and listen to the sounds of the city. The neighbors are also very helpful and are happy to suggest great places to see and things to do. The neighborhood is also very safe, an overall fantastic place to stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
