This beach is an ideal place to swim and boogie board with very safe wave and tidal conditions. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance and Santa Barbara is 15 minutes up the freeway. Though once you settle into this sleepy little beach town, you may not want to go anywhere else. World famous Rincon Beach is just a few miles south, and has some of the best surfing conditions in California. The City of Carpinteria has their parks and recreational boat house across the street and seasonally offers surfing, kayaking, sailing, and snorkeling lessons. There are also hot outdoor showers just off the beach as well as some beach furniture provided. Wine tasting, golf, sailing, trips to the Channel Islands are all less than an hour away.
