My wife and I plus another couple enjoyed the Pali Kai house from Sept.9th through the 13th of 2011. Great location and view of the canal from both floors and no highway noise from Hyw 101. The house was very nicely furnished and kitchen well stocked; John and Cindy made us feel right at home. The upper deck was a good place to enjoy the view, lay in the sun and check out the star cinerama at night.. Try it, you'll like it.

This is a wonderful cabin, the pictures are accurate and present a clear example of what you will see when you arrive. The best thing is the beds are comfortable and the cabin kitchen and bath are very well stocked with supplies. We ate many oysters and the crab was also delicious. The hospitality shown by John and Cindy made us feel very welcomed and appreciated as guests. There are limited restaurants available within a short drive but there is an IGA just down the road and we used the provided BBQ grill most evenings. . It is without hesitation that we would recommend Pali Kai on Hood Canal as a great place to stay.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

The online pics do not do justice to this place. We stayed the weekend of July 1, 2011. The owners are awesome and have provided everything you need for an outstanding get-away. We couldn't believe how many oysters we ate, and you can fill a bucket in 10 minutes without moving more than 10 feet. Nice stereo and video for evenings. Indoors and out, it's just downright comfortable ... not like a condo that's been set up just for rental. The art on the walls reflects the owners' sunny personalities and sense of humor. The decks, both upper and lower have a nice combo of sun and shade, and wonderful views. Even without a boat, this was a great value. If you have a boat, probably even better. Highly recommended. We plan on going back next year.

We so enjoyed our stay at Pali Kai. Plenty of amenities. Very clean, quality linens, fully stocked kitchen and breathtaking views. We'll recommend this to all our friends and family.

Wow! My family and I were blown away by the house and its surroundings. The house was very clean and comfortable. The owners of the house were very friendly, and answered all of our questions before our trip to the canal. The beach access was so close, and we spent a lot of time near the water. We enjoyed our weekend very much, and would recommend the house rental to everyone wanting a fantastic getaway, on the beautiful Hood Canal.

This was a great place for three women wanting to get away and relax, and the owners were so friendly and accomodating to all our needs. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. And the decore was beautiful! Very clean place and you couldn't get more private with the home AND beach.We had a blast with oyster shucking-(hundreds of oysters) on your own private beach.Loved it.We want to come come back and bring our families next time.
