This unit is a magificent, third floor, loft style condominium with two (2) French door window scapes and two (2) French balconies facing the north, offering unobstructed views of the Bay, Mosely Channel, Cedar Point Fireworks, Johnson's Island, Edison Bridge and the surrounding waterfront attractions from BOTH the greatroom and bedroom balconies.
New in 2008, #369 is an impressive, inviting condo at The Chesapeake Lofts, located on the South shore of Lake Erie and Sandusky Bay at 401 W. Shoreline Drive, Sandusky.
The building was originally constructed by Hinde & Dauch Paper Co. in the early 1920s and is listed by the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in industrial history. Directly adjacent to the condo property is a 62 slip transient marina and amphitheatre.
The charming interior of this is 1600 sq ft unit features soaring ceilings, exposed structural steel beams, original brick, architectural detail and a wrought iron spiral staircase leading to the spacious loft/gallery overlooking the greatroom.
The furnishings, decor and artwork make this condo comfortable, luxurious, esthetic and accommodating.
Two full bathrooms one with shower, one with tub/shower.
The kitchen is abundantly equipped, including espresso and mill/brewcoffee machines for coffee drinkers.
Upon request and detail, additional provisions for the kitchen can be supplied at reasonable cost.

Onsite is a large private, outdoor, gated pool and spa tub with umbrella tables and lounge chairs, a BBQ area, a fitness center and a waterfront walkway. Upon arrival, beyond the security-gate entrance for the Chesapeake Lofts is a substantial parking lot.
A Short Walk... to the Lake Erie Islands Ferries.... to downtown Sandusky that ofers fine dining, a wine bar, bar/grills, entertainment, concerts at Mylander Plaza, farmers markets, festivals, a theater, a dinner-cruise ship,.... to marinas with lakeshore dining, ...to parks, including the beautiful blooming Washington Park where President Obama recently visited, ...to historical and cultural attractions, museums, and chruches...to the spectacular City of Sandusky Greenhouse, recently renovated with a huge grant from the Kellog Foundation.
Easily accessible and a short distance away are beaches, Cedar Point Amusement Park (5 miles east), biking, the quaint city of Lakeside (featuring weekly symphony concerts in August), the abundant galleries of Marblehead, lighthouses, Port Clinton, Huron, Milan, waterparks, shopping, movie theaters, golf, wetlands, and birding. Furthermore, Lake Erie is the 'Walleye Capital of the World', and also offers excellent perch, and small mouth bass fishing from piers and charter boats.

We were very fortunate to be able to rent this beautiful condo for about 8 weeks last winter (2011). The condo is beautiful and "Rental Rhonda" is a very organized and welcoming rental entity! I have never had a better experience, from beginning to end. Renting the condo in the winter, while off season, was a quiet and restful experience for our son who needed to complete an educational requirement in Sandusky. Rhonda was so helpful to him,making sure that he was comfortable and taken care of, even to the extent of adding internet access. Also, he thoroughly enjoyed the views of Sandusky Bay during the winter and early Spring. This condo would be great get away for anyone, any season... and you will be so pleased with Rhonda and how she takes care of every detail! I hope to return and spend time in this beautiful setting! For our trip, this was a perfect place to stay. We walked downtown and visited several of the local restaurants, Cedar Point was a short drive around the corner, it was great to watch the boats on the bay and Rhonda was a pleasure to do business with. There is no TV in this condo but with activities, our laptop, games and the beautiful view, we barely missed it!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

"This condo has been housing for our out-of-town guest artists during concert weeks for the Firelands Symphony Orchestra. The artists have been universally impressed with the elegant decorations, beautiful lakefront views and overall excellent condition of the complex. My wife and I only had a few days to take a honeymoon between MI and Cleveland and this Condo was perfect. Very Clean, romantic, and amazing view. Rhonda also was great in making arrangements to accomadate our stay and make it as hassel free as possible. The Condo also included access to a very nice and clean pool as well. Walking distance to restaurants and boat to the Islands. If anyone is looking for a place to stay I strongly recommend this Condo. Amazing!! This is really a great place to stay for a vacation, fantastic views of the lake from the bedroom and living room. Everything you could imagine is here for your enjoyment. You don't even miss the TV. Immaculate place and well furnished. Owner was really nice and went over and above to make your stay pleasant. If your looking for a great place to stay, then I recommend this place. If you are looking to stay in Sandusky, look no further. This loft is perfect. You are within steps of fantastic downtown restaurants and just a short car ride to Cedar Point. The loft is beautiful and offers so much space compared to a hotel. In addition you have a wonderful pool, workout room and a spectacular view. It is even better than described. My husband look forward to staying again. Rhonda is a delight to rent from. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely condo with its incredible views of Sandusky Bay. While the photos and listing description are “right on,” the setting is truly much more stunning in person. The condo is immaculate, spacious, well-appointed, and handicapped-accessible (my husband uses a wheelchair.) We would highly recommend this condo to a couple who is seeking a peaceful retreat right on the water. We especially enjoyed watching several lake freighters sail directly under the condo windows and viewing stunning sunsets across the Bay. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful stay at your condo!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, people with disabilities.
