  Very good views of the gulf, nice intimate location on Sanibel. Private beach, no crowds. About 20 bikes to choose from for Island biking, although this year only about 2 or 3 were rideable. Some had hanging chains, broken seats, sticky handlebars. The owners of 6D need to fix little things, such as replacing the verticles on the sliding glass doors, better lighting in the bathrooms, clean the rug in dining room, and every year we have to buy lightbulbs to replace burned out ones throughout the condo. Esp the light outside the front door. Its very dark, and inconvenient trying to get in, in the dark. Again, these are little things. This condo has everything you could be looking for as far as convenience of home living. It is in a great location to the beach and the pool. The lighthouse and Pinnochios Ice cream shop is within walking distance. We look fwd to Pinnochios!! The grill and picnic area by the pool is a nice area to cook and visit with relatives. You cannot go wrong with 6D at Shell Island, and you will definitely have a memorable stay!! PS. The trek up 4 flights of stairs is not for anyone impaired with leg or back problems.

  We enjoyed our stay at this property. The unit looked exactly like the pictures. The bathroom looked a little bit old and worn, but was clean and worked just fine. We cooked almost every meal and found the kitchen to be well stocked. The only thing it lacked was a garlic press and a food processor, but those were very minor things and we managed without. Otherwise it had everything you could possibly need. We especially enjoyed the lanai and we loved having access to the free bikes. We would definitely stay here again.

  We have loved Sanibel Island for many years and have always stayed at Shell Island Beach Club. For the first time we rented 6D and found it to be perfect. The upper floor view of the Gulf was gorgeous and the condo's decor is lovely and well maintained. This condo has everything for a luxurious stay. The walk up the steps to the top floor was worth it. Every hour the view of the gulf changed from sunrise to sunset. We sat in the screened in lanai and watched boats in the distance. The boardwalk is just below the condo so it's a pretty short walk to the beach. This island creates memories you'll always treasure.

  Spacious gulf front condo. Steps to the beach with a great pool area. Free bikes was nice for our group. The description and pictures matched our experience. I have already recomended the unit to family. The fishing pier is also a short bike ride away.

  this condo has a wonderful view of the Gulf and an easy walk to the very clean pool and beach. A few things needed updating...light fan in master bath fell off when we we in there....towels are pretty thin...could use plastic cups to take to beach and pool...but our biggest problem were the items that we were to use to sit on the beach. The 2 beach chairs were very old and made for a 10 year old's behind in size...there were three umbrellas in the closet and 2 of them were broken. The only other beach chair there was was an old strap chair that was worn thin. So for a condo that sleeps 6, this just doesn't work very well...considering every other renter we saw there had these fabulous looking Tommy Bahama chairs (hello, Costco for $20!)....if you are renting at the beach...then you want to be on the beach! I guess this condo doesn't cater to the over 40 set! Anyway....it served us just fine....but if you can, bring your own beach stuff...which i know is hard if you fly!

  Great location with an awesome view. Shell Island Beach Club is nice, clean, and has a lot of ammenities. It would be nice if some of the rental units had the converters that change the twin beds into full size to accomodate 2 couples like they do on cruise ships. We enjoyed the hot tub and free bikes. The unit was nice and just as described and looked just like the pictures. A couple things need replaced like the ceiling fan on the lanai and the toilet seat but overall it was a nice unit and we enjoyed it. Sanibel is a beautiful and relaxing vacation destination. Plenty of shops & restaurants & lovely beaches. The wildlife sanctuary was nice and fishing at the pier was good. We had good meals at the Sanibel Cafe and Sanibel Grille. We also enjoyed lunch at the Bubble Room on Captiva. Thanks for offering a lovely vacation getaway!

  We stayed here for a week in April and had a wonderful time. The location of the unit is terrific. It has a huge screened porch looking out over the ocean. We all enjoyed being so close to the beach and the pool and shuffle board was fun too. Overall I highly recommend.
