My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Nancy's casita. We have been coming to Las Cruces about 4 times a year to visit our son at NMSU and have always stayed at various hotels. This place beats any thing in town! It is everything as advertised and more. The property is immaculate and very well maintained. The king size bed is very comfortable. Nancy takes great pride in her casita and it shows with all the details that she has provided for her guests. We loved hanging out on the private patio in the morning and in the evening. Our only regret is we didn't find this hidden gem sooner!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers.

We wanted to share our experiences while staying at Nancy’s Casita this past February and March so that others could take advantage of this hidden treasure in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Upon our arrival, Nancy welcomed us and made us feel at home in her cozy, spotlessly clean Casita. It was obvious that it had been very well maintained. One of the main advantages is that the Casita is centrally located and within five minutes drive of the “street market” which is held in downtown Las Cruces twice a week. It is also near the library, Post Office and the tennis courts at Lions Park, and a number of antique stores just west of 2nd street off Picacho Avenue. Another advantage of staying at the Casita was that we were able to take our dog for walks at Lions Park and to another park off Picacho Avenue which adjoins the Rio Grande and which has a long walking trail. My wife especially enjoyed the New Mexico sun while sitting in the Casita’s enclosed back yard which had several swings and a privacy fence. The most important reason we highly recommend staying at the Casita is that Nancy has furnished the Casita with just about anything needed for a short or extended stay. Her kitchen had all the appliances, dishes, cookware and silverware so that all it required was a visit to a supermarket for food. When we needed to do laundry there was a large washer and dryer. The Casita had a comfortable King size bed and walk-in closet which could be closed off from the living room for a quiet nap. The living room had a large TV w/cable and a DVD player in addition to a whole house Wi-FI which we utilized daily. During our stay Nancy also was kind enough to send us e-mails advising us of several local events such as the annual Arts Fair and several theater productions. In summary, we really enjoyed our time in Nancy’s Casita because of all her efforts in making it a “home away from home” and her help in makeing our stay in Las Cruces one of our best vacations ever. We would highly recommend Nancy's Casita to travelers to, or through Las Cruces, New Mexico.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

The home was clean and appointed with everything we could have needed, plus some. Our stay was short (4 nights) and located very conveniently for our purposes in Las Cruces. The property was very comfortable with good linens and towels. The large walk-in closet was great for storing our things out of the way! We spent most of our days out and about enjoying Mesilla, Dripping Springs for hiking, and the farmers market on Saturday. We can recommend a trip to Hatch, NM and lunch at Sparky's barbeque! Follow that with a stop in Truth or Consequences for a soak at Riverbend Hot Springs and you've got a perfect day. It was always nice to come back to the comfort of the property at the end of a busy day.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

This is a lovely property with all the touches of home (and then some). Nancy could not have been nicer. Our whole experience with this website, Nancy, and the property itself was as easy as can be. We often use VRBO when we travel and the Casita couldn't have been more perfect. The most comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful decor and convenient location made our time in Las Cruces a true home away from home. We were attending a softball tournament at New Mexico State. It was an easy commute to the softball field from the house. Be sure to try Caliche's frozen custard for a sweet treat. Thank you Nancy for attending to all our needs. We hope to return to the Casita next February.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My husband and I enjoyed our month long stay in this lovely Casita very much. This home is located in a nice central location, convenient to shopping, thelLibrary and museums, the market and to Mesilla. The house is extremely comfortable and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. I spent several pleasant afternoons reading in the backyard swing. The owners were very helpful, and quickly came to our rescue after I locked us out when going out to dinner one evening. The laundry facilities are super as is the very well furnished kitchen. The large walk-in closet was more than adequate for all of our belongings. We found the bed very comfortable. The house is very attractively decorated with nice art work and other accessories. We hope to be able to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway.

I travel to Las Cruces every year for medical care. I only stay for one week, so I needed to find a place that was perfect for my husband and myself for a short stay. I must say that the pictures do not really do the place justice. It's a really cozy, clean and tastefully decorated Casita with a bunch of little extras. It's an older neighbourhood, but we felt really safe there and enjoyed the private little courtyard with swings, etc. The appliances are also quite new and in perfect condition. I really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Las Cruces... much more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The only negative is that the property is near some train tracks and a train seems to go by every night between 10 and 10:30 pm. It wasn't a problem for us and we didn't hear any in the middle of the night. There is a great golf course at the Sonoma Ranch Golf Club that also has a super restaurant and bar. (only $25 to golf after noon!) Check out the Tucan grocery store if you like organic products. Thanks Nancy for making our stay so comfortable!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We have stayed in a number of VRBO's; this is the best!! Nancy's Adobe Casita is as described, and more! The pictures are accurate but don't capture the full charm and comfort of this cozy little house. The casita is equipped with quality appliances, linens, kitchen necessities and outdoor furniture; each room is tastefully decorated. Nancy has attended to all details, including frosted beer mugs in the freezer. The Adobe Casita clearly moves beyond a business venture to a project of pride. The WiFi service was reliable and quite fast, always meaningful for many folks on the road; both the laptop and Blackberry worked well. The mostly residential neighbourhood is quiet, with modest, interesting style where we felt secure. We rode our bikes east of I-25 and southwest to Old Mesilla and Mesilla Park. When we come back to Las Cruces, we will plan around availability of Adobe Casita.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
