My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Nancy's casita. We have been coming to Las Cruces about 4 times a year to visit our son at NMSU and have always stayed at various hotels. This place beats any thing in town! It is everything as advertised and more. The property is immaculate and very well maintained. The king size bed is very comfortable. Nancy takes great pride in her casita and it shows with all the details that she has provided for her guests. We loved hanging out on the private patio in the morning and in the evening. Our only regret is we didn't find this hidden gem sooner!

The home was clean and appointed with everything we could have needed, plus some. Our stay was short (4 nights) and located very conveniently for our purposes in Las Cruces. The property was very comfortable with good linens and towels. The large walk-in closet was great for storing our things out of the way! We spent most of our days out and about enjoying Mesilla, Dripping Springs for hiking, and the farmers market on Saturday. We can recommend a trip to Hatch, NM and lunch at Sparky's barbeque! Follow that with a stop in Truth or Consequences for a soak at Riverbend Hot Springs and you've got a perfect day. It was always nice to come back to the comfort of the property at the end of a busy day.

We wanted to share our experiences while staying at Nancy’s Casita this past February and March so that others could take advantage of this hidden treasure in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Upon our arrival, Nancy welcomed us and made us feel at home in her cozy, spotlessly clean Casita. It was obvious that it had been very well maintained. One of the main advantages is that the Casita is centrally located and within five minutes drive of the “street market” which is held in downtown Las Cruces twice a week. It is also near the library, Post Office and the tennis courts at Lions Park, and a number of antique stores just west of 2nd street off Picacho Avenue. Another advantage of staying at the Casita was that we were able to take our dog for walks at Lions Park and to another park off Picacho Avenue which adjoins the Rio Grande and which has a long walking trail. My wife especially enjoyed the New Mexico sun while sitting in the Casita’s enclosed back yard which had several swings and a privacy fence. The most important reason we highly recommend staying at the Casita is that Nancy has furnished the Casita with just about anything needed for a short or extended stay. Her kitchen had all the appliances, dishes, cookware and silverware so that all it required was a visit to a supermarket for food. When we needed to do laundry there was a large washer and dryer. The Casita had a comfortable King size bed and walk-in closet which could be closed off from the living room for a quiet nap. The living room had a large TV w/cable and a DVD player in addition to a whole house Wi-FI which we utilized daily. During our stay Nancy also was kind enough to send us e-mails advising us of several local events such as the annual Arts Fair and several theater productions. In summary, we really enjoyed our time in Nancy’s Casita because of all her efforts in making it a “home away from home” and her help in makeing our stay in Las Cruces one of our best vacations ever. We would highly recommend Nancy's Casita to travelers to, or through Las Cruces, New Mexico.

This is a lovely property with all the touches of home (and then some). Nancy could not have been nicer. Our whole experience with this website, Nancy, and the property itself was as easy as can be. If you are considering a trip to Las Cruces, this would be a great place for you to stay.

We often use VRBO when we travel and the Casita couldn't have been more perfect. The most comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful decor and convenient location made our time in Las Cruces a true home away from home. We were attending a softball tournament at New Mexico State. It was an easy commute to the softball field from the house. Be sure to try Caliche's frozen custard for a sweet treat. Thank you Nancy for attending to all our needs. We hope to return to the Casita next February.

We spent a week at Las Cruces based at the Casita. It was very comfortable with every possible ammenity present including umbrellas, frosted beer mugs, and a bath robe. The weather was cold, but we were very comfortable. Nancy provides an exceptional quality stay and we will certainly be back.

My husband and I enjoyed our month long stay in this lovely Casita very much. This home is located in a nice central location, convenient to shopping, thelLibrary and museums, the market and to Mesilla. The house is extremely comfortable and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. I spent several pleasant afternoons reading in the backyard swing. The owners were very helpful, and quickly came to our rescue after I locked us out when going out to dinner one evening. The laundry facilities are super as is the very well furnished kitchen. The large walk-in closet was more than adequate for all of our belongings. We found the bed very comfortable. The house is very attractively decorated with nice art work and other accessories. We hope to be able to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

I travel to Las Cruces every year for medical care. I only stay for one week, so I needed to find a place that was perfect for my husband and myself for a short stay. I must say that the pictures do not really do the place justice. It's a really cozy, clean and tastefully decorated Casita with a bunch of little extras. It's an older neighbourhood, but we felt really safe there and enjoyed the private little courtyard with swings, etc. The appliances are also quite new and in perfect condition. I really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Las Cruces... much more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The only negative is that the property is near some train tracks and a train seems to go by every night between 10 and 10:30 pm. It wasn't a problem for us and we didn't hear any in the middle of the night. There is a great golf course at the Sonoma Ranch Golf Club that also has a super restaurant and bar. (only $25 to golf after noon!) Check out the Tucan grocery store if you like organic products. Thanks Nancy for making our stay so comfortable!

We have stayed in a number of VRBO's; this is the best!! Nancy's Adobe Casita is as described, and more! The pictures are accurate but don't capture the full charm and comfort of this cozy little house. The casita is equipped with quality appliances, linens, kitchen necessities and outdoor furniture; each room is tastefully decorated. Nancy has attended to all details, including frosted beer mugs in the freezer. The Adobe Casita clearly moves beyond a business venture to a project of pride. The WiFi service was reliable and quite fast, always meaningful for many folks on the road; both the laptop and Blackberry worked well. The mostly residential neighbourhood is quiet, with modest, interesting style where we felt secure. We rode our bikes east of I-25 and southwest to Old Mesilla and Mesilla Park. When we come back to Las Cruces, we will plan around availability of Adobe Casita.

I loved it as soon as I got here. I am a business traveler and I spend 95% of my time on the road. This place has everything you would ever need, even washer and dryer. It has a huge comfy bed and the managers of the property are extremely nice. I had a mechanical issue with something and they were right there the very next day fixing it for me. I received some friendly emails as well recommending some local festivities. The Casita also has Wi-Fi and TV with cable and DVR. What I loved the most was the backyard area fully furnished with a grill! I highly recommend coming and staying here if you are to visit the Las Cruces area. You will not regret it.

We are missing the warm inviting Adobe Casita with all the comforts of home and more. The attention to detail and the desires of a traveler are beyond expectations. The inviting enclosed patio with a view of the setting sun to the bright blue bench giving a view of the mountains from the front courtyard provided us with opportunties to relax after exploring New Mexico each day during our stay. Thank you, Nancy, for welcoming us to the casita and to New Mexico. You made us feel like family. Adobe Casita is a jewel of the desert just waiting to be discovered and loved by others.

As usual we enjoyed our stay in Las Cruces and at Adobe Casita. The casita is very close to downtown and the Las Cruces Farmer's Market and not too far from NMSU. The Casita is very well appointed with a full kitchen, nice linens and a new washer/dryer. The back yard is very sweet, however the weather wasn't conducive to sitting out and enjoying the yard. As always Nancy was a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed our stay very much.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable and well appointed home. LOVED the fenced in backyard with two swings and large barbeque grill. The landscaping is very well done giving you complete privacy. The owner is very gracious and made every attempt to make sure you had everything you needed for a great stay. Centrally located with good access to interstates and Old Mesilla. Close to the Farmer's Market which I really enjoyed. Home was clean and well kept and we would highly recommend this restful retreat.

I was pleasently surprised when we walked into 'AdobeCasita'. Because of the pic's on Google Earth I was not quite sure what we were going to walk in to but the home is spotless, the neighborhood was very quiet, and Nancy was more than gracious in answering our questions and giving tips about the area. Everything in the description of the casita is accurate; plenty of dishes, towels, and all the extras that go with a home.(Even bird seed for the feeder in the back yard!) I will highly recommend this rental, we have rented quite a few times thru vrbo. and this one is on the top of our list now.

This casita has everything and I mean everything. I have stayed in many four and five star resorts that were no where near as nice as this. I can't think of a thing that wasn't there for my convineance. Soooo comfy. It is in an old part of town, so a little driving is needed but so what. I highly recommend this lovely casita.

We couldnt believe how well located and well equipped the casita was...easy driving to the historic areas of Las Cruces; close to art museums, galleries and restaurants; near major interstates, making side trips more convenient; and a few minutes from golf courses. Among our favorite places were White Sands National Monument and nearby Cloudcroft., where we enjoyed a lovely lunch in the old victorian lodge wbhile looking at beautiful alpine vistas. This place is only a half hour from the mesquite and yucca covered plains of White Sands. Amazing. We also enjoyed looking around Old Mesilla with it's historic houses and pecan groves and found the Thai Delight restaurant much to our liking. The Preston Contemporary Art Center in Old Mesilla is a gem. The casita's listing description and photos were very accurate and the property totally clean and well-maintained. Had the weather been a little warmer, we would have loved to sit in the privacy of the back patio and enjoyed a barbecue. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. It was Perfect!

My husband and I are writing this in the middle of our 6-day stay. We keep saying to each other: "We are so lucky to have found this!" It is absolutely perfect in every way. The house is more spacious and cuter than it appears in the photos. Everything is new and clean as a whistle. It is well-stocked with kitchen items and some food, toiletries, even a first-aid kit which came in handy when I needed a Band-Aid after hiking. The neighborhood is dead-silent at night, and the location is very convenient to all the shops and restaurants downtown. Nancy, the owner, was waiting for us at the house to welcome us when we arrived. We really will hate to leave -- this has been a wonderful "home" for us. Tips for fellow travelers: you can't beat the margaritas at La Posta in Old Mesilla -- the blackberry/pepper margarita is especially delicious. For late-night suppers or snacks, SB's Late-night Lunch Box is just minutes away on Water Street and has delicious and healthy sandwiches, desserts, and vegan/vegetarian cuisine. Their double-chocolate cream-cheese cake is to die for! Things to do: White Sands national park of course, and good hiking at Dripping Springs and Soledad Canyon, just a short drive from the house.

When I walked into the Casita for the first time, I thought this will be a wonderful vacation home. There has been so much effort in the adobe to satisfy anyone's needs. The appliances are up-dated and in marvelous condition. It is definitly a home away from home with all the conveniences. Nothing escaped the owners in providing the extras from scotch tape, paper clips and cookbooks. The location is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to restaurants, quiet walks and quick groceries. The area offers so many opportunities for exploration, dining, and shopping. I found comfort, peace and tranquility during my stay. I look forward to a revisit.

The casita owners obviously care a lot about this property. The casita is in a humble n Las Cruces neighborhood. The house looks plain as you drive by. Yet inside, every room has been attended to with consideration for comfort. The king size bed was luxury. There are reading lamps and tables on both sides. The closet is enormous. A separate laundry room has new machines. I like to sleep in a blacked out room, but during the day I want to see the sky. Shades and curtains were provided. We found the kitchen had a dishwasher, disposal, blender, etc. Everything was clean and easy to maintain. Before we arrived, the owner quickly and warmly responded to emailed questions. I would stay here again--with a bike or car at my disposal. It's about a mile from the museums in town.

One of the most attractive and comfortable accommodations I've had on VRBO. Everything is immaculate, confortable; the provisioning is complete. I cannot think of anything I needed that was not already available. The Casita provided such an enjoyable environment; the bed is comfortable, the private patio was so relaxing. I was able to enjoy the wonderful New Mexico sun and catch up on my reading. Everything met or exceeded what was described in the listing. The lodging is convenient to restaurants, gas stations, mall, general shopping are accessible within minutes. I have been telling my friends of this place and will be back for a longer stay. Everything is immaculate; (can't think of anything I needed that wasn't already made available); the decorating was exceptionally ... it takes a while to appreciate all the little individual touches. Such an enjoyable environment; the bed is comfortable. We sure enjoyed having the luxury front end washer and dryer. Everything met or exceeded what was described in the listing. The lodging is conveniently an attractively landscaped with private courtyard. I enjoyed the swing, BBQ grill and fire pit. I was able to catch up on my reading or just soaking up the wonderful New Mexico weather. Restaurants, gas stations, mall, general shopping are accessible within very short drives. We tell our friends of this wonerful place and surely be back. Thank you for letting us enjoy the Casita. David Reed
