My husband and I rented this charming cottage last summer for 2 weeks in July. . It has a wonderfully equipped kitchen , and preparing meals was a delight. The property was very clean and well maintained.. There is a book in the house with suggestions on what to see, where to eat, and good day trips etc.The area is rich in history, and the country side breathtaking..and the people are wonderful! And the images on the website , truly reflect the property. We hope to return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I rented this lovely cottage last summer ( 2 weeks in July 2011). It was perfect ! The kitchen is everything one could wish for, and the cottage is lovely and convenient! It is located in a region that allows one to travel / explore the "Loire" and "Charente Poitou"...and an easy day trip to "La Rochelle" etc .and the "Charente Maratime". The house is very well equipped, and has all the amenities that an American / European visitor could wish. for! We hope to return. N.C. USARecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My wife and I recently stayed at this property near Lencloitre which we came to think of as a little slice of heaven. The owner Susan has thought of everything that you could need to make this stay as effortless and relaxing as possible. Pastoral paintings come to mind sitting on the rear patio with rolling hills, lush verdant farmland, and a Grand Chateau as your panorama. The enclosed front patio catches the morning sun and from the rear deck the sun sets over the countryside. Think of romance. Although in the country the cottage has all the modern conveniences for a secluded get-a-way. To us this meant no TV, phones, computers or all the other interuptions of a true vacation. There are a number of small villages near by that offer excellent fare if you care to dine out and a Grand Chateau that has been converted into a hotel and a superior restaurant. All information is provided for at the cottage.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: I am plesased they feel as I do about the cottage. Give them another trip. They make me smile. Susan
