  Villa Mesco is everything you see but more when you arrive. The photos cannot duplicate the ambiance and charm of this home. The views are beyond belief, they are fantastic. The house was perfect, 3 bathrooms in the main house and a bedroom and bath in the guest house. Paolo, the owner, was helpful, charming, kind and considerate to our family that included two young grandchildren. He was always responsive to all our requests and questions and helped us with reservations at restaurants and any other issue we might have. Paolo and his wife, Corrine, are truly representative of the welcoming Italians. They are gracious and kind and helped make this vacation one that can not be duplicated. I would highly recommend this place to people who are fit, love to hike,swim, eat and relax. The location of the Villa next to the trailhead that goes from Levanto to Monterosso was ideal. The Villa is also a five minute walk to the sea and the charming town of Levanto. There are many restaurants to choose from and different price points to satisfy all. There are not enough superlatives to describe Villa Mesco and the owners Paolo and Corrine.

They spend an important anniversary in my property an I was so happy to receive everybody . They were so nice ,even the little children....It's so agreeable to meet polite persons I've appreciated the courtesy and the tact of Debby and Bob . We stroke up a friendship. I recomend to every Owner to recive Debby and Bob a kind couple of perfect Americans.

  Our group had the privilege of staying in this impressive Villa our the Easter break. I would highly recommend this Villa for any travellers hoping to spend some time in the Cinque Terre area. This Villa is situated above the city of Levanto and requires a 10 min walk to the beach or a few min by car which makes the views truly amazing! The walking path of Cinque Terre is "immediately" out side of the house...from the house its about 2 hours hiking to the city of Monterosso with beautiful views of the coast all the way. Getting the train back to Levanto is easy but the walk back to the villa from the train station is a good way and after a long day hiking its a challenge. The villa inside is beautifully decorated and very roomy, the kitchen is nicely renovated with all you need to make some fantastic meals to eat outside and watch the sun set. the rooms are big and in total the villa can sleep 8 comfortable using 3 bedrooms with double beds (or bigger) and the 4th room has bunk beds for kids perhaps. The house was very clean and the photos were exactly as inside, the pool is smaller and more like a plunge pool which is also located within the grounds of the villa but not immediately next to house. The grounds of the villa are exception and well maintained. New TV if you had time to watch...but point to note is that there really is no stereo so if you want music bring an iPod player with you. And as well, probably best to check or ask to ensure there are BBQ supplies ready for you when you arrive if you have that type of cooking in mind. Highly recommend to anyone with a bigger group or even a small group that wants more room! FYI, the owner speaks English, French and of course Italian (possilbly more?) Enjoy!!

  We rented Villa Mesco last month with another couple. It was wonderful!!!! The views are amazing. Paolo is so helpful with any questions you have. The rooms are very comfortable. It was so nice to sleep with the windows open every night! We would definitely stay here again. It is about a 10 minute hike into town. Coming back the hill is a little steep, but there is so much to see you can stop and rest on the way back up and just enjoy the beauty. There are many good restaurants in Levanto. Such a beautiful town! The only bit of advice I have is, do not hike the trail from Levanto to Monterosso unless you are a serious hiker. It is very difficult and took us over 3 hours. In hindsight I would have taken the train or water taxi to Cinque Terre and used the energy to hike between the towns. We were too tired to walk anymore by the time we got to Monterosso.

  We rented Villa Mesco on the Sea from October 16 to 23 and we loved it. We were two couples and we chose to sleep in the two bedrooms facing the sea. The beds were very comfortable, nice mattresses and nice sheets and blankets, we slept very well to the sound of the sea. We woke up to a beautiful view of the sea each morning and the grounds were lovely, fruit trees and olive trees and flowers in full bloom even though this was the end of October. The kitchen had great appliances and everything required for cooking and we prepared some wonderful meals that we would eat at the dining room table with some local wines. Levanto is a lovely place and we also visited the other towns surrounding it either by hiking or taking the train using the Cinque Terre pass. It was always a pleasure to be coming home to our villa each evening and the climb up the hill was invigorating. After our days of exploring and having two hour lunches or a dinner out, it was good to get some exercise to burn those extra calories and we ended up returning from our trip not having gained a lot of weight thanks to our daily exercise. Paolo was wonderful, he picked us up from the train station and took us up to the villa, showed us everything and dropped off a wifi key for us to use for internet access. He was completely accessible to us throughout our stay and always friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay at this Villa and we look forward to returning again someday. We will highly recommend it to all our friends. Grazie Mille Paolo!

  My family had a wonderful and memorable stay at the Villa Mesco on the Sea in the beginning of this August. The house itself is very charming, roomy, comfortable and has a beautiful yard full of olive trees. There are 3 1/2 bathrooms in the house and quite adequate for our party of 10. The half bath up on the 2nd floor is not quite up-to-date but functional nevertheless. The best part about the house is the million-dollar ocean view from the patio where we ate breakfast every morning and drank wine/grappa every night. Even though the house also has a small pool to the far end of the yard, we never used it for the water is not heated and does get cold at night. During the day we would either go to the beach to enjoy the ocean or hike between villages in Cinque Terre. The house has a small but full kitchen. However we opted to eat out everyday to enjoy the excellent sea food the local restaurants have to offer. We were not disappointed. We also enjoyed the walk up and down (about 10 minutes or so each way) to the village and back each day. It is quite steep at some places but not very difficult. The owners, Paolo and his charming French wife, are just a pleasure to meet. They were very hospitable and helpful. I requested internet access and Paolo provided me with a mobile internet key which can only be used by one computer at a time. In conclusion, we love this house and the location of the house. We would definitely recommend it to everyone. We will also definitely come back and stay here again.

We spent a nice evening on my terrace with jim drinking a good tisana in front of the sea I consider jim and his family not a client but friends .
