I was impressed with the size of the house and how many it was able to sleep comfortably. And the inside was very clean. The outside covered area was fantastic, as was the fire pit and porch area. All we had to do was wipe down a few things and we were good to go when we got there.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We took 15 kids for a fun time at this house. They loved it. Parents of some of the kids have already called me about renting it for themselves. The boys all want to come back in the summer for 3 or 4 nights. The firepit area is perfect for hanging out together. The fact that the house sleeps 20 was awesome!! The view of the river is beautiful!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a fine time at the house. There were plenty of things to do at the house, in, out, or near the water. We had 5 kids ~2 years old in our group, and there were as many things for them to do as for the adults. That was really nice. We had a great time and we expect to be back there, again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This property was just amazing, the owners have done such a great job of making a fun environment for all age groups here. Even at night, flick a switch and this place lights up with neon lights and is simply amazing! Really something to see but relaxing on that beach and watching the sunset was the best stress reliever i have had in a long time. The outdoor sports bar area was a big hit too, along with the tiki hut, and that endless sand beach that runs along the property. As far as the river, you can undock your boats/seadoos right by the house which is really convenient. From that point on get ready because you will be in shock at how amazing the water is here, out of all the lakes/rivers i have been to this 5-6 mile stretch of water is hands down the best water i have experienced. There can be 20mph winds and its still glass there!!!!!! If you are a watersports enthusiast you have to come here plain and simple. From Seadoos, to wakeboarding, wake chairs, innertubes, etc. This property is situated at an absolute prime spot on this stretch of water too. If you are planning on staying at Tin Top then you better get this reserved because there is no other place here to rent on the water. As far as people complaining about dust, you make me laugh. Go stay at a hotel on waterfront if you want a spotless lake retreat. The place was not dirty at all... As far as Kathy, she was great! I can't thank her enough for her sharing this awesome property. Thank you again, will be back soon...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at this river house. Overall we had a wonderful time. The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 living areas so there is PLENTY of space for everyone to spread out. The outdoor space was great as well. Lots of tables to eat at and seating everywhere you turn! In our group there were 6 adults & 10 kids (6mo - 8 yrs) and we had plenty of space. The beach access was really wonderful for our little ones to be able to play safely in the water. The outdoor kitchen and bathroom were so handy! And the outdoor shower was too when returning from the beach all sandy! Thanks for providing so many beach towels, chairs, extra sheets, etc!!! Both the kids and adults "wowed" over all the lights at night. What fun! The only cons I could see were 1) The kitchen is very small for a house that accommodates so many people. 2) The dishwasher was broken which made the kitchen even smaller having to wash & dry every dish. 3) It seemed like the house had been sitting unused for some time. There were lots of dead bugs around and all the dishes had to be washed before use. 4) The beach had a lot of debris that had washed up. This could easily be fixed by providing a large rake to clear the debris away. Overall, like I said, the cons are minimal and the pros totally outweigh them. These are just a few remarks I had that can hopefully help the next renter out! Great house! Great location! Great weekend!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My group went for a weekend on short notice and the owner, Kathy, accommodated all our needs. We were shocked to see how much you get for the price. This house is fantastic for large groups and the outdoor areas had everything you could possibly need. Our group consisted of toddlers to the middle aged and we were never bored. And at night, after the neons are lit up, the place looks like a discotheque! Everyone there was checking out the availability for future visits. I highly recommend this house for outdoorsy adventurist. Did I mention the giant sand beach?Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

House was roomy, lots for everyone to do. We woke-up first morning to see steam coming off the river outside and icicles forming on the overhangs- very pretty! We saw blue herons and deer. It was very relaxing. Our only request is that the dishwasher gets fixed, washing dishes took away from truly relaxing. We would recommend to friends. Thanks for a great week-end.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

WOULD NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY! My family stayed here last month, and the place was DIRTY! Dust everywhere, stained sheets, and used towels in one of the bathrooms. We had to wash the sheets and clean the oven just to sleep and cook. What is the cleaning fee for?!! Major construction problem (not the owner's fault) going on next door meant bulldozers, etc. starting early in the morning. And to top it off, I had to track down the owner after two weeks to request my deposit refund because she "forgot". NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE OVERALL!Owner response: After seeing this review I looked into the cleaning and think we did have a miscommunication and the house was not cleaned for Brandi. But, she never complained to us or gave us an opportunity to refund her cleaning fee or make it right is any way. That being said our house is a rustic lake house, no matter how much you clean there is dust and a bug or two. If you can ignore that it is the funnest place ever. If you are as high maintenance as Brandi please DO NOT rent my house it is not for you!
