I had selected Memphis as my 40th birthday destination. My parents also flew to meet us, and we had a great time! What a city rich in history, music and art, not to mention fun! The townhome is in a great location for walking to see it all! Easy walk to Beale St. and to the Civil Rights Museum. We parked the car and didn't move it again for three days until we drove out to Graceland. Easy to get the trolley on S. Main (the townhome is right in the middle of two stops - the Civil Rights Museum or MLK Ave). $1 to hop on, or buy a day pass for $3.50 from the operator. The Riverfront Loop, which goes in a complete circle from Main Street to the waterfront, allows you to sit back, see what is in the area and get your bearings. One half block from the townhome is Frank's Market - great sandwiches and grocery staples. Right next door to Frank's is the Green Beetle. Great alternative if you need a night off from the action of Beale St. They have music, food (visit their website for menu and entertainment schedule). We loved this tavern! Lots of neighborhood folks were there and were so friendly to us. Happy to share details of their city and had great tips and info. Also had a super meal at the Oyster House which is nearby on S. Main. The townhome is in a location undergoing revitalization, so don't be scared off by the original approach upon your arrival. You'll find the townhome comfortable and safe with gated parking. The home is immaculate, beautifully decorated and has everything you need for your vacation. We enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop in the evenings and if we needed anything from the owners, they responded right away. The Hollywood Disco across the street was WILD on Sat. night, but we found it a bit entertaining, knowing that people were there to simply have fun and were certainly enjoying themselves. The bedroom with the queen bed is at the back of the home, and therefore more quiet. My parents used this room and found it great for sleeping. My son slept in the "futon room" off the end of the master bath, and was very comfortable. We also slept well in the master bedroom, and the bathroom...fabulous! On Sat. night, we simply turned up the white noise machine that the owner has provided on the bedside table. We would rent here again in a heartbeat and are taking great memories from this trip home with us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad that your family and you had such a good time in Memphis celebrating your birthday. We are also pleased that staying in our downtown condo played a part of that. We hope you will return to stay with us in the future!

The townhome was excellent, had everything we needed but a toaster!! The rooms were all very nice and the townhome was very comfortable. We were very close to everything downtown and really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely rent this townhome again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay and are sorry a toaster was not available. There was always one there, and I was not aware it had recently disappeared. It has been replaced. Sorry for the inconvenience but glad you enjoyed your trip!

booked this place for 6 adults needing something in walking distance of Beale St. overall very pleased with place, good location, very clean and well maintained, easy to work with owner, locked garage for vehicle, internet tv all good. Felt plenty safe in this area and mid town train was just steps away. The negatives were i would not recommend it for six adults but four adults with children would be no problem. The only other issue would be street noise in early AM, if you need peace and quiet and you are not an early riser this may be an issue as early morning street cleaners truck traffic and train runs can be an issue.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Went down to visit family and this was the perfect place to be. What you see in these pictures is what you see when you walk in the door. The place was clean and very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and everything was there that we needed. It was within walking distance of many attractions and easy to get where ever you couldn't walk to. Will definitely recommend this place for the rest of the family and stay again if we make it down. Much better then a hotel. Had several discussions with the Travis due to cable issues, but by the next day it was fixed, but we were not down there to watch TV. Thanks Travis for all you help and for a great place to stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful place to stay! The townhome exceeded all our expectations. It was very tastefully decorated, comfortable, and well furnished and well kept. We were in town for a week for the International Blues Challenge and were just a short walk from all the action down on Beale Street as well as many other great attractions. Many other restaurants, shops and sites were just a short walk or trolley ride away. Can't thank the owners enough for providing such a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. Would definitely recommend this as the perfect place to stay in Memphis!!! We had such a great time and felt so at home that we didn't want to leave! Thanks for the awesome hospitality!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We stayed in this great house while working in Memphis for two weeks. Close (but not too close) to lots of great bars and restaurants on Beale St and Main Street. All the excitement without all the noise and crowds. The trolley stops just a block away. The beds were very comfortable and the furnishings are really well taken care of and stylish.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the townhouse. There were 4 adult males in our party and there was enough room for us all to sleep seperately and comfortably. Its clean , modern and very well equipped. Location wise, its about 5 minutes walk to Beale St and Downtown and is literally on the corner of South Main Street which is steeped in history for tourists like us! Civil War museum, Blues Foundation, Ernestines and Hazells (dive Bar where Stones reputedley wrote Jumpin Jack Flash and Brown Sugar), The Green Beetle (oldest bar in Memphis and Hank Williams Hang out) and the cafe where Elvis loved to eat breakfast are all around the corner!! Recommended totally!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Stayed at this property with a couple friends in early November, it was very comfortable and well maintained. The location really cannot be beat and we were able to explore many neighborhoods nearby due to the central location. Would definately stay here again if in the Memphis area.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Can't say enough about the accommodations and amenities this townhouse provides, but even more impressive is the location to all that Memphis has to offer. Five sisters in Memphis to celebrate a 50th birthday couldn't have felt safer or more comfortable traversing the city on foot or by car. The townhouse was close and within walking distance to Beale Street, trolley service and downtown restaurants and hotels. Highly recommend - you won't be sorry.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing.

Perfectly situated townhouse...super secure...and walkable to so much. A must see is the Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel. (we learned they are about to close for a big renovation though) And GREAT BBQ at the new location for Central BBQ is right around the corner from the museum. Quick walk to Beale, Gibson Guitar tour, Rock and Soul Museum and so much more. The historic trolley line is right around the corner. For a buck, we rode up to the Cannon Center and saw Booker T and the Stax Review. Also, don't forget, if you're there on a Sunday, to see if Al Green is preaching at his church. We lucked out, he was in town and it was unforgettable. (it's not far from Graceland) The townhouse is spacious, tastefully decorated and pretty much tricked out with many small luxuries. I love historic hotels and had considered the Peabody, but for less money, free secure parking, tons of privacy and the ability to really spread out...I vote for the townhouse. You won't be disappointed. Thanks so much for offering up this luxurious alternative Jean! We had a fantastic time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

AS the title say, lovely house in perfect condition adn decoration with a whole lot of extras from the surround sound to the roof top balcony.Locatin is more than excellent ...no more than a 15 min walk ( or 23 minutes on the trolley) in one direction finds you on Beale yet same distance the other way brings you to a host of great restaurants, a real old school diner ( the Arcade) and a classic American dive bar (Ernestine & Hazels)...the last 2 even featured in the movie Mystery Train. Add in Gus's Fried Chicken (5 min walk) and Franks groceries , beer and deadly deli counter as well as the The Green Beetle bar/diner directly across the road and it's pretty much got everything you need for 3 or 4 nights stay.Didn,t have any problems with road noise and thankfully the Hollywood disco didn,t seem to be open when we were ther (tues -Friday) so can only recommend this for any length stay in Memphis.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Townhome was very clean and comfortable and well maintained. Owner was very helpful & answered all of my questions. THe location is very close to attractions on Beale Street & a nice drive to the casinos in Tunica, Mississippi. The only bad thing about it was the road noise, more noticeable in the master bedroom.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed your stay and sorry there was some outside noise. Our Townhouse is in the heart of the Entertainment district and located close to the trolly line so there may be occassional noise. There is a sound machine (white noise) in the Master Bedroom and we have found it very effective when we have stayed there occassionally and have sometimes heard outside noise. The trolley line stops at midnight and is about 75 yards away on Main. In over two years and many visitors this is the only mention we have had of noise so it must have been an isolated occurance.

I wrote my review when we stayed here, but I want to add a post script- my daughter left a sketch in the condo and asked me to write the owners about it. At first, it appeared lost, but they found it 6 months later AND TOOK THE TIME TO TRACK ME DOWN. This was above and beyond in my book. They went out of the way to mail it to me and I am so grateful. You don't get owners link this every day. Thank you!Owner response: So glad we came up with it! I know it was a special time you spent in Memphis for your daughter's graduation and this was a small momento that she wanted to keep!

Very clean and well stocked. Location was great and felt very safe. We rented for graduation and it was great to have a place the family could gather that wasn't a hotel lobby. The one thing to think about is that you are in the heart of Memphis and it is very loud. You hear the trolley and the bars until the wee hours. I think the owners have done what they can about that and the second bedroom is quieter than the master. There are great restaurants around the area and you really can walk to everything. Owners have kept the condo up and it doesn't feel at all like a "rental".Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I rented the property to celebrate New Years Eve in Memphis with several of my friends. The property was every bit of what is advertised on the web. The home was immaculate...clean...stocked with all the basics of home and some. The location to the entertainment district was just a short walk away and non-security was not an issue. Privacy of the location was just what we wanted. The weather was great for a rooftop dinner. We are looking forward to another trip to Memphis with renting this townhome again. Thanks to the homeowners for providing such a WONDERFUL venue in the Memphis area!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your experience in our Memphis townhome! It is in a great location for enjoying all the wonderful entertainment and dining in downtown Memphis. Your group left it in excellent condition and we appreciate that! Please come back and stay with us; we are in the process of purchasing a queen sleeper sofa for the downstairs so that we can accommodate groups more comfortably.

My husand and I stayed 6 nights in this condo and enjoyed every single minute of it!! The pictures really do not do it justice, it is even lovlier and more inviting than can be captured by a camera. Each and every room is very tastefully decorated, with comfort as well as design flair in mind. Everything guests could possibly need or want is provided. It is wonderfully clean, bright and well-maintained. The off-street parking behind a security gate and accessible from the secure garage is a wonderful plus. We didn't use the car much, however; everything we had on our "to-see" list was within walking distance, except for Graceland. We will definitely be back to Memphis again; there is so much history and fun just waiting for us! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Memphis, including you who are reading this review! Thanks, Travis and Jeanne, for being so responsive to all the questions I asked before booking and here's wishing y'all the best! There was 4 of us that stayed in this home and it was very spacious and comfortable. Easy walking to most of the places we visited. Civil Rights Museum, Gibson Guitar factory, and of course Beale Street. The trolley is close by which was useful for our trip to Sun Records. We happened to be in Memphis for the Southern Heritage Classic weekend. It was super busy on Beale Street that weekend and also very noisy around the area. There is a nightclub that is across the street and we only had issues with the noise on the Saturday night. The rooftop patio is great for soaking up some sun and having a glass of wine. A couple of days were too hot to enjoy it but we made the most of it. Great places to eat around here as well. The Arcade for breakfast is a good spot to eat and to see where Elvis used to sit when he ate there. The Green Beetle is another gem that is just a block away. Great food and make sure you bring your appetite. Home of the 12 layer lasagna. Would definitely recommend this home for your vacation stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The townhome was gorgeous--even better than the pictures. I was a little apprehensive after seeing Google map pictures of the surrounding area, and reading safety info about Memphis on the internet, but once we got there, nothing at all made us nervous about the area. Very secure house, very well lit neighborhood, friendly people. Short walk to the Mississippi river for gorgeous sunsets, and close to Beale street for daily and nightly visits. LOTS of good restaurants and music to choose from. The corner store a half block away was great for getting snacks and other things--we visited them each day at least once. The disco across the street was a little loud on Thursday night, and we were kind of glad that we weren't staying the weekend, but a good noisy fan in the bedrooms masked the noise well enough to get to sleep. We would ABSOLUTELY recommend this rental to anyone, especially adult groups who enjoy music, dining, and learning about music history.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Staying in the town house was absolutely wonderful! It was great that all thr linens, paper products and soaps were provided so we didn't have to go out and buy all of it. The best part was that we were so close to everything in downtown and when we were ready to relax the kids had plenty of room to move and play at the townhouse as apposed to in a hotel room. I can't say anything bad about this place. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable, secure and fun to hang out at! The rooftop balcony was cool too. We left from St. Louis, MO and went down to Memphis from May 20th - 22nd for my bachelor party .. Me and the guys would have to say that we probably had the most fun we have ever had . I thought Memphis in May was a whole month ordeal and found out it wasn't and was very worried especially with all the flooding that was happening too ! Definitely nothing to worry about it was packed . The place is fantastic and very well kept . It went beyond all of our expectations . I really liked the little bedroom in the back of the master bathroom , that's where I slept .It is a perfect walk down to Beale Street and there's a lot going on around ya at all times .. Were all excited to come back at least once a year .Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

My husband and I stayed at this condo with 2 other couples over the weekend of the Beale Street Music Festival this year. We had a great time! The condo was very nice, clean, and spacious. It was also in easy walking distance to Beale Street, and Tom Lee Park, among other things. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Travis and Jean, and they are great! They also provided us with a lot of information about Memphis prior to our trip. One piece of advice...bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, as it does get loud on the street in front of the condo, because of the bar/club that's across the street. It may have been louder than normal the weekend we were there, but we could hear a lot of noise (there is a white noise machine in the master bedroom, though). The best place to be to avoid the noise is in the sleeping area in the master closet of the guest room (which looked like a cozy little area, our friends enjoyed it). Overall, we had a great time, loved the condo, and I hope we are able to stay here again on our next trip to Memphis!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Absolutely beautiful, comfortable and wonderfully well-equipped. We had absolutely perfect weather, and we enjoyed having coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening so much up on the rooftop patio that it was hard to drag ourselves away to do anything else! And the location was so convenient. We could walk to virtually everything (although the first afternoon we were there we took a wrong turn and ended up in a bad section, but a very nice toothless black lady insisted on escorting us back to the room!). Caught the free shuttle at the Rock and Soul Museum to Graceland and Sun Studio. We loved jogging in the park and being able to walk down to Beale Street. Neat little grocery and deli with very nice people less than a block away. There's still so much we want to see and do, we'll definitely be coming back!!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This place was awesome. All the reviews are accurate. We did not rent a car - just walked and took the trolley if required. Everything is so close - Gibson, Beale Street, MLK museum, Riverwalk Rock & Soul museum. We even hoofed it out to Sun Studios but caught the free shuttle back :). The townhome is exactly as pictured and the rooftop deck was super. There was an outage on the Internet service listed while we stayed but that was it. Would definitely recommend!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

With the owners'permission, seven of us stayed here for the International Blues Challenge. We had a blast even though winter raged . We, seven women, have alot of history traveling together. That was helpful as sleeping space was limited. But, we loved the house, the accomodating decor, the access to Beale St., and everyone we met in Memphis.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Easy walk to just about anything downtown -- we never even needed a car. We walked most of the time, but also used the trolley a few times (stop is 2 blocks) for Rendezvous Ribs and Alcenia's (both get high marks for delicious food), the bus once (stop was one block away) to get to Interstate BBQ, and took a cab to Central BBQ (Best we had). Very short walk to Beale Street, Arcade, Gibson Guitar and art district. Nice decor, spacious living area, nice rooftop deck. Stairs were no problem for us, but need to be considered if your knees are bad. Bar across the street got a bit loud Friday, but didn't really disturb us -- wore earplugs and used the white noise machine and slept just fine.Very comfortable for two couples -- we would definitely stay again. we recommend it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

7 of us rented this condo for a weekend to attend a wedding. It was perfect! There was plenty of space for everyone. The couch was comfortable. The kitchen had a coffee maker, coffee, coffee fixin's and microwave popcorn. Plenty of sheets, blankets, towels and bathroom amenities were provided. There's a garage and street parking. Beale St is an easy 3 block walk, but the Trolley comes by every 10 min if you're not in the walking mood. The alarm system was a little tricky and we couldn't figure out how to make the speakers on the rooftop deck work, but those were just minor. Overall it was a great time and we would def stay again if we're ever back in the Memphis area!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We chose this condo for a family vacation for my dad’s 60th birthday. It was perfect! Location is ideal for walking downtown. Parking is effortless. The keyless entry is a definite a plus. Would recommend it! Note: child gates a must if traveling with children.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My husand and I and another couple recently stayed at this townhome. It was wonderful! Perfect location, very close to Beale Street, and the trolley. We parked when we arrived and didn't move the car until it was time to return home. The home was very clean, beautifully furnished and very well maintained. We definitely felt like we were "home" away from home. We had a great time on our "mini vacation" and would definitely recommend this home for your visit. The owners were very accommodating.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Family and friends meet in Memphis every five years and I usually stay at a Hotel near Beale St. This time five adult members of my family and a toddler stayed in this Townhome, It worked out great. Easy walking to the Trolley and Beale St. Back bedroom was very quiet and front room was fine, just minor street sounds. Front door has a electronic key pad which let people go out and not have to coordinate who has the keys. I have used vacation rentals a few times in the past when we have a family get-together and this Townhome has convinced me it is the best way to go. In five years I intend on staying here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Some friends and I had a little mini reunion in Memphis...stayed in this wonderful townhouse and all I can say is "Location, Location, Location!!!". In addition to being a few minutes walk from the world famous Beale Street, this property is located next to some of the trendiest restaurants that downtown Memphis has to offer---and you can walk to it all! The house itself was in great condition and the owners were very accomodating and helpful. I would highly recommend this property to anybody who is looking to have a memorable time in Memphis.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Our group wanted to find accomodations that would be convenient and walkable to the riverfront area and downtown Memphis. We couldn't have found a better place! The townhouse is very nice inside, clean and comfortable. We loved the roof deck. The owners were nice and helpful, and the neighbors were friendly. We walked down to the riverfront for the BBQ Cooking Contest, up to Beale street, and out to local restaurants. Everything you might need is right at your fingertips. We barely used our car except to pick up groceries. Would definitely recommend and will plan to stay here again on future trips to Memphis.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This is an outstanding home that's incredibly well located. It's spacious, has a terrific set of kitchen equipment and there's music in every room. We had drinks on the roof terrace and incredible barbecued sandwiches from the shop just over the road. We were so close to town that we walked to Beale St every evening. And the owner gave us an enormous amount of personal advice and suggestions for the town. I'd definitely stay here again and I can't recommned it enough.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
