Positives and negatives
Positives and negatives
Positives: Plenty of room---there were three couples and two teen-age young ladies who stayed in this home and it was plenty roomy with a small "den" off the kitchen and separate from the larger living area. A problem we had with a/c was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. Rental is within walking distance of main shops, restaurants and marina of Ephraim. Negatives: We "rented" bed linens and were surprised that beds were not made when we arrived, VERY tired after a long trip. This made the note suggesting we strip the beds before departing a bit ironic!! Directions for using a/c were incomplete and confusing (thus the call the to the property manager . . .). House is VERY outdated and in need of upkeep and remodeling. For example, windows were very dirty, as if property had been vacant for a long time. The sandy beach mentioned in property description is very small and water there is not conducive to wading/wimming---very marshy. This was a disappointment to the two teen-agers. Also, description states that one set of twins in located in "lower level"---be aware that this area is a small basement area.

Recommended for: Girls getaway.
Owner response: This home is very popular and viewed very favorably by renters again and again. First, the contract clearly states when ordering bedding the beds are not made. Second, the request to strip the beds is posted as appreciated but not required. Third, the house is not represented as a brand new home. It is tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable for vacationers. Keeping windows clean is a constant problem on the water and the amount of rain we have had this year has contributed to this ongoing concern. Fourth, the beach claims are totally out of the owners control. The water levels continue to drop creating an ever changing environment at the shore. There is a public beach a short walk from the house. Fifth, after working in real estate a finished room in a lower level is not called the basement. The basement is the furnace room etc. The state has inspected this home and approved for renting. I have had renter after renter enthusiastically love this house.
Our Sister Bay Fall Fest getaway weekend was perfect, because of this home! The moment we arrived, we were pleased with how clean the house was. The 4 bedrooms, allowed for plenty of space for all of us, the dining room table was wonderful for dinners and night time card games. The front living room and the million dollar view was the perfect setting for morning coffee and visits. The kitchen, including the refrigerator and stove allows us to make wonderful meals! I would definatly reccommend this home for a week or weekend vacation !!!!

Perfect View and Location
Perfect View and Location
What a beautiful house in a perfect location. We have been to Ephraim many times before and this property fit our needs perfectly. You could not ask for a better view or location! The house was clean when we arrived and the manager was extremely helpful. Make sure you go to Fred and Fuzzy's in Sister Bay great food and wonderful sunsets.

This house has exceeded our expectations in every way! We are in Door County for the first time and feel like we just lucked out finding this home for us and our four children's vacation. Ephraim is the quint-essential small town. From this house you can WALK to the coffee house, get an amazing egg burrito for breakfast, an ice cream at Wilson's, rent a boat, spend a day at the town beach, watch the sunset, go to the library, catch a fish boil, take the kids to the town playground, or shop at the galleries.. It IS the perfect location to enjoy not only Ephraim, but all of Door County! The house is charming, well decorated, spacious, clean and has windows that line the front for a view of Eagle Harbor from every room. I will mention that it was hot upstairs with no AC on second floor, but that was in August and may not be an issue for most. Take the opportunity to enjoy this house while it is still being rented!
