Villa Mimosa is an elegant stone built house located in the picturesque community of Mali Ston, a fortified medieval town just 40 minutes drive from Dubrovnik and less than an hour from Dubrovnik airport. With the help of local architects and craftsmen this exclusive villa has been tastefully renovated to create luxury accommodation for six to eight people. The villa stands in a beautifully landscaped garden of 800 square metres. The garden rises in terraces offering a variety of secluded areas for relaxing and sun bathing, and incorporates a swimming pool, 9 metres x 4.5 metres, sun bathing terraces, a shady terrace under a pergola and a barbecue area.
The villa is situated about 100 metres from the water’s edge in an elevated position with views to the sea and across the town and the castle walls. Within only a few minutes walk of local restaurants the villa is in a secluded and quiet location well away from the sound of traffic. The villa sleeps six in three rooms (two double one twin) with the possibility of sleeping a seventh person on a fold out bed in the main bedroom or two extras on a bed-settee in the lounge. Interior furnishings are to the highest standard.

We had a wonderful time here in this delightful villa. It is a real home from home , very tastefully and comfortable furnished with great attention to detail. It is well located in a pretty very unspoilt village access to the surrounding area is easy. If you have a boat driving license then mooring about in nearby Ston is ideal and the exploration potential on the water is amazing. Some of the best we have ever experienced.

This was an exceptional property away from Dubrovnik but easily accessible by car or bus. It lacked nothing in amenities and was a very short walk from a beach and excellent restaurants. It is as beautiful as the picture and a place I would return to anytime! All 6 of us had space, comfort and a great time!

About the owner: I am Croatian but live in the UK. My family love Croatia and on our many family holidays in Croatia we scoured the country for the most beautiful place to buy a vacation home. When we discovered Mali Ston we knew we had to buy a house in this enchanting place, surrounded by 15th century walls and a castle and with a small harbor for local fishing boats. We found a elegant old stone house that had been divided in two but stood in a large garden. We bought the half that was for sale and six months later managed to buy the other half. We spend over two years renovating the house and landscaping the garden; we imported furniture from the UK, France, Spain and Italy to create our dream home.
Why the Owner Chose Mali Ston:
Mali Ston itself is just magical but it is also ideally located for visiting many fascinating places. Just 40 m minutes down the stunning coast road is Dubrovnik, rightly described as "the pearl of the Adriatic". Just 10 minutes from Mali Ston is the ferry to the island of Mljet whilst a drive up the Peljesac peninsula and another short ferry ride takes you to the island of Korcula. Inland from Mali Ston the historic town of Mostar with its iconic bridge is within easy reach. The many small islands can be reached by hiring a boat (with a skipper if you are not appropriately qualified).
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
When we stay at Villa Mimosa we enjoy total relaxation, sunshine, swimming in the pool and in the sea; visiting different beaches (some of the best sandy beaches in Croatia are within a short drive of the villa). We spoil ourselves by visiting the many excellent restaurants in the area. A favorite outing is to a waterside restaurant in the tiny community of Kobas which can only be reached by boat. The restaurant owner will come and pick you up and return you at the end of the evening. We enjoy walking the historic walls of Ston and Mali Ston and visiting local wineries where you can sample some of Croatia's finest wines.
