Our Beach Home apartment is the perfect place to escape and unwind. If you are after a relaxing holiday where you can get away from it all, then this is the holiday destination for you. All you will need is a swimming costume and some casual clothes. You can lie by our private plunge pool or swim in the brand new resort pool. The covered patio is the perfect private spot to sit back and read or enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the surf.
If you are after some action you can head down to the beach, a 60 second stroll away and go surfing , swimming, kayaking or kite surfing. The beach is around 6 km long and it takes a good hour to walk the length one way. It is carpeted with thousands of interesting shells and baby crabs scuttle underfoot burrowing into millions of little sandy holes. Dolphins play in the waves and fish flash through the blue-green water.
Minutes away is the Township of 1770 where you can catch a chartered boat out to The Great Barrier Reef a World Heritage Site. Here you can marvel at the spectacular coral and the rainbow coloured reef fish, either from a glass bottom boat or by snorkeling and diving in amongst the marine life.
Agnes Water is a unique town unspoiled by tourists and masses of holiday makers. It still enjoys the luxury of being relatively undiscovered and now is the perfect time to visit. It boasts enough amenities to cater for the holiday maker, while maintaining that small village feel.
Kahunas is our restaurant of choice right on site in the resort. Casual family dining at its best can be found here and we recommend their famous Reef and Beef, eye fillet or rump steak with prawns!
Agnes Water is 1 hour 15 mins. from Bundaberg Airport, 3 hours from Hervey Bay Airport (Fraser Coast) and 5 hours north of Brisbane.

Why the Owner Chose 1770Agnes Water is unique in that it has not been invaded by major development. It still retains a charm of years gone by with the feel of the holiday places you used to go when you were a child. Uncomplicated, unspoilt and relaxed. The beach is never crowded even when an occasional annual surfing event is held. There is enough space for everyone to spread out. Surfers can enjoy a wave in peace, anywhere along this 6 km stretch of beach. Walkers, with their heads down are treated to some marvelous marine life. There are an array of shells, some elaborately patterned others china white resembling slivers of fingernails. It is place where you can smell the salt air and breathe deeply. Heaven.
The Unique Benefits at this ApartmentOur Beach Home No 12 has its own private lap pool which is wonderful to fall into when you return from the beach. We are ideally situated at the end of the resort ensuring privacy. Our apartment always has a cooling breeze flowing through the rooms. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are at the rear of the Beach Home and separated from the living area by a large covered outdoor room. This means everyone has their own space. Our Beach Home can be rented as a one, two or three bedroom. The local shops are only minutes away and we often find ourselves, buying food and staying at home, throwing fresh fish and juicy steaks on our BBQ. We sit back, open a red and love not having to drive anywhere!
Beach Home No 12 is 60 seconds from the north facing beach of Agnes Water. This is the last surfing beach before the start of the Great Barrier Reef on Queensland's Discovery Coast.

Our family of 6 has been enjoying Beach Home No 12 since 2005. We look forward to our Agnes Getaways. As we drive over the hill into the Township of Agnes Water we compete to see who can catch the first glimpse of the blue ocean. We joke that we can all physically feel our shoulders drop when spy the horizon as we know our holiday is underway. For some that means reading a pile of novels while sipping a white wine on the patio. Others look forward to surfing, swimming, kite surfing and kayaking in the waves. Then there is golf, walking, cycling and playing beach cricket. Of course snorkeling, boating and diving on the reef always feature. Watching the sunset, while having a beer at 'The Tree" around at 1770 is always a highlight. There is something for everyone!

Our 4th stay in this lovely Beach Home. A very relaxing week spent lying by the resort pool, walking along the beach and enjoying the ambience at Kahunas Restaurant. We also enjoyed a round of golf sharing the course with a few watchful kangaroos. It is wonderful to find a holiday location where we can relax and avoid the crowds. Cannot wait to return.
