Just 400 steps to one of the cleanest, quietest, least-known beaches on the eastern seaboard. Walk four beach miles without seeing a building. House backs up directly to the forest of the Huntington Beach State Park. Park offers bird watching, alligators, crabbing, etc. Brookgreen Gardens offers river boat rides, small zoo, botanical gardens, sculpture collection, and scheduled cultural activities. It's about 90 minutes to downtown Charleston for fine shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
The house is just eight years old, fully furnished. Four bedrooms configured as follows (during summer): master with king, one bedroom with two twin beds, two additional bedrooms each with queen.At other times of the year, this house rents as a three bedroom, three bath home, with corresponding reduction in rates (see rate info). House features sun deck, two screened porches, Air Conditioning and ceiling fans in all rooms and on porches. Small library collection. Parking for four cars under the house. Gas and charcoal grills. Bookstore, liquor store, supermarkets, along with fine and casual dining nearby. Approximately 80 golf courses to choose from. For those so inclined Myrtle Beach offers show extravaganzas, kiddie theme parks, and minor league baseball in a beautiful setting.
Our vacation house is best suited for families seeking a quiet get-away but with plenty to do and a terrific place to just sit on the beach with books and watch the waves, osprey, and dolphins!
