  We were very comfortable in this peaceful cottage for a week in April. While it was hot everywhere else, it was nice and cool on the deck with a lovely lake breeze. The deck is fantastic! The cottage was exceptionally well-equipped with everything you could need for a nice stay (even skewers for grilling!). It was very clean and is well-maintained. The owners are very responsive to questions which is reassuring when renting from far away. Ocala and the Villages are nearby and Gator Joe's (5-minute walk) is great for a cold beer and a great burger. There are ducks that come to visit and we also had a sandhill crane stop by. I would definitely stay at this lovely property again.

  We truly enjoyed our stay at the Lake House. We had everything anyone could want or need. BBQ, Oven, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, Coffee Pot, Laundry facilities. 2 nice bedrooms and other sleeping areas. A fantastic deck with a great hammock. A white sandy beach and firepit. We had dinner on the deck almost every night and enjoyed the view. We took kayaks out on the lake a few times and walked to dinner at Gator Joes. And we couldn't ask for nicer people to rent from. Only wish that we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this property.

  My husband & I stayed at the lake house the month of January 2012. I agree with all that has been said about the house. It's well stocked, clean, well maintained and such a beautiful setting. Wonderful sunsets are visible from inside the house. So peaceful, it's a great place to unwind. We love to hike and found some excellent hiking trails in the state parks nearby. There are also some premier bicycling trails within a reasonable driving distance. It was such fun to explore the area and find the local flea markets and popular restaurants. We both have fond memories of this place and often reminisce about our stay here. A big thumbs up to Suzanne and her family for keeping this place so well preserved, it's truly a treasure.

  We stayed a week at the lake house in December. The house was very clean and offered everything that we could need. The weather was lovely and we BBQed on the back deck. The sandy beach and great oak trees draped with moss could not have been more picturesque. Near by we went horseback riding in Ocala and fishing although we didn't catch anything from shore. A short walk a couple of houses down is a bar and grill with a nice view of the sunsets. Suzanne checked in to make sure that everything was fine. I wish we could have stayed another week!

  We stayed in this cottage during January 2011 during some of the coldest weather on record for the area. Yet, it was just wonderful! I can't begin to describe how "cozy" and "warm" the surroundings are. Suzanne is such a personable, delightful woman. Helpful in every way.   I have been going to Lake Weir for about 30 years. My husband and I stayed at this lakehouse for the first time this summer. We found it everything and more than we wanted it to be. Besides being very clean and maintained it had anything that you would need. It was on a very quite street. When the ad said just bring your clothes and toothbrush it was right. Lake Weir is such a beautiful lake and we had the most relaxing time ever. Our grandchildren and children came for an overnight stay and it was more than enough sleeping room. I cant wait to go back and stay. The owners were very kind and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone that would like a nice restful vacation.

  This is an extremely restful vacation spot for one person who wants a quiet relaxing break from a busy world, for a couple looking for a romantic weekend get-away, or for a fun, week-long activity-filled family vacation spot. It's located on a very quiet peaceful street without city traffic noises, yet it's close to several major attractions. My husband and I have stayed several times and enjoy boating on the lake as well as sitting on the dock feeding the ducks while watching the sunrise or sunset. There are many good restaurants within walking distance or a short drive, with public parks and boat launching nearby. The long sandy beachfront at this cottage provides plenty of play area for children, and the gentle slope to the water gives even the youngest child ample splashing or digging space. There are umbrella tables near the water for your reading or picnicing enjoyment. Not only is the dock a perfect rest spot, if you prefer to enjoy the water from the shade, the house's huge back porch is a wonderful place to grill, eat and enjoy the water. There's also a huge hammock tucked in the shade. I would give this vacation spot a 10 out of 10 for anyone, no matter how small or large your family, or whatever ages you are. There's truly something for everyone here, and the place is immaculately clean and cozy. It's a place you'll want to return to over and over again.
