  A lovely little place that is accurately described and well furnished as advertised. The owner's instructions were excellent and the apartment well situated for exploring the city. The butcher (on the canal) was excellent and his rabbit sausage really good. The supermarket on Garibaldi (the street at the end of the canal) was well stocked and had an excellent variety of goods. We came by water taxi from the airport as we had a late arrival. It was expensive but worth it as we did not have to drag around large suitcases. Travel tip: When you buy the ticket from the booth at the airport , ask them to pick you up at the same place they leave you. You get 10 euros off, they are very reliable (they came for us at 5:00am!), and the person at the booth spoke excellent English! Highly recommended little apartment; we'd love to come back!

  this apartment is comfortable and everything that is said in the comments and more. We loved the location in a quiet neigborhood with a great pizza place at the end of the street. It was cold but the patio would have been a good addition.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

  My husband and I have just returned from a one week stay at the lovely Casa Clare. We immediately felt comfortable from the moment we stepped inside. This place is fresh and airy with modern touches where they count along with charm and character as well; a perfect balance! The kitchen is well appointed and we had no trouble cooking the odd meal there. The sitting area is very comfortable with a modern couch situated in front of a glorious original brick wall. The dining table is rustic with a solid marble top and all her chairs are adorned with Venetian tassels- I loved that! The queen sized bed had a very good mattress which gave us a good night's sleep. As well, the bathroom seemed newly renovated with very modern fixtures.The side garden was totally charming and private; a real highlight! We found the place easily with Clare's directions and it was never hard to find our way home, at all. I must say the neighbourhood was fantastic. We discovered (with her helpful notes) an amazing deli with, it seems, the best Italy has to offer. An equally superb cheese shop, numerous pastry shops and cafes kept us very well fed! The local restaurants also supplied us with great options on the days we didn't want to go where the tourists were. Two places became our favorites, including one that was just 2 minutes away. I highly recommend this charming flat and intend on returning, hopefully many more times!

  For a great local Venice experience, we recommend Casa Clare. This place is super for singles or couples, with an extra convertible bed also available for children or additional guests. This apartment is in a great local neighbourhood and a short walk from the vaporetto, outdoor markets, and great local restaurants. The property was in excellent condition and we enjoyed breakfast in the garden. The kitchen is cozy for 2 cooks at once, but well-equipped and all the appliances are in good condition. The apartment’s modern renovation was obviously done well and carefully, leaving a comfortable and functional living space. This property provides a great opportunity to experience Venice away from the busy hotels and tourist groups. There are many great shops within a 5-minute walk, including a wine store with 2-euro Prosecco refills (empty bottles were waiting in the apartment!).
