The pictures on line do not even come close to the beauty of this home. It is roomy, comfortable and clean,. I had my sister come for a day and my son another day and there was plenty of room. We had a birthday party with 10 people and there was room for more. The view from the living area as well as from the huge deck outside was spectacular. Waking up in the morning and having my coffee on the deck was the best part. The deck is completely covered so if it rains, no big deal. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and looked at the stars against the backdrop of the Smokey Mountains. The home is supplied with everything you need, so I would recommend you just bring yourselves and enjoy your stay. It is a short distance from town and some of the best restaurants around. There is air conditioning for those unbearable humid days and in the evening just enjoy the windows opened to listen to the music of the katydids and the crickets while you fall asleep. Oh and I can not forget the game room, pool and ping pong was a blast. There was a bar area down stairs next to the game room so keeping well hydrated did not mean a run up the stairs for a drink. I would come back here in a heartbeat! I really did not want to leave! While in the area there is plenty to do.We took the Lake Lure boat tour was amazed at how much history there is to the area. We went zip lining and I was amazed at how much fun it was. Chimney rock park is something not to miss!! Spend a day with nature and enjoy the view. There is an elevator for the ones less adventurous and stairs to climb up for the more adventurous. Have fun and enjoy your get away.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: It was a pleasure meeting you guys. I do hope you come back soon! Also need that receipe of that good tasting beer you guys made. Scott

This was such a beautiful cabin and equally beautiful location. We enjoyed the comfy den and bedrooms. We played pool, ping pong, shot basketballs, and even ventured in the hot-tub. We cooked in the great kitchen and just enjoyed it so much! My husband and daughter basically "kidnapped" me from a very stressful week at work and we just so enjoyed the blessing of the get away. We would love to spend Christmas here, but as hard as times are, we just need to stay home. But we are grateful for the days we had in your BEAUTIFUL homeRecommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks guys for the great review and we do hope you do come back soon.

This is a great house to rent, even if you have a large family! There is plenty of space, lots of extras like the game room and hot tub. The view at night from the hot tub is spectacular! You'll see so many stars against the backdrop of the mountain...utterly amazing! The house was exceptionally clean. The layout of the house made it easy to congregate as a big group or, if you wanted some quiet alone time, be by yourself with a good book. The house provided a lot of activities for kids & adults like checkers, ping-pong, basketball, and billiards. And there were plenty of cozy, comfortable areas to gather and spend quality time with one another. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for some mountain fun!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We had 2 families with small children staying here, and we had a great time! Plenty of room for everyone to have their space. The kids loved the rec room and the kids games. The grown-ups enjoyed the deck with the views. We ate dinner on the deck every night! The cabin is so pretty inside and out.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this cabin for a week. It was very spacious, had a great view from the deck, and was minutes from Lake Lure beach, Chimney Rock, and restaurants, etc. At first I was concerned about the lack of internet service, but it proved to be a true blessing because I was forced to take a REAL break from work and my teenage son and his friend learned that there is life beyond online video games and Facebook!! They loved playing pool, ping pong, board games, and soaking in the hot tub. Away from the house the two things they enjoyed the most were rock climbing at Chimney Rock and wading in the Broad River. They had a blast!! In addition, I cannot say enough about the service provided by the broker, Scott Burrell. He was extremely responsive before and during our stay and is very customer service oriented. In my experience, he went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. stayed 7/9/10-7/11/10 The house was everything as described. We spent the first evening relaxing in the jacuzzi and just playing games. The next day was a visit to Chimney Rock back to the cabin to relax from the morning adventure, then down to the village for and evening of shopping and mini-golf. The morning we left we headed for Asheville to visit Biltmore Estate and then home. We will definitely recommend this cabin to our family and friends. Enjoyed it.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This house is absolutely wonderful. We had the best time. The upstairs is airy and open with a high cathedral ceiling. The deck runs the entire length of the back of the house and the views of the mountains are wonderful. This is house could be in Lake Lure or Chimney Rock. We had the best time driving down to Chimney Rock and shopping in all the many shops. We also enjoyed an afternoon at Chimney Rock Park. We played Putt-Putt and rented a pontoon on Lake Lure. We had a great time exploring the lake. The house was exactly as described in the listing. There are three bedrooms upstairs, a master with a private bath on one side and two bedrooms, one with bunk beds and one with a full size bed on the other side of the huge livingroom. Everything we needed was in the house and the kitchen was well stocked. We had the best time sitting on the back deck reading and relaxing. We went to a play at Flat Rock Play House and we went to Asheville for a day of shopping. This house is centrally located for site seeing in the area. Downstairs there was a great game room with sitting area, ping pong and a pool table. There was also another bedroom and a small livingroom downstairs. I would recommend this house to anyone.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
