Bab's Lake Haven sits on the shores of Payette Lake with views across the lake of the Brundage Mtn. ski runs. We have a cozy beach with an area for bonfires. Our dock is private for the use of our guests only. The sun shines on our dock from about noon until sunset which is around 8:30PM in July. This means plenty of time to enjoy the lake.
Our property consists of two buildings; the original 1930's cabin and a Bunkhouse annex built in the mid 1990's. The Bunkhouse has 4 one bedroom suites that each has a living room with wood-burning fireplace, bedroom with kingsize bed, bathroom, and kitchenette with bar-size refrigerator and microwave. The 2nd floor units each have a loft with additional sleeping.
The original cabin has been modernized somewhat with indoor plumbing, but is still a cabin. It contains a living room with wood-burning stove, dining area, small kitchen, 2 bedrooms with queensize beds and a loft with 3 queen beds reached by steep steps.

We rent the entire complex for reunions in the summer. Call for more particulars and exceptions. Non-prime summer weeks & last minute, we will rent individual units for a minimum of 3 nights.

We love our annual family reunion at this property. There is no dishwasher so disposable items or hand washing is required and when doing three meals a day for a large group it is a task. Children love the beach and dock. Adults love the deck.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

June 29 to Aug 17 .. $6800/week (For Main Cabin and Fourplex Bunkhouse) Prior to June 28 and from Aug.17 until the end of December it is possible to rent indivdual units for a minimum of 3 nights. Call for particulars or with questions.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1935
About the owner: Bab's Lake Haven is owned by the Babcock Trust. Our grandfather built the original cabins. Our parents were married in the living room of the main cabin and spent all vacations at the cabins with their six children. Once we were grown, the need for the Bunkhouse became apparent. Our father passed away over 40 years ago, but our mother at 95 years old, still enjoys having all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren join her there for weiner roasts at the beach.
Why the Owner Chose McCall:
We enjoy a great deal of privacy here because of the buffer provided by the Ponderosa State Park. There is abundant hiking right out your door with the miles of trails in Ponderosa Park.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Being on the East side of the lake, we have the sun on the dock and lake from about noon until sunset which is late in McCall. Properties on the West side of the lake lose the sun on their play area quite early in the day rendering it too cool for swimming.
