Our family (6 adults, 2 children and dog) met up for a weekend get together and were comfortable in sitting in the living room area of this home to visit and play with the kids. The home was extremely clean and we received superb services from the owner. When we arrived we did not find a grill as advertised, but Emilio (the property owner) was quickly accessible by phone and he arranged to have a grill brought to us. We enjoyed a nice meal at the local Barley Creek brewery and some shopping at the outlets. I would recommend this property and can see that it would be great to ski from given its location. I would caution that there are a good deals of steps to enter the home and to get to either level for sleeping. Also the sitting for dinner is on stools so not good for children younger than 4 years old. You couldn't ask for a better person to rent from.Did you find this review helpful? We were five men attending a week-long conference at the nearby Chateau Resort and Conference Center and very much enjoyed our stay here. The listing was "as advertised," well-maintained, clean and the owner, Emilio, a pleasure to do business with inspiring confidence and trust from the beginning which set him apart from the crowd. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bunks, too. The kitchen was also very functional as we did some entertaining and our guests felt very "at home" here in the convivial living room. There's lots nearby, too...Big Pocono State Park was a nice outing with a beautiful view of the surrounding area; food shopping is close by as well as restaurants and though we didn't ski chair lifts are visible from the front porch. Also, as a gated community you can get plenty of peace and quiet here. We will definitely be back if we have the opportunity!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This place is for you! Literally steps away from the mountain side. You can sit on the back deck and listen to the music and noises from Camelbeach! You can't see it from the house - it has a nice amount of trees for its view, but you are that close to the action. House was very clean and the living room was fun to hang out in. We never needed the pull out, so I can't speak to that, but all other beds were good. The owner is VERY accessible. Any questions/concerns he was there, a terrific asset! A few head's up - lots of steps from the car to the unit (I found this to be a blessing, as it was more woodsie) - the second bathroom as a VERY small stall shower. We all used the regular shower in the downstairs bath (which was fine, there were only 4 of us). - The kitchen table would be tight for 6 and maybe not practical for 8 - but once again, we only had 4. - 3rd bedroom is loft style so it overlooks the livingroom. - If you are going in the heat of the summer, it isn't central air and the two bedrooms in the lower level can be a little warm, nothing too bad because they are lower level and you are in the mountains...Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

We were able to relax, enjoy, and really feel good as we vacationed for the first time since our 3 kids arrived! We visited the waterpark (next door!), the local waterfall, the brewery, the outlets, and many other local things! 3 families with kids & what a great place! It's a condo-cabin feel, gated, safe, and the pool for the rental units was nice too. It was clean and roomy. Loved the BBQ grill and I really liked having a nice kitchen so we didn't have to over-spend and there are local stores to shop at for food and groceries (chain stores). This was perfect for us! Also, working with the owner was fast, easy, and he was so nice!!! I am impressed and we will be back for sure!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I have a large family with a wide age range which made this property perfect for us! We were a few short paces away from the slopes. Every morning we grabbed our skis (or snowboards for my teens) walked a few steps to the slope and skied down to the ticket area to buy our tickets for the day. We have a baby so my wife and I were able to take turns watching her between runs! By the afternoon the teens were exhausted for a few hours so after lunch my wife and I could leave our younger kids with them while we had a few runs together. During the week we had the mountain practically to ourselves! and the snow conditions were perfect. I guess noone realizes that there is snow in the poconos!! The house is great! it has a great view from the balcony. The fireplace was a fun backdrop for us as we played board games or watched a movie on the tv way later then we should have! The kitchen is well equiped, although for our large family we did find it useful to bring a large skillet for breakfast, etc... We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
