  Das war eine fantastische woche! Wir waren zu zehnt in einem, für so viele leute, super genialen apartment. Es stimmt einfach alles in dieser riesigen wohnung. Alles mit sehr viel liebe dekoriert von elle, coole frau, die uns jeden wunsch erfüllte. Danke elle! wir kochten fast jeden abend. Die küche ist dafür perfekt eingerichtet. Waschmaschine, trockner, alles vorhanden. Sehr sauberes apartment, einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Der standort ist genial, metro ist nur ein block entfernt. Sehr viele sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu fuss erreichbar. Nur Ein katzensprung zur Brooklyn bridge! Alles in allem, einfach genial! Wir alle können diese lokalität nur weiterempfehlen!

  This apartment is nice, well located. Elle is very nice too. But there are a thing to change: The windows on the street let some wind go inside. So, in the winter, you must increase the heating, if you are near these windoms. In that case, in the three bedrooms which have no window, at the other end of the apartment, it is difficult to take the heat..... It was a warm winter in NYC, said Elle. So, it was not a big problem. But, in case of a cold winter, the situation may be very difficult. In addition, it is very noisy when you sleep in the bedroom with a window on the street..

  Owner response: I am glad to hear that your party of 12 guests enjoyed your stay in my apartment and commented on how nice and spacious it is, and very well located. And thank you for sending a referral! This apartment is a LOFT, so it does have very high ceilings about 14 feet and very huge wide windows. Having big windows makes apartment very bright and sunny, and also provides direct view of FREEDOM TOWER :) But since this building is Landmark building, makes it absolutely impossible to make any changes to facade ( including windows, but let me point out that windows are in very good condition, there are absolutely no problems with metal frame or glass). This year we didnt do any weatherization since its been very warm winter, and none of my clients made any complaints about wind draft. But in case of cold winter we make sure there is no wind draft by insulating windows frame.

  This loft was perfect for our weekend getaway for 12 ppl! It was very comfortable for all of us adults. Ceilings are high, so it makes the place feel even bigger. The loft was clean and 2 of the rooms were very spacious. The location couldn't have been better and very ideal....Subways were a block away, SOHO 20 mins on foot, Chinatown 15mins on foot. Elle was very accommodating and quick to respond to all of our questions and needs. She gave great suggestions and directions to places. She recommended a great Italian restaurant around the corner from the loft & it was amazing! Thank you, Elle.... See you in Hawaii =)

  On one hand, the apartment was spacious with 4 good sized bedrooms and 2 full baths. The location was good and the apartment was clean. Elle provided additional pots so that we could cook however the description, 'fully stocked kitchen' is misleading. Basic items like measuring spoons and cups, cookie sheets, mixing bowls, spatulas, etc were absent (some are there now because of my purchases). The 2 kitchen knives were dull and the handle on 1 of the knives came off the blade. The bedrooms are sparsely furnished with either no dresser or hanging closet for your clothes. The building in general is poorly maintained .. the front door lock on the apartment door sticks open and needs lots of fiddling around each time you leave the apartment, the front door to the building was left unlatched at least twice during our stay (so much for security), only one of two hall lights on our floor was working, and one of four elevator lights was working (sure would hate to be in either place if the only working light suddenly burned out). The apartment also needs some attention; lighting (some bulbs were burned out) flickered because they are connected to dimmers which fluorescents don't like and the light bulbs were exposed, cover plates were missing on some electric outlets, the light in bathroom was exposed (and no fan for ventilation), bar stools were missing feet so they rocked back and forth and overall the furnishings were quite cheap. 2 of the 7 nights were filled with either techno rock music from the upstairs neighbor or partying from the same floor neighbor. To Elle's credit, when I called and complained, she contacted the landlord. The next few nights were relatively quiet. We were also required to pay a weeks worth of rent in cash and did not receive a rental contract or receipt for the cash which seemed suspicious to us.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car.

However i would like to point a few things that are not correct. Kitchen is fully equipped - full size: refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove with oven,microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kitchen ventilation/exaust, many pots and pans, kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, cups, wine glasses, etc... I have had parties of 12 that were able to cook Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners without any problems. And many have commented on how well kitchen is equipped. Bedrooms have closets and dressers ( i can provide pictures upon request), there are no issues with apartment lock or with the lock on front door of the building whatsoever, and never been. Apartment is well furnished, and provides very comfortable setting for your evenings after long days out. No uncovered electric outlets or bulb issues, bar stools dont miss feet....and they dont rock :) Building is well maintained. Please do not expect a luxury high end apartment....It is not and I never represented it this way. What you will find - a very nice, very spacious clean apartment .....you can cook dinners , gather in front of TV, have a glass of wine with your family and friends....and feel like Home away from home.

  This rental is real...I too was nervous about renting, but it worked out well. Elle was helpful in answering questions. The photos reflect the true appearance..it was clean and tidy. The location is great for using the subway. My comments are about minor details that might be useful to travellers. The bedrooms are good sized, but 3 out of the 4 bedrooms do not have windows, and it got very hot in the summer. To be fair, we did arrive in the middle of a heat wave. There is one air conditionning unit for the whole apartment, and while it worked well for the main living area, the bedrooms were hot. The window in the 4th bedroom does not open. There was no fan and no window in the 2nd bathroom, so it got really hot and stuffy after a shower. The kitchen is nice to have to do some cooking, but it could have used another medium to large pot and a large salad bowl. We were given 4 rolls of toilet paper for 10 people to use for a week. Had to buy some more on our own...not a big deal, but inconvenient. The washer and dryer were very handy to have available. Overall, we were happy with the rental. Just some minor details that could have been improved upon to make the unit fantastic.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing.

  This was a great place for four adults and three kids (10, 11, and 12). Excellent location close to subways. Spacious apartment, clean, and exactly as advertised. Complaints? We occasionally heard the base thumping of music from another apartment, they didn't leave enough towels for seven people, and the front bedroom curtains were damaged, but these were minor issues. Elveara, who checked us in, was friendly and gave some helpful advice on sights and getting around NYC. The apartment was comfortable, secure, and ideally located for our activities. There is an elevator just across the hall. There are dishes, silverware, and some supplies. Prior renters had left unused supplies and snacks, and we did the same when we left. The washer/dryer came in handy. I would definitely stay there again with the same number of people. An earlier reviewer recommended taking the subway across the east river to Brooklyn and walking back on the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade. So, we did that our first night, and it was a spectacular way to see the city skyline, the harbor, the Statue of Liberty, and to look back at Brooklyn. Do it after sunset. You can find information online about it, and use Google maps to preview where to get onto the walkway. The apartment is a few blocks from the Manhattan end of the bridge. There was a $500 security deposit paid through PayPal. They refunded it the day after we checked out. All in all, this was a great experience. I recommend the apartment and the people that we dealt with.

  This was our first time renting an apartment in NYC, but we had family coming in from all over the country for a wedding, and needed a place to be together. Not only was the apartment clean, spacious, and well-equipped, but it's location was ideal for getting around, whether we took the subway or needed to find a taxi. We were also delighted to find the Whole Foods market just a quick three block walk away. E. & E. - thank you for your help in making this such a pleasant and memorable trip for our family!

  I was quite nervous about booking an apartment in NYC as I had heard alot of horror stories, but the whole process with Elle was very easy. The apartment was very spacious, well equipped and in a fantastic location with a subway station around the corner as well as supermarkets and restaurants. 8 of us stayed very comfortably. Would definitely book through Elle again and already recommended her to a friend.

  Our group of 5 enjoyed our stay in this awesome apartment. The listing description and photos are accurate. It was nicely maintained, spacious, and located in a great area with convenient access to subways, bars, restaurants, and grocery stores. If you're up for a nice morning walk, head down Broadway to Bean and Bean Coffee for some yummy organic coffee. We felt safe and it was a nice home away from home. The washer/dryer was a hit with our one friend who came to NYC with a bag full of dirty clothes! Susan, the house keeper, made our arrival/departure seamless. Elle, the owner, is great and responded to all of my questions timely. What a great deal, too. I would recommend to anyone and absolutely stay here again! =)
