Our family room is sunken two steps off the dining room to form a great room. Folks seated in the dining room area can comfortably talk and watch movies with members in the family room.
- Kid Friendly : Our home is nicely decorated in a "family style". We want you to be comfortable and relaxed. We have accommodated our home with this intention. In the winter, our home offers sledding on the hill right in our back yard. In the summer, it offers the kids opportunities to hike around and explore right our our front door.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters : We rent our home to responsible adults that would treat our home with the same care as they treat their own.
- Smoking Not Allowed : Another feature of our garage is that it protects our smoking guests from the elements. Please smoke outside only. Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1988
My wife and I went searching for a vacation home in 1987 and stumbled upon this jewel almost by accident. In this "built up world" you simply can't find homes that offer the kind of "magic" you feel when you park outside of Forest Haus and step into nature. It is a mountain home with all the conveniences of your very own home, but set to the natural beauty and awe inspiring splendor of the Rocky Mountains. There are a lot of great stories built by my family in this home. We offer to you the opportunity to create a few for yourself!
I recently celebrated my 12th anniversary of my 40th birthday. I still feel like a kid and many people will confirm that I act like one! I own an Information Technology company in Denver-land and Forest Haus offers me and my family an escape and a way to keep our lives in balance.
Like you, my family works hard. We try to do the right things and are proud citizens Selecting "Forest Haus" as a vacation home was a necessity driven out of a desire to keep "re-charging" everyday life's batteries.
Come be our guest and let Forest Haus create a little magic for your family and friends.
Why the Owner Chose Forest Haus
We chose to buy Forest Haus because we have busy lives and we wanted a place that could offer us solice when we wanted it and fun activities when our mind and body desired it. We were looking for a home that could offer our vision of a "true mountain experience". Being close to the action yet far enough away so that we could enjoy the experience on our terms and not have it dictated by nosey neighbors or rowdy party goers. We like our share of parties, but prefer to leave them behind when it is time to rest! We are nestled in the forest and our neighbors are far away. We have great privacy, great views, and nature all around us with the quiet whisper of wind blowing through the 150 foot pines.
The Unique Benefits of this House
To us, Forest Haus is the closest thing that we have found to being "magical". To this day, each time we have the opportunity to visit it (not often enough!), I feel an inner change that occurs. It's as if the "plaque" of my hectic life has been stripped away. There is a fine tuning of my inner compass. And, when I leave to return to the "regular life", I have re-polished my soul.
We all work very hard for our families. We want to be sure that if we are going to spend our hard earned money on a vacation, that it offers us something special. I have learned the value of a great vacation, and the heart felt pain of trying to buy a cheap one.
We hope that if you choose to be a guest in our vacation home that you create your own beautiful experiences and that the unique aura of Forest Haus provides the catlyst for doing so.
It is our hope that you will be our guest. We offer great value for the heart and soul.
