  My husband and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary at this luxurious villa and we couldn't have been happier! The location of the villa is outstanding, right on a beautiful, private expanse of beach in the much sought after Palmilla resort. An easy walk on the beach brings you to the topnotch Palmilla beach bar and restaurant as well as the infamous Jean Georges Market restaurant for some fine dining and potential celebrity sightings. The villa itself is well appointed, clean and well maintained with everything needed for a comfortable stay including plenty of towels, a well stocked kitchen, cable TV, wireless internet, BBQ, and plenty more. We had planned on doing lots of sightseeing and touring around the Baja area but couldn't tear ourselves away from the private pool and spa overlooking the crashing turquoise waves, relaxing on the comfortable outdoor furniture and just lounging our days away. When we did manage to venture out we found the location very convenient and central to surfing (try Cote Azul surfshop only minutes away - it's the best!), grocery shopping, fantastic restaurants and exploring both San Jose as well as Cabos San Lucas. Can't wait to go back for more surfing and exploring!

  This is the third time we have rented this home and each time is better than the one before. If your vacation requires sunshine, quiet beaches, great dining, and viewing hundreds of whales off the deck while sipping wine; then this is your place. Make sure you drive to San Jose 10 minutes from the house, great local restaurants, musicians, and mexican culture. Thursday night is Artist Walk Night and you can view all of the different galleries. Take in the Tropicana in San Jose, local food and 8 piece Cuban band.

  We had eight of us (four adults, four kids) in this place, and we loved it! Stunning beach right out the door, big pretty house, and great private pool. Plus it was right by the Palmilla hotel, which meant we could have some fancy dinners there and use the public beach next to the hotel (the beach in front of our house is for looking only, too rough to swim). Overall so lovely!

  We found this villa at the last minute when trying to plan a short notice getaway. So we were very happy to find thatTheresa was incredibly helpful and accomodating in helping us arrange our travels. The villa is everything we had hoped it would be and more. The home was beautiful, the pool was just right and the oceanview could not be beat. Everything was clean and orderly upon arrival and thanks to very friendly daily maid service it stayed that way! We were traveling with our family of four (5 month old and 2.5 year old), my mother, and another couple and their 4 year old. Being in the gated community made us feel very secure which given the precious cargo we were traveling with was important to us. The girls had a blast at the pool and on the sand. The ocean at the villa is really more for watching than swimming. I wouldn't recommend even the best swimmer hop in there, but the pool and sand were more than enough fun for us and there is a public beach within a two minute drive. Also close by in San Jose del Cabo is a great "Mega" grocery/everything and the kitchen sink type store. We travelled to Walmart one day in Cabo san Lucas and didn't really find anything there that Mega didn't already have. The drive there is between 5-10 minutes - close. Two good restaurants we found were the Seven Seas restaurant right up the road from Palmilla and Mi Casa in downtown San Jose Del Cabo. Both reasonably family friendly with english speaking staff. I would (and have) recommend this property to all family and friends. We have a fantastic trip and we're hopefull that we'll get to go again someday soon!

  We stayed at this house for over 3 weeks and it was just fabulous. Not only was the weather picture perfect we saw over 100 whale sightings right in front of us. We have stayed in Maui and the Hawaiian Islands but have never seen whale action like this. The location of the house is unbelievable you wake up to the ocean, great landscaping, ultimate security on the grounds, and being by the One and Only Hotel is a bonus.

• Paradise in Cabo

  My family (including 4 young adults) was looking for some relief from cold, drizzly PNW weather over the holidays, so we headed for Cabo. This Palmilla house is incredible! Just steps from an amazing beach (but not great for little kids swimming) that goes on forever. Every morning my wife and I caught a great sunrise and walked along the beach for an hour, watching the local fishermen cast their nets by shore and pelicans diving into the surf for breakfast. The house is beautifully furnished and perfectly located. Tanning by the pool or reading on the veranda overlooking the ocean while munching on chips and salsa; the good life! The housekeeping services were prompt, thorough and unintrusive. We ate some meals at home (I will try having someone come in to cook a meal next time) and some elsewhere. Palmilla is well located, close to San Jose del Cabo (which I prefer to Cabo) and plenty of great restaurants, and about 25 minutes from Cabo (if you want the crowds). Everything went off without a hitch and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

  After spending two weeks in this beautiful, spacious, beachfront villa, watching spectacular sunrises, riding waves like wild stallions, making margaritas and quesadillas in the very well-equipped kitchen, we are relaxed, recharged, and reluctant to return to our over-busy lives. But we'll be back. We've left our hearts here.
